Property Description: "The majestic snowcapped panorama of Mt. Evans from this hillside location are rivaled by the architectural masterpiece of Chateau V. Designed by Boulder’s BVZ Architects and inspired by the Biltmore Mansion in Asheville, NC, this four story Texas limestone structure is built facing west to embrace the unparalleled views and mirrors the historic Biltmore landmark with its central courtyard, dormered windows, pitched roofs, turrets, lit colonnade of columns and sculptural ornamentation. A port-cochere gives passageway to a balanced façade with two projecting wings that connect to the entrance tower. The marbled entrance hall provides one of many entries to an open loggia. Marble flooring, utilized throughout the home, reflects the sunlight to create a soothing naturally lit interior. To the right of the entry is the amazing great room with immense glass wall full of mountain vistas, custom limestone fireplace and unique spoked ceiling detail. The great room opens to the kitchen which utilizes the self-supporting ceramic tile vault and arch system patented by Spanish architect Rafael Guastavino in 1892.Upstairs is the guest apartment with full kitchen and windows to an ancient rock outcropping. 4 additional bedroom suites are located on upper and walkout levels. Intentionally unfinished, the bottom level allows customization."

I came to this channel two years ago when this specific video was uploaded and of all the homes you’ve shown on this channel, I find myself coming back to this exact home. $12,000,000 is a great deal for this kind of home.
This has to be my fifth time watching this.😊

“Only” $12 million for this modern castle that looks like a $120 million castle, the mountains are gorgeous, this’s like a dream.
the house is well-worth it!
Ridiculously priced for what you get. Don't know why anyone would want a 2 bedroom apartment instead??? 12 million!!!!!;
@@AsifKhanxx I'd rather have the house because if I was able to afford a place like this I would make the 12 million back anyways so spending 12 million on it wouldn't really matter.
I think you mean a nightmare..lol
The amount of exterior detail on the walls and roof of the mansion resembles the castle from Beauty and the Beast. Enes said while standing outside that it looks like something from a fairy tale.
I usually question how sellers justify the prices of these multimillion dollar mansions, but this is the first one that I've seen that feels like a steal. The size alone is incredible, but this thing is plastered with expensive finishings and surrounded by 35 secluded acres and some of the best views that one could hope for. Its an absolute dream.
yeah wondered the same 12 million feels like not enough lol
I think the location depends on the price of the mansion. And also the house is still under construction.
It’s because of its location, yes it’s an amazing house but 45 minutes from Denver must have a Niche market. The house plotted on a piece of land in LA would cost like 50 Mil
@@ItsAleqo yep. This house is in the middle of nowhere. Location is key
In Colorado you must have at least 35 acres or you can only have a 'Household Use' well. That certainly wouldn't work here.
I've never been a fan of French Country architecture, but this house just won me over! It is the most perfect home/views/property I've ever seen. Noted it sold this year for $9.5M, but if I win the lotto, I'm still putting in an offer on this place! Love Enes and Mike's banter and the professionalism with which they show their properties. Thanks for this one! I've watched it 5 times already. Might be a little obsessed with this property.
Yeah! This is a stunning home. It reminds me of the Biltmore estate in N. Carolina. I've toured that home twice and this one is like the modern holiday version (as in it's smaller).
Where's that big lotto win! 😅😅😅
I've watched this video more than a dozen times! To say that I'm obsessed with this fabulous palace would be a massive understatement!!
I don't play the lottery, I just wish I had been born into a boat load of old family money because this would be mine 'IF' I HAD BEEN BORN INTO OLD FAMILY MONEY!!!
DO YOU KNOW ABOUT 'IF-LAND'? IT'S A VAST & MARVELOUS PLACE WHERE MANY, MANY WONDERFUL THINGS HAPPEN - SADLY, THEY ARE ALL IMAGINARY!!!!
BUT 'IF' - 'IF-LAND' EXISTED - THIS IS WHERE I WOULD BE LIVING & LOVING EVERY SECOND OF THIS FABULOUS PALACE IN THE MOUNTAINS!!!!💜
I WOULD NEVER HAVE ANY REASON TO LEAVE HOME! 'IF' I EVER NEEDED ANYTHING, I SURELY WOULD HAVE NO REASON TO GO ANYWHERE ELSE TO GET IT - IT WOULD ALREADY BE HERE WAITING FOR ME, BECAUSE THIS WOULD BE 'IF-LAND'!!💜
Would love to live there.

