    Very Good Video, It's good to see you're back making these. It's been a minute.
    I take it that the 2JZ GTE water pump also has a different bolt pattern than the 2JZ GE ?

    • @cheapkailaujing

      Can also.. But during warm up it will take longer and wear out piston rings a little bit. Just warm up longer and don't Rev during cold

    Hi mate, thank you for your explanation.
    I have question relating to 2jz vvti from aristo. I was planning to install a vicious fan however I notice that the water pump "pulley" is totally different from a 2jz non vvti vicous fan.Do you have any suggest what model/car/part should able to retrofit to it?

    Hey Michael, I've really been enjoying this 2jz Tuesday series. I have a 1993 SC300 that I'm turbocharging, and using a Garrett water cooled turbo. Any advice on where on the engine should I plumb my coolant feed and return in? I don't know the entire coolant system of the 2jz ge very well. Thanks :)

    • @cheapkailaujing
      @cheapkailaujing  Před 3 lety +1

      Hmm my turbo does not have water cooling feature, only oil cooling. But I would get water from the back of the cylinder head and back to the pipe connecting to the water pump. Exactly the same as the climate control connector to the a/C system. Thanks for ur support!! :)

    I have always been under the impression and have never put silicone gasket on with an oem gasket. Usually one or the other but not both. Is there a reason you chose to do this? The 2JZGTE oem gasket is paper but the GE is metal, I wonder why. I enjoy watching your videos! Very informative, thank you for taking the time to make these videos.

    • @cheapkailaujing
      @cheapkailaujing  Před 4 lety +1

      Hmm to me it's just additional insurance. It's not that troublesome to add silicone, but super troublesome if found out it's leaking after starting the car haha

    • @TripasGarage
      @TripasGarage Před 4 lety +1

      Michael Chung Racing -Cars Explained I appreciate your reply. I used the FSM when putting mine together a year ago, no silicone is mentioned in the FSM. Everything was good, but now a year later I have noticed water leaking from between the gasket. Purchases a new oem gasket and it arrived. I’m too afraid to put silicone gasket on an oem paper style gasket.

    my Aristo 2JZ GTE VVTI rear housing for the water neck pump is at an angle and I have to use a water bypass pipe. Is there a way to convert it to the USDM 2JZ GTE water pump that has a vertical rear housing hole?

    • @cheapkailaujing
      @cheapkailaujing  Před 3 lety
