This game was my biggest surprise. Especially the single player mode. The relationship between the soldier and the mech and the time-jumping stage was amazing. I often recommend this game to people but somehow it's hard for them to reach for it.
Definitely. And Bounty Hunt is worth finding a group to play it with you. It's a woefully underrated multiplayer mode, and more people need to play it.
Crazy to think that with over 7000 physical games, you still manage to find time to try out digital ones on Gamepass. Keep these up, you made me fall in love with Forza Horizon 4.
I just played forza horizon 4 for the first time today on my new series X...after 30 minutes I wanted to switch to halo and immediately green screen and turned it off and on again was still green...may have overheated it so keeping an eye on it pretty wack

My poor work horse PS3 broke last year after a literal decade of hard work. A friend lent me a One S for a bit, signed up for ultimate, found a OneX bundle for nearly half off MSRP grabbed it and haven't looked back. Aside from Spiderman, every game I play is on both systems.

AI is definitely dumbed down to make things simple for modern players, so you always have something to shoot. I bet most AI designers would kill for the chance to make enemies that hide, run, bait, flank etc.

I was quite late to Xbox this generation. Had the PS4 at launch but only got the 1S a year and a half ago as a father's day present. Game Pass is so much better than Now in presentation to line up and value. Theres just tons of really great games. What I also love is the Game Pass quests. If you join the Microsoft Rewards program you get quests to do for points. These often getting me trying games that maybe usually I wouldn't and I've found a fair few hidden gems this way.
@@dalastdon2574 yeah I definitely get what you mean. The one downside is that because I have 3 kids; I don't get anywhere near enough time gaming. And sometimes certain games come along and distract me before I finish playing the one I've been working on.

I got the gamepass a year ago now and I haven't looked back, it has been great. They just added the EA pass as well so now we get gems like Battlefront 2, Jedi Fallen Order, and even the latest sports games. It has turned into the Netflix of gaming, at least for me!

You only get the sports games for a 10 hour trial. And AAA games only come a year after release. Still worth it but not as good as you're making it sound.

The Graznei Bridge mission in Black is an all-time great FPS level. Entire game was worth the new price just for that. Black also has the best combination of score and sound effects of any 6th gen game. On a full surround system, it puts most modern games to shame.
I've always wanted to play Titanfall, but never got around to it. Indivisible looks interesting. I had the original Valkyrie Profile and sold it for like 10 dollars........one of my biggest gaming regrets
single player is great, in particular one level which revolves around a clever time travel mechanic akin to what the medium looks to be doing, or what soul reaver did back in the day (with flipping between the living and dead worlds to open pathways etc.) titanfall is the old infinity ward people from the early cod days, so its multiplayer plays a lot like modern warfare 2+mechs (and bots, you'll have a handful of other players and dozens of bots, with players being worth far more and bots functioning as fodder/distraction) its fun for what it is, and makes it less frustrating for people who aren't great at pvp, especially since mechs are on a timer, rather than being tied to kills, so everybody gets them at least once a match (performing well speeds up the timer so good players get them more often)

As a diehard metroid fan since the original I have to admit I fell in love with this game the second I booted it up. Intuitive controls, great graphics, good puzzle design and level layout; there's just so many reasons to dig this game.

I was really excited to play Brutal Legend for the first time in years. It was such a unique game in terms of presentation, and while it is a bit "fetchy" the game IS still a lot of fun. Was really excited to see it added as it's always more convenient to play older games on your newer consoles for convenience.
It's sad because "Wandersong" will be remove next month. But it's a very good game with mind blowing world and plot. Another game you should try is "Max:Curse of brotherhood".

That lonely mountains game is rage inducing thinking your killing a map until you get most of the way down and hit a tree and have to start again. Want a real mountain biking game from game pass? Try descenders it’s a lot easier on the eyes, has a career mode and the controls are awesome

