I read an article that an old toxic dumpsite from Palestine tx the liquids flow into Galveston bay. I found this out when I was researching blue crabbing and it stated the fish in the bay has a certain level of toxicity. I ended up not blue crabbing after reading this

Dream home in Galveston!? Blue water in Galveston? I lived in Houston for 12 years and took SEVERAL trips to Galveston and I worked in Galveston. I just moved a little over a year ago. It’s a crap hole with some of the poorest residents. And the most dirty water! WTH?
Galveston is a mess that's where all the big storms hit and when we were down there that beach was so dirty
