    Thanks for demonstrating the accessories. Now I can start making my own pasta without emulsifiers.

    This really is a great juicer. I set my machine up so that the pasta goes right in the boiling water. 5 mins and it is done.

    I can assure you that the Omega does not make zucchini pasta. It just chews it up and spits out chunks with the extrusion attachments and you get a little juice too. It was worth a try!

    We had a masticating juicer and a Aicook centrifugal juicer like this one czcams.com/users/postUgkxXHNfxr6U9XrHQpsdjUrKNVP231BfS9q9 Both of them made about the same amount of juice.The Aikcook one died in 3 weeks haha. China brand. LolSo we bought this one since at least we knew the brand name and it was about the same price.Imagine our surprise when we make two 16 oz cups of celery juice and have leftover celery. We juiced it and made almost another cup! Same thing happened with our cucumber juice. So it's about 20 - 30 % more juice than our other two juicers including the masticating cold press one!The motor is so much stronger on this one than the Aikcook. It sucks in the vegetables and spits them out like it's angry.I've only had it a few days so don't know how long it will last but all the plastics and interior is much stronger and better made than the other two we had. If it breaks, I can buy a new one with the savings in vegetable bill. Haha.This literally is going to save me about 60- 80 bucks a month because of the juice output. No one likes to waste food.Update! It broke in 8 days. Motor started freaking out. I'm going to get another of them and try my luck because I really really want this one to be the one.

    We've never seen it done and there's no mention of it in the literature. For mashed potatoes we recommend a food mill ( the rotary kind, like your grandmother used to make apple sauce).

    We don't see anything in the documentation about zucchini pasta. We have a call into our sales rep about this and we'll update you as soon as we have more info.

    i JUST MADE SEMOLINA PASTA AND MY MACHINE WAS MAKING CRACKING NOISES AND THEN WOULD SEIZE UP. I WOULD REVERSE THE AUGER AND TRY AGAIN. I TOOK IT APART AND CHECKED TO MAKE SURE EVERYTHING WAS PUT IN RIGHT. IT KEPT DOING THIS THE WHOLE TIME. I FINALLY GOT THROUGH ALL MY DOUGH BUT I'M AFRAID MY MACHINE WAS OVER HEATING AND WOULD BREAK. SOMETHINGS NOT RIGHT. HAS ANYONE HAD THIS PROBLEM. MY MACHINE IS ABOUT 3 TO 4 YEARS OLD AND HASN'T BEEN USED ALL THAT MUCH. I'M BUMMED.

      Truth Lover my Omega juicer has made a cracking sound too, so I stopped it immediately, took it apart, cleaned all parts, then put back together and it was fine again. I haven't tried making pasta or any dough, but am about to try sprouted bread dough with it. Anyway, maybe your dough was too wet. I know when I'm doing softer veggies or fruits when juicing it gets bogged down, can't pass stuff through, so I add carrots or anything hard like that between the soft stuff, cleans it out better. I think sprouted bread is the answer, but I haven't tried it yet haha. The one I'm going to make is called "How to Make Sprouted Bread!" right here on CZcams, check it out. I'm just trying to decide if I should add something else before trying it, it's pretty basic but seems to go through her omega juicer just fine!

    Never had the desire to make pasta with my omega. Great though. Gimmicky at best. I'm happy its keeping me healthy juicing alone if it just does that for 30 years I'll be just as happy beside I wouldn't want my juice tasting like flour dough or coffee grinds

    • @becomeaveganchef6680
      @becomeaveganchef6680 Před 3 lety +6

      i dont see the gimmick about it.. Its great to make pasta with this. I prepare a firm pasta dough and cut into smaller pieces and then run through my Omega. Works great and is super fast. Its easier than a pasta machine, so why not? Unless you don't make homemade pasta..Maybe thats the case? You don't make it?
