Fun fact, the broken textures that you found when going into third person aren't actually broken textures at all. The Player is placed inside the room with the basic shapes but the camera is tracking the player's movements in the basic room and using that to project the more detailed room. When the room stops moving, the player is teleported to the more detailed room. Also, the level transition is what helps teleport the player whilst in the elevator from one level to the next.
That's actually genius, you don't have to worry about the collision in animation
I was going to say that, But good that someone else knows
It doesn't "project" the better room, it just moves the camera there
@@Tman564wsme too haha😅
0:18 Guys, something is wrong with my Laser receptacles
0:32 you can see him in every map with a screen that is showing him
EDIT: i may not have been as clear as i thought i was, what i meant was that there is a room like that as long as it has that screen with wheatley
Yep.
For 3. You can see him in every map that has a monitor
not quite right
you can see everything on a monitor, what is in the "monitor room
if there is no "monitor room" then the monitor should show nothing or the game crashes if there is no proper error handling
if i put wheatly in the room, the monitor.... shows wheatly... and the same for cubes and glados :D
the monitor shows only the content of the room
@@blazzycrafter yeah thats what i meant
Pretty much theres a camera in front of this model of wheatley that plays the animation on the monitors in the test chamber.
The same thing also works in Half Life2 in maps that contain breen monitors
P-body gave a jumpscare by coming out like that
i don't know exactly why 2 is caused, i don't have portal 2's source code, but if i had to guess, it's probably caused because of the laser catchers being stuck in the portal environment, then being bumped by the portal. 5 isn't actually meant to be an easter egg, valve made it so that p-body only runs away when you look at him, or after 20 seconds or so from the chamber collapsing. 15 is caused because the faith plates actually have no collisions, there's just a trigger that catapults you when you touch it. (this is why you can go under one of the faith plates in the coop hub.) the faith plate has been hard coded to have a very small delay before triggering the faith plate again, so the cube just falls under.
You can see Wheatley outside of the map on every map that includes a monitor displaying him.
Number four is basically just repeating the first second of the line over and over that’s why
the painting was and an illusion T_T
also I knew about the 2nd one because my friend and I completly broke the game in multiplayer lol
ayo wiat thats a secret room? lol I went in there and grabbed some beans on my first playthrough lol, I thought that was a way out lol
13 isnt true, it's not an ending
Its a joke xd
@@marchers_5845 bruh
@@marchers_5845 "its" and "it's" are two different words
@@breadcraft3605 cool 👍
funny thing i did an 8 accidently when playing for the first time thinking that's how you should do it and was suprised seeing potatOS on my portalgun once the next map loaded
0:17 guyyys there's something wrong with my test chamber
also nice vid btw, i now know how to enhance my p2 S H E N A N A G I N S
I feel like 7 could be used as a speedrun strat
There is faster route. But yeah it can be
it is used iirc, unless it isnt replaced with stucklaunch (idr is it possible there)
@@electrodynamite12 Its only used in Speedrun mod now.
And 14 aswell
@@The_Lyrics13 and 14 are both speedrun routes, but 14 is a very slow one (you can get on the railing with pretty much the exact same portal placement, then go to the very very end of it, find a 1 pixel gap to the "vitrified doors" white wall and shoot a portal there, then use a portal stand to the top of elevator) ((from there there are two options: you can either just activate the slope trigger by precisely placing the portal and walking into it, or you can use a reportal and get pushed right to the ending of the room, finishing the entire chamber in 30s)
Awesome Interesting Video.
It probably says a lot abt me the I knew all of these
Portal 1 was the first game I ever played at 4 years old and then I played portal 2 at 6 years old
Im 19 now and I still return to both games every year
Niiiiiice.... I didn't know most of them. 👍
No secret endings
When I completed Portal 2 for the first time I accidentally did the potato skip (#8). I loaded into the next 'level' with GLaDOS suddenly on my portal gun. Kinda confusing
Only knew about 3, 5, 6, and 9 tbh
Fun Fact: Portal 2 Speedrunners use the P-Body Easter Egg to keep the door open so that they can CFG to the other side and get in the door
Kool
0:43 is that cause that IS what appears in monitors
That's basically how Portal 2 manages its screens.
source engine is funny sometimes
Ohhhhh
The fact: everywhere were logo Aperture
