Agree! I had a friend get sent a pair with the logo flipped upside down. They sent him a new pair right away after he sent out an email. He had already owned the shoe for months before sending out the email too haha

@@NachoAverageFinds For about six or seven years I have only worn New Balance for my everyday sneakers. No matter what price range they have always been comfortable. Sure some are more comfortable than others but never had any problems like heel pain, slipping or toe pain. I can't say the same for Adidas or Nike.Whenever someone has foot problems and they don't want to spend too much for customs the go to always seems to be New Balance. I am not really a sneakerhead but thought about getting the Kawhi Leonard Moreno Valley sneakers. Not because I like basketball but I grew in Moreno Valley until about middle school. So, I thought it would be an interesting thing to have.
I loved the video! I bought the entry level 574 just to try out their shoes and I’m in love. Literally feels great on the feet and looks stunning in all the different color ways. Next pair will be 993. I’m a NB fan for life!
New Balance is the "new" trend brand in the sneaker game. Good materials, great advertising campaigns and for your money you get "Made in the USA" or "Made in the UK". The latter also helps to remember a time when everything was nice and simple and you weren't fooled by the swoosh with an app

I guess the marketing strat of MADE IN THE US OR UK really attracted the customers but customers didnt really know that every materials in the shoe comes mostly from china and other asian countries LOL #AssembledInUSA
Nike is still killing it though. New balances are shit performances shoes. You could have the most expensive new balances and it will be shit compared to an ultraboost or an actual Nike performance shoe.

NB just doesn't miss when it comes to collabs and quality. NB has been killing it over the past 2+ years and they don't seem to be slowing down anytime soon! I also gotta give HUGE props to Teddy for introducing the pre-order system to his ALD collabs. THIS is how you combat resell and bots and hype. Really hoping this will be implemented with other NB releases now that he will be the head of MIUSA in 2022! So hyped for the 990v6!

That's what makes them special actually. They just stick to their own little world and do their own thing. Most brands just try to copy each other. New Balance sticks to themselves
It's actually sneaky insane the number of collabs they have been doing. Not just the names mentioned, but also Ronnie Fieg, Bodega, Kith, BAPE, Levi’s, Casablanca, Tokyo Studio, and so many more. For the most part, it seems they really want to make these collabs special. Even their own creative team is killing it. Shoes like the ones in the protection pack were fire. Also it'll only get better as Teddy Santis (Aimé Leon Dore's founder) is taking over as creative director in 2022.
I'm definitely late to the game as I started really looking at NB when the Bodega No Days Off released. Back then (only 2.5 years ago), the hype was still fairly low. I bought a GR pair of the 2002R (on sale) and was actually surprised to see that they are reselling for a lot more now. Now I have 5 pairs. 2 327s, 2 2002R (second one being the sea salt CW from the protection pack), and 992 Made in USA grey (the ones that Steve Jobs made popular).
Yeah Teddy is going to take the brand into the right direction in my opinion. I love his tastes. And I’m glad you made the jump and are now collecting new balance. They make great sneakers!
The nostalgic trend is really good for most well known companies that aren't catching up with the modern innovations of Nike and Adidas.

New balance are finally getting recognition for how good their quality of shoes are and my favorites from them are 574 and the 576 which is overlooked I copped the real ale pack for $75 on ebay and I'm now copping another 576 pair for $120

For someone who tries to buy as little clothes produced in 3rd world countries as possible, NB is a fresh breath of air amongst the classic brands. Actually there are like no other options, except maybe Converse Japan.
For what it’s worth I believe it’s only like 70% of their products are made in the USA and the rest is Vietnam. But I’m not 100% sure. Thanks for watching Nils!

Totally agree with you on there not being enough sneakers made in the 1st world. But check out Adidas consortium, they have some made in Germany models. They probably aren’t popular on this channel but the Yeezy foamrunners are made in USA and the 450s are made in Germany.

@@xXcangjieXx I haven’t heard of them, look like good stuff. I mainly buy Japanese clothing, from denim workwear brands and then spice it up with some of the more streetwear style stuff (Human Made, Visvim).

I started skating the new balance numeric line when dunks started getting crazy again. They skate so awesome, the 1010 and the 440 are both perfect shoes for skating.
i love how consistent new balance in terms of comfort and quality. low key design yet fashionable is one reason I'm in love with it. they do care about their costumers and don't just make shoes for trends like big name brands.
I love NB. The pairs I have are so comfortable. I started getting in to sneakers earlier this year and one of the first few pairs of shoes I got were NB 574. I didn't realize they were dad shoes until I started seeing that in sneaker communities online. Idc tho, they're nice to me and just so damn comfy. I also have the 1300's and 550's. 550's are definitely the cleanest to me.

Crazy to think how popular NB has become. In the past I've known the brand for it's "medical" purpose. A friend of mine wore them because of their sizes and width. And never did I think that the brand would grow into the popularity that they are currently enjoying.

I started rocking new balance last year and man those shoes are super comfortable and stylish . I ended up buying 5 more this past year. I dont really wear my Nikes as much or Jordan's or pretty much anything else at the moment due to how comfortable new balance shoes are again stylish as well.

