  • Well. I know i am late on this one but it's better late than never. This event should still be... relatively fresh on people's minds.

With your comment about events having connections to other events in them, I've also seen people noticing that when Amber and Eula walked in on the campsite during the event, one of the first camera shots is Eula looking directly at Albedo. Now I may be wrong but that might be a reference to 2.3, especially with the look he throws back- she's doing what we all do whenever he's on camera- checking it's him- and he knows it. I reckon there was probably also a bunch of other references to past events that we haven't caught yet, too.

Pretty much my thoughts exactly. It's such a shame that they never learn their lesson and they keep doing it over and over with limited time events. I always say something about in event surveys but I doubt anything will ever change
I do have a very pessimistic theory about this: Maybe all of this character development we are seeing in limited time events really aren't ever going to be brought up in permanent content because they are done with the characters. The company has moved on from them and are focusing on the new characters only and then those new characters will also receive the same treatment. Like honestly the events of limited time events have had no impact on what happens in permanent content whatsoever with the exception of Scaramouche. For example in the "Inversion of Genesis archon quest interlude chapter" we go to Inazuma looking for Kazuha but we don't see him and instead talk to an npc that talks about him. I see no reason for them to not have had Kazuha be there other than the fact that they would have to take into account the character development that he received in the limited time events of version 2.6 and 2.8. In the very same quest the exact same thing happens with the Kamisato siblings. But hey at least we got to talk to Xavier in that quest am I right?

Hoyo likes dropping lore and character development into limited events. I think they are trying to stimulate "fear of missing out." But, it means new players will need older players to fill them in on past events. That might also be intended to build community among players. Of course, this could all be major cope. Cope is, after all, a Genshin players ascension stat.

im slowly starting to realize how weird it is that their permanent content, like the story quests spend so much time developing a one-off NPC like Inayah/Moesis/Takuya/Zhiyi/Teppei/Hans Archibald/Kamaji/Chisato most of which we almost never see again. I'd thought if they wanted us to get more attached to the playable characters, the opposite would be the case and playable character development would be made more accessible.