In case nobody else mentioned it, steam ovens are for baking bread. The steam allows the bread to rise more while forming a light crispy crust rather than a dense cruchy crust. Amazing house btw.
Thank you! Searched the comments to find this!
I didn't know that! I steam my veggies, so I was thinking more along those lines~
Who cares about the damn house, tell me more about bread.
A steam Oven is for everything that needs steaming, fish, chicken, veggies, pasta, rice as for bread no...I'm a Chef and have never used a steam oven for bread only a convection oven
and skrimps
Just needs an indoor pool, outdoor hot tub and cinema. This house is perfect
This is probably the only large house that I like, and not just like, but love. Truly everything about this house is spectacular, even things I don't normally care for, such as all the marble flooring. The first shot of entering the motor court and seeing the full house was magical. Something like that in California or Florida would be 5x more probably in price and would be awful for me, but tucked away with all the greenery and mountain views, for $12MM, is an absolute dream.
Houses in florida are pretty cheap, but cali is so expensive bc you're also paying for the location and weather
This place is a fraction of the cost of most of the places on this channel, but I think it is by far the most beautiful and cozy. I love this place.
Yup, beats anything in Cali
As a Construction PM. I having a hard time beginning to comprehend the mass and totality of this one project. The contractor is brilliant also, and might well be in business with the owners? IDK doesn't matter. To create something like this would be at the absolute pinnacle of ones career or lifetime. Bravo, you've made a masterpiece.
12 mil seems too low for the property.. I bet there is something up with the construction, location, etc something. I doubt you could come anywhere close to building this house for 12mil now. The amount of limestone veneer is insane and at least 30-40% of it has embellishments. The amount of windows/doors, the finishes, its just crazy.
@@Josh.1234 Most of the cost is generally from the price of land.
If you live in our near a big city it costs WAY more, but out in the middle of nowhere land is dirt cheap.
I know, because my house only cost $100,000 when similiar houses closer to cities have been valued over a million.
People living in cities are suckers lol
@@TheDrexxus True, but I kind of factored that into the price. Commercially built residential house this large, with this much limestone and custom features is just insanely expensive to build anywhere.
I find a lot of mansions aren't really that homely, but this place feels homely and warm and the views are just incredible, amazing property.
You must be British. In America, "homely" is a word used to describe an ugly person. 🙂
@@mexicounexplained Australian actually, but yeah spun out how some words have different meanings.
I’m American and I knew exactly what he meant by homely. You were just being a prick about it. 😂😂😂 Also “homely” may mean ugly person to YOU, but within the context he was speaking he used the correct term in AMERICAN ENGLISH
@@ashleinikole1 Nah, I'm just educated and was pointing out the differences in English from around the world. No need to go off on me. If you are a big "context" person you should be able to tell I didn't mean anything bad about it (I guess you are not). Unlike you, I can appreciate differences and nuances in language. "Homely" means an ugly person in standard American English, not just "to me." In the former British Empire (non North America) it means "cozy" just like he used it. I took an educated guess he was from Britain. These comments were made months ago. Sounds like you wanted some sort of confrontation by making your comment because it all went way over your head. Who is the real "prick" here? 😂😂😂
@@mexicounexplained Was there any need to mention him not being American in the first place if you knew what he meant originally? Probably not. It was a useless comment, that's what they mean about it seeming pricky.
Jaw dropped.. How lucky the new owner will be! The mountain views..Amazing estate…I would just walk around in a daze at the amazing chateau and location. What an incredible property!
I like this home better than some of the 100millin homes. The only thing I would do different is cut the trees back and add a fire suppression system outside. Ideally you could do a full wrap around pool/lazy river that acts as a moat. That would also protect the home from wildfire. Wild fire has been such a huge problem over the last several years.
It's a castle so that would be a mote lol
The fact that apartments quarter of this mansion cost like 40-50M while this is 12M just shows how much the location can impact prices.
too much of a headache...they were crazy to build in Colorado mountains their is a reason people do build in those location... You will find out once you set your trash out and the locals smell the food. czcams.com/video/txCn4TKGNyY/video.html
NYC: Hold my Apartment
it sure does
Welcome to Colorado LOL. We have nothing here. A mansion like this is a gold mine I don't think we're gonna have anything like this ever again.
If this located in LA or somewhere rich ppl live, this will cost probably around ±50M
This one actually feels like worth the money
the house is well-worth it!
@@EnesYilmazer i would like to buy this i am a ceo of dez nuts

Made from 2x4s and sheetrock or actual stone ? 🤔
Totally agree!
I love the cross-canopy bed; it's stunning. All of the architecture and furnishings are a perfect match.
Glad you liked that detail!
A steam oven does everything your current oven does, but helps you to take your cooking to the next level. Your oven at home surrounds food with dry heat. Steam ovens add steam to the process. This extra moisture improves flavour, texture and colour while preserving crispiness - turning every meal into a masterpiece.
The most beautiful views of any home I've ever seen. Can you imagine the snow-covered landscape views? And soaking in a hot bath at sunset while watching the snow falling outside? I'm all in for Rapunzel's Colorado Castle! The final bedroom with the curved floor-to-ceiling windows was my favorite bedroom. Homes like this one, the SF historic home, the Palm Beach Italian Renaissance home are so much more interesting than another modern LA/CA home. I hope you'll bring us more homes with such distinct character as these. Absolutely love your channel! Thank you for the amazing tours!

