It shouldn't exist. I get the Wii U version has tags so maybe thats why but this is why you just leave or stop playing the game if youre losing or being "bullied". This report system just leads to abuse of it from sore losers. =/

This is what I don’t like about the Report System in this game. Players can just up & report you just because they’re salty that you beat them, they just file the report & boom you’re in For Glory hell but they have no REAL reason at all. That’s one of the things that sucks about being a Good Player. Scrubs can’t handle when you cut through them like Butter so they try to bring you dont to their Toxic Level.
Well, if they can't beat you in the game, they can beat your mental stability to dust by dragging you down to the shadow blacklist where their kind thrive. In the end, they always try to find some way to make you take an L.

The funny part is that no matter what your reason was for the report, the result is always this terrible blacklist. You can get away with modding online and cannot even be banned from playing. I abused the T-pose Kirby glitch online for shits and giggles in Casuals, 1-shotting people in the teaming lobbies for fun.
Eventually, people got fed up and reported it enough times, and I merely ended up on the blacklist again. That's how shitty their Report system is. Cheating doesn't even warrant a true punishment.

You can actually get stuck in the reported server, and you don't even have to trash talk to get in there. Just by reporting and blocking too many people the game will put you in the banned server for like a week or two.

Maybe its because there are actually kind players who dont take a game overboard seriously like a manchild.
I know about it, but never been in it. 95% of people I play actually take their L or W like a man. I find the occasional one that's fun to play too and we usually start easing it up after a few matches. I think I've only seen maybe 10 really salty people max.
Mainly cause rarely play For Glory.... or just smash in general, mainly parties or hangouts are when I play it...

There’s no warning whatsoever. But you used to be able to find out by when you go to tourney mode, you wouldn’t be able to enter any of them whatsoever.
Whenever you can't find a match in the waiting room, back out to the css. Always goes faster
I'd love to see some of these opponents in local tourneys (if they even go to one). This is why we need a ranked mode for the next 1v1 online mode.

This is how bad the Report system is for Sm4sh. If enough people decide to report you for being too good, you get moved into this shit show for no reason. No one in FG Hell has any sort of decency and will make you want to just stop playing.
I've been sent to FG Hell not once, but TWICE. It's such a pain that they don't even bother telling you how long you'll have to wait until you can play against a real opponent.
Oh, and FYI Styles, it's more of an accumulation of strikes over time from many players where you're eventually blacklisted. My guess is that R.O.B. was the last straw in the system that needed to be pulled in order to send you there.

You can only report people or look at their profiles if you played a match.
This means you could technically spam insults and leave before the game starts and you can't be reported (please don't do that)

I literally played that "PAC E STAN" player yesterday, and it was the most awful connection I ever had! What's worse, he actually wanted to fight in that connection. I had to mash any move 2 to 3 seconds before the move came out. In the end, I won because he Up-B'd/fell past the ledge...

I didn't even know this thing exists, but I am probably in it now that I think of it. Last time I was on there I had a Mewtwo literally just running to the other side of the stage, charging shadow ball and waiting (against my ganon) and talked shit through tags. Then, I had a super sweaty Cloud who just walled me out, got me offstage and taunted. So much cancer.
I personally think they should prohibit name tags in Smash Bros Ultimate Online. BUT have the option to change your controls in settings but still be called "Player 1"
