If Kirby crouches for long enough he also inflates slightly, though, I’m not sure if it would be enough to allow for a non-dash grab

The problem is he wasn't even good, I play Random And grabs only in tournaments for laughs. It's not that hard.
I like the face cam, but I think it would be better on the top left corner. That way, we can see how much time is left in the match.

I have a challenge idea
It’s called “Straight Outta Street Fighter”
- Have to use Ryu
- Cannot Get Up Roll or Attack
- No Running (but you can foxtrot forwards repeatedly)
- If the opponent is on top of you while you’re neutral get up-ing you have to use UpB to get them off of you
- You can only Down B cancel on the Ground
- No Double Jumping
- No Pummeling after a Grab
- Must use Hadoken for spacing & stopping approaches
- Try to Parry every Attack you can see coming
- No Spot Dodging
- No Rolling
NixUniverse And must only use the true inputs for special moves
So Ryu cannot normally just do a punch in street fighter?

Tariq McMaster No specials, and no jab finishers. Robin with only tomes wouldn't be too bad cause then he would be limited to only specials.
Thing is that means he wouldn't have access to Checkmate or his other kill moves. I'd say without tomes is more doable.
I think it'd be more fun to just have the requirement not to lose an item.

Josh Faine well it’s hard enough to gimp someone with multiple jumps like Kirby. That and any other character, if he misses, he can be gimped easily and can’t recover because no up-b, so if he misses he dies
If Kirby just stayed crouched the whole game he literally could not have lost

Marth also has down throw for this challenge, although I never saw him use it.
Which is a shame, because stage control didn't matter beyond stalling and getting around move staling with different throws would have put him up about ten throws by the end.

Brawl has no hitstun if you use an aerial attack or an air dodge. PM would be good though.
There are very few kill throws prior to Smash 4. Ness and Mewtwo are the only characters I can think of who actually had reasonably strong kill throws in Melee.
Melon Lord Peach's forward-throw had crazy scaling. It would delete you near the ledge.

As ridiculously impressed as I am that you actually had the willpower and patience to do this challenge, after trying it myself, this challenge unlike some of the others is so absurdly shallow and allows for such little creativity that its not actually very fun.
For something along the same kind of lines that I personally have enjoyed much more, I would suggest:
Robin but only with bronze sword:
- jab 1/2, all tilts, dash attack, getup/ledge attack, and all (bronze) aerials are fair game (if you input the aerial light enough youll get the bronze version even if you still have levin sword. Bronze smashes WOULD be game, but you can only do those if you have no levin sword)
Literally throwing the game