SOO many questions. Like, can the giant windows overlooking the mountains be covered from the outside or the inside? Are they insulated? Because if they're facing the wrong way, the blizzards and the howling winds will blast you right out of that main living room area in the winter, no matter how tightly they're sealed. The entire house will shake. And if they face south, at that altitude, the sun will bake you like a Triscuit.
Good point
They are fine.
I HATE the dormer windows on the first floor. When people build these pseudo palaces they need to realize the first floor is where the grandest rooms are in most european palaces NOT the ground floor so having huge windows on the ground floor and smaller above will always make these places look like sh**. I'd like to see a grand home done properly with rustications on the ground floor and smaller windows and all the boring utilitarian rooms on the ground floor (kitchen, laundry, the lame theatre if necessary, workout rooms, pool) and the grand sitting rooms and large bedrooms on 1st. People are f***ing daft.
@@justinwilliams7290Respectfully, that would be an awful interior design.
The kitchen is one the most fundamental spaces in the house and not a ‘boring’ room like you say, it can’t be on the ground.
Also the first floor should be the most “public” one (living, dining, kitchen) that’s why it would be a terrible decision to set the owner’s bedrooms in there, the second floor is more “private” and it’s where the rooms for the owners should be (Bedrooms, Personal Bathrooms).
And you can’t compare the needs a palace had to cover for the old European royals and the needs that a house has to cover in modern day society.
I keep coming back to rewatch this video. This is one of the most breathtaking homes I have ever seen and is my favorite video Enes has uploaded. This home is literally something out of my dreams. I love castle like homes.
Enes, steam ovens are for steaming things or cooking things more gently, such as: custards and other soft-set desserts, tamales, lobster or other shellfish, certain bulk spices, and many more. Technically you can do all that with a water bath in a regular oven, but the control of a steam oven would give so much more precision and ease.
oh cool! thanks for letting us know!
Also certain breads, especially sourdough
Rice, potatoes and helping bread prove. Thanks for the videos!
A steam oven is most often used by bakers, especially of bread. Having the steam injected into the oven helps to get a nice crust on rustic loaves like classic french or baguette loaves of bread. However, having a higher humidity in the oven transfers heat more effectively than traditional ovens that cook by hot air alone, so it's useful for any type of cooking in the oven.
Plus, you're in Colorado where it's SUPER dry and nothing bakes properly. So, this would be a god send.
Exactly Robert Betts .
Agree a 200 % ,plus the placement of it - can't be worse. The whole kitchen hodgepodge of expensive appliances which doesn't have much to do with hearty cooking ,that view should inspire.
I just throw a handful of ice cubes in the bottom of my oven lol.
@@stephaniel8164 lol, for that knowledge person must cook and love it, sometimes I just wonder -what possess people who don't cook ,get all those appliances, so many efforts for kitchen that just a display .

Agree. My wife and I have always fancied Mid Century modern but I could see us in a home like this because even though it screams french country chateau.....it's cozy inside and the appointments are not gaudy or garrish but thoughtful and the lighting throughout whether natural or artificial is done really well. That last shot in the motor yard with all the exterior lighting is awsome. Make for a great outdoor party. Also......this home in the winter and adorned properly for Christmas would be exquisite.
After seeing dozens of soulless, futuristic, postmodern houses without the warmth of home, this house felt very good. By the way, Mr. Enes, you are doing an amazing job.
Architecturally illiterate... very poorly designed without referencing any classical proportions. Why use classical motifs if you are going to slaughter the details to such an extent that it looks like caricature? Silly McMansion type elements. I would guess inside the walls is utter slapdash. Not many companies can complete a building of this caliber. This is a home that looks to have a 500 year lifetime! Kudos to the owners for being so patient to see this build come to life!
I bet they put into it at least 30 mln$. but selling cheap for an unknown reason cause they need money badly back. but the main Q is "where is the heck the fountain"? :-D

If I was a billionaire, this would be a perfect summer retreat. Hats off to who ever the architect is. Kinda reminds me of King Ludwig's castle

