    Honestly thank you for this video! I’m a woman and I was able to replace this part on my own, following all the steps in your video! Although it did take me longer then you, I’m still so happy I was able to do so!! You’re awesome! Thanks so much! Btw I got my part for $48 on Amazon! My mechanic was originally gonna charge me 800 dollars! I didn’t have that and saved myself a ton! So glad this video exists!!! This will help many and it’s straight to the point!

    Thanks so much for this video. My son's 2005 Accord was popping 2251 and 2138 and had gone into limp mode twice. Your video was a great resource and showed me how to replace it myself. Still need to fix the O2 sensor for 2251, but found a video for that as well. I've saved a lot of money over the years on various home projects and repairs, and auto repairs. Major kudos to folks like you!

    I finally came to Mexico and just installed that part it took me almost 2 hours trying to get that part out and that nut the one you turn with one finger I had to lubricated and use a wrench to loosen it and tighten it. And I had to watch your video like 3 times just to make sure I didn't missed anything.
    Once againg thanks for making the video part cost me $64 at Amazon and $100 at Mexican Customs for bringing car parts into the country I told them I had to bring it they don't sell it anywhere in Mexico

    My 2006 accord had this problem for few months, it gradually become worse and worse.
    With annoying CHECK engine light + jerking + hesitation + will drive very slow even if I push on pedal + very rough shifting in manual because of jerking.
    Finally got this part sensor, it was not available in my country and expensive, had no option other than paying $306 to dealer.
    Will install it after seeing this video 👍

    Thats the part that I need for a 2006 Honda Accord that I have in mexico.
    I've tried buying it at Autozone and they don't have it. Took it to a mechanic over there and had the car for 2 days and couldn't fix it said he had a friend that works at a honda dealer and he was going to reprogram the car.
    And the friend never showed up.
    A week later the Mechanic calls us and just strayed out says oooh you need a new computer.How the hell did the mechanic came up with that diagnosis a week later with out checking the car?
    Thats when I started to do some reserch on line and it had that same p2138 code and found out it was the part that you replaced on this video.
    Thanks for showing us the part number and where you got it from.
    Freaking car scares the hell out of me every time I go to mexico and it just kinda dies out while Im driving it.

    How do you know it was this component, not the other APPS sensor by the accelarator pedal, or the throttle body position sensor (this code P2138 fires for a mis-corelation between the 2 APPS sensors or the Throttle Body Sensor).

      The v6 has a terrible transmission that goes out about every 60,00-80,000 miles. Mine has 190,000 miles and on it's third transmission.

      @@jamesbooth6092 are you sire you are getting the right info and not just scammed? I know the tranny's on these cars aren't the best but many people have gone 200k+ miles without too much maintenance. And my car 127k miles at the moment and only just started having that issue. When I looked under the hood at the switches I found one of my cables got ripped out somehow and therefore not working, so that Is most likely my only issue. I am In the process of looking for someone to solder It for me. After that I will replace my transmission fluid and filter and then go to back to the rest of my maintenance before I decide to sell the car.

    • @Emma-np8tt
      @Emma-np8tt Před 2 lety

      @@beast11135 idk what that guy's on, but most Honda Accord engines/transmission will last a LONG time. My Honda before was 2004 V6 (243k miles) and she ran super smooth. The one I have now unfortunately (306k) is acting up from what I believe is a sensor issue. It could have been the cable and I would just check out sensors if I were you. If it was transmission I think there'd be more issues like metal shavings in fluid and dark or burnt smelling fluid. Hope this helps

  • @nunyabusiness5075
    @nunyabusiness5075 Před rokem

    Nice video but......No fair....... On the 2007 V6 model I have it's just a bit tighter and the bar across the shock towers don't allow you to get the APPS sensor out with the bracket attached. I had to take the bracket off before I could get the APPS out. Other than that it's the same. I gambled on the $43 part off Amazon rather than spend $160 on the Honda part. So far so good.
    Mine is also a 6 speed manual, so when the accelerator sensor screws up you just feel stupid like it's your fault the car stalls as you let the clutch out.