Love NB, it was def crazy to see them become so hyped because when I was in HS they were def dad shoes, comfy but thought of as mostly shoes your pops mows the lawn in. I just recently got into sneakers and my very first pair of shoes was not Nike or Adidas or something but some NB 327’s. Dope video man

The Navy jound pair made me fall in love with new balance I have never bought a pair of my life I am a Jordan one guy but this is the best sneaker I’ve seen all year bought two pairs I can’t wait to wear them
The NB hype is real this year! Its all of the collaborations with all other designers that is driving up the hype. I just hope they keep the stocks high. NB are the best running sneakers that I’ve been wearing since the 90’s. I can’t wait for my 650’s high coming next year!!
Been a huge huge fan of the ALD 550s. Got the yellow, and now green and grey on restock. Quality is leagues ahead of the GR 550s. Aside from that, what really blew up NB this year IMO is the 992s. Castlerock, Nimbus Cloud, Blue. It helps that it's all you see on those niche IG mood board brands i.e., Hidden NY, Garden & Seeds, etc.. Cant' forget about that 2002r Protection Pack. Fire.
Those niche IG Mood Board pages get me everytime hahah They can make any snekaer look fire. Congrats on hitting on the Green pair. Those are probably the best ones.
The JFG release you mention at 00:45 are 990v3s, not 993s.

My first pair of NB's was the Stray Rats 990v3 The Joker's reprise collab and made me realize that I was sleeping on NB's heavy. Since then I have about as many NB's in my collection as Nike's. I'm just prepping myself for the future when I'm going to wear NB's all the time when I'm in Dad mode 😂

I saw those salmon coloured 1300s and your green pair on Vintage Kicks Gallery and learned they resell for the low on the secondary market, New Balance has exploded into our lives (me and wifey) as I have bought her 6 pairs in the last few months (probably due to Eddie Win videos) and she is in love (with the kicks😄), and I have yet to get some so I have chosen both those A.L.D.1300s

Interesting that you made this video now, I was watching Jacques Slate (slade?) talk about this a bit too with regards to Nike sort of failing a bit and people getting off their train.
On one hand, it makes sense...it's becoming crazy that I can't just walk into my local Nike store and get a pair of like Jordan III's because all these hyped kids bought them to resale or because it is so crazy popular they can't keep demand (which is BS IMO) I have no doubt that Covid and shipping/global supply issues have made this even worse but point stands.
The flip side is like you said, I think people are just looking for something new and fresh and while I do love my new Dunks and AF1 mids it is getting a bit boring to see like every 3rd person rocking pure white AF1s, AJ1 mid/hi's or some form of Dunks as well.
I never personally liked the shape or style for NB but I do very much appreciated that they still make *some* of their shoes in the US, I have toyed with the idea of getting them, and for an old geezer like me the arch support would be great ;)

Always been a big fan of NB's, premium quality super comfortable at a reasonable price, I ain't a big fan of collabs simply so the shoe goes out of my price range so I tend to stick with the normal 410, 373 or Trailbusters colorways which in all honesty still look stunning.

NB's and Asics are always my to go shoes when I know I will have to stand or walk all day. They are just so comfortable and durable, just like a GEL Asics. I of course love all those more popular, hyped brands like Nike or Adidas, but when I need a real comfort I always choose my NB's or Asics...
It's like you can buy medium-price NB's that will give you the same, or even more amount of comfort and stability than more expensive Nike or Adidas shoes.
And in my country NB never had this "dad shoe" status, so even decade ago they're just normal, comfy, nice looking sneakers...

Shoot, in my early teens I'm sure I clowned new balances. There weren't many that appealed to me, Now I love them so much. They're so comfy, dope quality and the neutral/earth colors are so clean.

Shit they’re best quality and looking ones have been out for a rip, those 990s. The fresh foam styles look and feel comfortable, but absolutely suck for performance.

NB are so good at maintaining his fans and also branching out to the new ones. The pre-orders is revolutionary to fight againts bots and basically pro consumer.
Even without the collabs, they have a superior quality, US made product that's leagues apart from outsourced and thinly padded shoes. The kids who saw NBs on their dad's feet growing up are now old enough to be dads and are starting to recognize the quality of 990v3 or 998 that weren't so "cool" back then

I remember rocking NB for the first time in 2012. Ever since then, I have not looked back. Literally the BEST sneaker in the game. At this point, 90% of my collection is NB baby
ngl whether its a numeric or runner, the quality is always A1. I also love the fact that the pricing really reflects on the quality of the materials. As much love as I have with other brands (looking at you Jordan/Nike), the quality has not been justified for how much they're letting it go for.
The Louise Vuitton Virgil Abloh trainer took design cues from the NB 550.

I just bought my first new balance. It’s the 500 on sale. I would say that though it’s a cheaper option, it is actually very comfortable.

I really like New balance when it comes to running shoes but I can't use them because I have a narrow foot and their clientele is for wide feet that so I instead use Asics now
They still got more retro's they need to bring back.. I got 2 pair of 550, and a 527.. only shoes that fit perfect. I used to wear the ole trail runners like boots, (outdoor chores and fishing shores).. They are as tough as boots,. Just feel better

nb always had been in Asian fashion like 574 and 990, but 2002r 550 really just popped up when it wasn't popular before

i'm more on comfy side rather than trendy side, new balance gave me comfort since i stand and walk a lot.
i do own some nike's and adidas but my 990,574 and 997 gave me the most comfort of them all.
no hate for nike,adidas and other brands but right now i don't really care about hype or popularity. i just want some comfy shoes.