It doesn’t look like ludwig castle at all lol . And the architect needs to be arrested for creating this architectural monstrosity. Every single detail is out of proportion or just tacky as hell
@@AliKhan-jb6db It really is over the top. Beautiful in places, but over the top. And the owners that had it built (an 11 year project) lived there for only a few months and then placed it on the market. There are a few things that could have been done differently to elevate the design even further, but many of the details are exquisite. It really is too much house unless you have a large family. Were I to have a property like this, I would have a super modern recording studio in that unfinished basement area. People would want to record there and stay in the house.
You two work perfectly together, you complement each other! It's wonderful that you guys work together in a good relationship!! I hope you keep going, I love your videos and some of the houses you show are impressive. I wish I could live in one of them!!!
I would love to host holiday parties here! The architecture and decor are art within themselves, but adding seasonal decorations would be a personal joy of mine. I can just imagine something like a winter mascarade ball, with the snow falling softly outside, masking sound. The sky would be dark, contrasted brightly by the warm lights within the house. Branches of holly and pine draped over the mantle, and glowing ornaments hung from a shimmering tree. All the guests dressed in stunning fabrics and ornate masks, calmly milling about, speaking to each other, or asking each other for a dance to the cozy piano covers of holiday songs.
On another, entirely opposite, note: Halloween parties would also be absolutely amazing! Imagine the hallways dark, illuminated only by dim candles or bubbling cauldrons, mist snaking around the ankles of the guests. Fake spider webs strung high in the vaulted ceilings, and dark brambles and branches pressed to the edges of the room, as if the house were in disrepair. The guests would be cloaked and disguised in costumes of their choice. Because the lay-out of the mansion is so expansive, playing a game such as Murder in the Dark would be extremely fun, allowing for all sorts of shenanigans to take place.
I’m not someone who likes over the top flashy houses but that is spectacular, the views are amazing and the builders should be praised for building that mansion in such a remote location. $12 million, seems like a great deal to me.
Yes, I wished they would had told us the name of the Builder!

This would make an amazing wedding venue.
It would make a great B & B … if HOA said okay.
I thought that was a great idea as well. Events like weddings, family reunions and other conventions, B&Bs...ect could easily pay for maintenance alone.

How much do you think the lights cost per month? That bill is probably astronomical! Your mom and I have a spiritual connection 🤣🤣

I'm from Asheville, NC and have been to the Biltmore House many times. I'm seeing so many design finishes in this home that you would see there; especially the marble floors, green roof top railings, and vaulted arch seiling in the kitchen, a strong reminder of the downstairs kitchen at Biltmore. Downton Abby's Highclere is a true British castle, but Biltmore is America's true castle. This home is an impressive remake. I love it!
You are the only online tour guide I can handle to listen to talk. I actually enjoy how you explain all the details of the house. Thank you for not being annoying.
Lmao we all love him for this. No one else cares enough
I can’t get over the fact that this house is only 12m. It looks so much more expensive!
yes, I thought it was cheap really. It looks more like 120 million😅
If this was located in Santa Barbara California, it would be at least $350 mil or more. The cracker-box sized "mansions" there are well over $11mil. This place seems super cheap as far as a chateau would go for. Far better location than California too, as far as my tastes go.
Not just 12 million, you have to factor in property taxes, utilities, maintenance, the staff to do that maintenance..... You could easily spend hundreds of thousands if not a million a year just keeping the place live-able.
Or do you plan on doing all the upkeep yourself? lol.

This is HANDS DOWN the BEST house I’ve ever seen! It’s difficult to find castles or manors that don’t go crazy with modernity and rough plain details. Here we keep the ancient vibe but we turned seasonal changes as advantageous as possible. Not to mention the well-crafted, solid stone and marble found all over the castle. The roof really surprised me too, from the man-made plastic ‘stone’ to the snow guards, everything is genius! Knowing the owners thought of so much, I can tell why they have so much money. Their intellect surpasses most architects I’ve seen- even compared to « the one » which is 24.5 times more costly and for what?? The view is gorgeous, the details are scarring, the vibe is immaculate. This is a work of art. While there may be some need to find suited decorations to make it feel a bit more comfortable and personal, I could buy this in a heartbeat!

This house is amazing. I definitely would add a theater room, an indoor/outdoor pool, a game room, a bowling alley, and a club room with a skate/dance floor. The steam oven is my favorite appliance in the kitchen. I'm a chef and had the privilege to work in a kitchen with one. It just adds moisture to your food. Someone already explained it perfectly. I would also add a fire pit and outdoor kitchen and a walking/bike trail.
