    Cable 15 has 20 terminals or 10 pairs of phone cables. If all were used that would be 10 different locations connected to this bunker. Thank you for finding this location! Lots of fun.

    The engineering that took place here to build all the bunkers and fighting positions, truly, there must have been something of great value that need to be protected. What an amazing location on that hillside, the view of the area to be protected is fantastic. They had complete control of those roads. Such beautiful bunkers and MG positions completely hidden for decades by the forest. I can understand your excitement to discover these untouched structures. It was interesting to learn about L type bunkers which offered only light protection. I guess they would not have survived bombs. Thank you for taking us along to see them with you and EE. It is great to share in a unique moment like this. Greetings until next time.

    Great work guys! Amazing seeing those bunkers and MG positions just sitting there as if they were abandoned yesterday. And so cool that they have been virtually untouched all these decades. Lets hope they stay that way for future History Hunters. Buried by the forest for so long definitely makes you wonder what else has been forgotten and is out there waiting to be discovered. Really appreciate the effort and time you put into bringing these hidden gems to us. Stay well and safe! Cheers!

    The variety of German Bunker types is interesting and they have beautiful scenery all around them. What a different World it would be had the Invasion failed...the Past History has lead to the Present with turmoil and Chaos everywhere that the Germans did not create. The Bunkers/the Installation is so quiet, peaceful, and serene today - I wonder what everything would be like today if the Invasion had failed...

      sorry James, my father was part of that antifa crowd so I am glad it turned out like it did, or even more important, what if the german people had not been swayed by the little corporal !

    • @jamesgibbs7872
      @jamesgibbs7872 Před 2 lety +3

      @@TheBudman52 yes - my relatives were part of that "Antifa" crowd too, German Folk, also, and Jews - so I am looking at this from multiple personal interests. Further, I have Japanese, Chinese, Indigenous Americas, British, Italian, African, and Russian Ancestry just to sweeten the Pot a little bit so I am interested in a lot of what ifs, whys, and who did what questions.The Primary Hitler question that comes to mind is since he had Jewish Ancestry why did he hate Jews so insanely that he dreamed up and implemented the Holocaust/Final Solution?
      I wonder what would have happened if in the mid-Twenties the German People had fully realized that Hitler was insane and that World Industrialists and Bankers were using his popularity and charisma to gather together War Mongers and Anti-Semites to start a Second World War?
      I wonder if Hitler had not attacked Russia in 1941 would Stalin have preemptively attacked Germany - since it was obvious that Hitler had only made the Pact with Stalin to buy him time to prepare an attack on Russia for its Oil Fields?
      I also wish that Hitler had not had the hate for Jews that drove this madness into the murders of 6 million + Jews, and the murders of 10's of millions of other peoples in Death Camps, Massacres, and World War II Battles! One Insane man caused all of these Deaths by being enabled by Bankers and Industrialists and/or Anti-Semites to lecture before the German Folk and deceive them initially about his Goal of Rebuilding Germany and Giving Pride back to the German People after WWI! Hitler's True Goal from the start was the Final Solution and as historical research has shown everything that he did politically was a stepping stone to achieving that - all of his Lies, treaties, and misdirection were all orchestrated by him to fool the majority of German Folk that he had good intentions and get their backing, to get the money and industry backing from the Bankers and Industrialists to rebuild Germany's Economy in order to Rebuild Germany's Military to gain total control over Germany, oppress the Jews, gain Living Room for Germans, and Implement the Final Solution! Some people claim that all the German Folk knew all of this - I do not believe this - I believe that only a relatively few of the Top Ranking NAZIS, Industrialists, and Bankers knew all of this up front and it was only around 1943 that the a small percentage of the Majority of German Folk became aware of the Death Camps and Insanity of Hitler and these Folk were aghast at that discovery. These are the questions that I want answered in all the above. And I look at the chaos and turmoil in the World today with the Chinese Communist Party aggression toward the rest of the World, the Russian aggression toward the Ukraine, the Islamists Terrorists, Drug Cartels, Human Trafficking Cartels, and the Drug Addiction Epidemic Worldwide and I wonder would all of this be the way it is today if the WWII Allied Invasion had failed? Just an interesting reflection on why things are the way they are and how they might have been had history had been otherwise in the Past!
      I like the Historical Research and Adventures that WW2 HISTORY HUNTER does to bring the Cold Hard Reality of WW2 Germany into focus through finding WW2 artifacts and exploration and video documentation of WW2 German fortifications that gives a foundation to build the Historical Story of WW2 upon tangible things.

    Fascinating area, very strategically laid out, anything coming down that road slows down almost to a stop for the sharp bend, making them easy targets. The electrical boxes were fantastic, would be great to see how the electrical connections were made inside the box to the apparatus within the bunker. What is also interesting is that the boxes appear to have substantial flat earth bar connected to them at the right-hand side going down into the ground. Would be great for you to scrape the surface of one t see if it was copper. Thanks for taking us along.

    Sweet bike riding skills, HH...
    One handed while filming and narrating... Excellent 😁 (or were you using a head mounted Go-pro 🤔)
    Nice stable footage while riding a bike, that's for sure!
    Beautiful location.
    Untouched and hidden away.
    Always great to see graffiti free bunkers.
    Thanks again for sharing your awesome adventures and explores!

    You found a connection box with cables marked with 15 and 16 in the first bunker in the next bunker 1 and 2 plus the third bunker that makes me think, are there more bunkers there waiting to be found.

    I wonder who took all the electronics in the bunkers? Germans who abandon the bunkers, the advancing allies who took them to study the technology or use to listen in on the Germans or villagers who scavenge the bunkers to sell it as scrap? If the walls of the bunkers could talk the stories they could tell.

    • @WW2HistoryHunter
      @WW2HistoryHunter  Před 2 lety +1

      Most of the equipment was either taken by the military or scavenged by locals right after the war. thanks Anthony.

    I wonder why the Germans determined this was a strategic location? Sure there is a road there but why is it more important than any other road.? Was there something else in the area? The bunker is extremely clean for the age of it. No graffiti or trash. Wonderful to see these pieces of untouched history.

    • @WW2HistoryHunter

      The high ground and what that road leads to is the key factor of why hey had to have that hill i think. Thanks Anthony.

    Some of your best bunker finds. You are killing me my friend the junction at time stamp 6:28 needs to be restored and displayed. That the wire terminals still turn is a testament to Siemens AG and their work. This whole site needs to be preserved for history since it is in good condition. Well done my friend nice way to break up my work schedule. Stay safe and healthy out there. EE keep chasing the rabbits soon you will be faster than them.

      @@Blackbirdnini Except you know those "roundy rounds" on the roads? Well when it's real busy those are very stressful, we don't have many roundy rounds in America, Europe has them all over. I been to Germany many times and Palma De Mallorca in Spain. Holiday's there is great just don't drive and have plenty of Euros 💰 I know someone in Berlin so I do don't have to pay 1000s for hotels and taxis