If you're intersted in a more story focused experience, I highly recommend Night in the Woods! It's style is very simplistic but the story it packs is super interesting. Every playthrough you discover stuff that you may not have the first time around, which helps you fill out Mae's notebook to completion.
Man that Gato Roboto game really looked like downwell graphically. You should really check out moonlighter if you're gonna do another one of these. Cause it's amazing and one of my games of the year, I've been evangelising for it a lot ha.
I'm a longtime Nintendo and Sony fan, but I haven't had an Xbox since my sister won an OG Xbox at school years ago. Game Pass really pushed me to get a Series X in addition to a PS5 this year, and I'm very happy with it. The first game I played on the Series X was Banjo-Kazooie through Rare Replay, which happens to be one of my favorite games of all time, and I had a blast with it. I think Game Pass will save money long-term because I'll probably buy fewer games, but play more games overall.
black was so good when it came out, id seen it on game pass but i was too scared to see if i was remembering it with rose coloured glasses. maybe i should play it again
MJR, I gotta ask because I'm all about next-gen and watch CZcams in 4K. Are you going to upgrade your capture card for 4K/60 footage? The videos look fine but I think showcasing next-gen games in 4K would be alot better. I think it's about time to make that jump.
Oh, I almost forgot, try Hotshot Racing! Very good arcade racing game that reminds a lot the Sega classics like Daytona USA and Scud Racer. Definitely a must play!
Great video! I've recently got the series S with all access pass. I found I was doing what I do on Netflix and kept scrolling through with there being so much choice. Definitely going to check out Titanfall and The Touryst!
Also those who missed out on Battlefield series campaigns Now is the best time to enjoy Bad company and 3 are my personal favourites 🤩 ( crysis triology is avaliable too )
Hi Is it true that the X & S are not useable off line until the console has done a security validation check with Microsoft servers. So it’s a brick if you have a broadband outage?
you need to be connected once, the first time you turn your console on, that's it. It works like the xbox one, you don't need an internet connection. You can even play game pass games offline.
I totally recommend trying Pathologic 2. It's hard, but it's an experience like no other. The atmosphere, writing and art-design are abolutely amazing. And there are difficulty settings now, if you're really having a hard time (although it should be played on default since basically it's a game about surviving the plague)
I have had game pass for the past 6 months and I have had no regrets. For what you get, it is the best deal in gaming.

CrossCode is sooo good. If you have not played it, do, You will love it. It is about 30-40 hours but so worth it.

Titanfall 2 is the one of the absolute best single player campaigns I've ever played. Unbelievable.
If you haven't already played them elsewhere, The Messenger and Tetris Effect are absolutely worth checking out.
The messenger is such an underrated game. Not perfect, but a solid 9.5 from me.

Journey to the savage planet and a plague's tale are some of my favorite single-player games. You would definitely like them.

it was very well reviewed, but released right between battlefield 1 and cod: infinite warfare, so honestly it was just a victim of its release date.

Black was the first game I downloaded when EA Access got added to GamePass
Neon Abyss, Slay the Spire, What Remains of Edith Finch and Tetris Effect are all great!
If you're intersted in a more story focused experience, I highly recommend Night in the Woods! It's style is very simplistic but the story it packs is super interesting. Every playthrough you discover stuff that you may not have the first time around, which helps you fill out Mae's notebook to completion.

Man that Gato Roboto game really looked like downwell graphically. You should really check out moonlighter if you're gonna do another one of these. Cause it's amazing and one of my games of the year, I've been evangelising for it a lot ha.

Desenders is like the lonely mountain downhill game but first person and you can do tricks also on gamepass.

I'm a longtime Nintendo and Sony fan, but I haven't had an Xbox since my sister won an OG Xbox at school years ago. Game Pass really pushed me to get a Series X in addition to a PS5 this year, and I'm very happy with it. The first game I played on the Series X was Banjo-Kazooie through Rare Replay, which happens to be one of my favorite games of all time, and I had a blast with it. I think Game Pass will save money long-term because I'll probably buy fewer games, but play more games overall.

I loved this game too. I played it months ago on Xbox one X and it was such a surprise and ran so perfectly.
The Touryst runs at 4K 120 Hz on the XSX if you have a HDMI 2.1 TV. Looks stunning!

MJR, I gotta ask because I'm all about next-gen and watch CZcams in 4K. Are you going to upgrade your capture card for 4K/60 footage? The videos look fine but I think showcasing next-gen games in 4K would be alot better. I think it's about time to make that jump.

Oh, I almost forgot, try Hotshot Racing! Very good arcade racing game that reminds a lot the Sega classics like Daytona USA and Scud Racer. Definitely a must play!
Great video! I've recently got the series S with all access pass. I found I was doing what I do on Netflix and kept scrolling through with there being so much choice. Definitely going to check out Titanfall and The Touryst!

Hi Is it true that the X & S are not useable off line until the console has done a security validation check with Microsoft servers. So it’s a brick if you have a broadband outage?
you need to be connected once, the first time you turn your console on, that's it. It works like the xbox one, you don't need an internet connection. You can even play game pass games offline.
I totally recommend trying Pathologic 2. It's hard, but it's an experience like no other. The atmosphere, writing and art-design are abolutely amazing. And there are difficulty settings now, if you're really having a hard time (although it should be played on default since basically it's a game about surviving the plague)
Gog Galaxy is a great way to browse the gamepass library if you are on PC.
Sea of thieves on the game pass is so addicting. Trying to recreated my own Black Pearl with the ship cosmetics
