Alternate Title: Steamed Hams But They Both Keep Reading The Script A big thanks to my patreon supporters: 🍔Dude 🍔Johnny B Goode 🍔asdfsadf 🍔Lee Pilich / jvanedits
She didn't forget. All the delays due to everyone umm-ing and ah-ing, forgetting their lines and checking their scripts (including her) caused her to pass out from extra smoke inhalation.
*GASP* "Oh egads, My script is ruined!" "...But what if, I were to steal Krusty's script and disguise it as my own doing? Oh ho ho, delightfully devilish Seymour."
Chalmers: I just feel like my character would KNOW that it was smoke in the oven, he wouldn't just leave the room without questioning it. Director: Just do it.
All too often we're going through life as if we're reading a script. This is the perfect reminder to live life in the moment. Reconnect with your friends and family. Take time to stop and smell the steamed hams.
I feel like I’m watching a piece of history. The first time this legendary skit was ever performed. To think, they’d go on to spend the next month perfecting it…
This was fantastic. One of the best ideas I've seen. Amazing editing with all the scripts. Loved the part where he showed Skinner the script instead of the hamburger lol
Caught a Pokemon the other day with the ability Parental Bond that knew Overheat, Nasty Plot, Bulk Up and Strange Steam (Learned Yawn and Inferno through levelling). Nicknamed it Seymour.
I feel a lot of the timing here wasn't quite as good as it could be in what specific words they need to check, but that Utica line flub was just Chef's Kiss. He messed up Chalmers' line in response and Chalmers' was clearly confused as to which of them made the mistake XD
Well Jvan, I wish you a Happy World Autism Awareness Day, despite the amount of medication that Skinner and Superintendent Chalmers are gonna need after this ♾️ 🧠 ❤️ 🧡 💛 💚 💙 💜
CAESAR! THE CITY IS ON FIRE!
Nero: Yes!
Yes, and you call them professionals when they are obviously amateurs.
well amateurs love their stuff and at least sometimes are better than "professionals", the term you are looking for is "Layman" :P
Ya- ya know- one thing I should... excuse me for one second. Proceed to leave the room.
Chalmers was so busy studying his script, he forgot his first cue: ring the doorbell
The prop wasn't ready yet
The doorbell ring is expensive so they just skip it in rehearsals.
Agnes had almost three minutes to memorize her lines and she still flubs the first word she’s supposed to say. And then she forgets to yell for help.
Well to be fair, her actress is getting on in years.
She didn't forget. All the delays due to everyone umm-ing and ah-ing, forgetting their lines and checking their scripts (including her) caused her to pass out from extra smoke inhalation.
SEESOR 💀💀
Three minutes to memorize, like, only 2 or 3 lines, might I add 😂
AND her lines had a total of 6 words
"Well Seymour I made it. Despite your stage directions."
"Ah, superintendant Chalmers, welcome. I hope you're prepared for an unforgettable play!"
“Ehhhh”
*walks in and puts champagne in ice bucket*
*GASP*
"Oh egads, My script is ruined!"
"...But what if, I were to steal Krusty's script and disguise it as my own doing? Oh ho ho, delightfully devilish Seymour."
"EH!" *narrows eyes*
"SUPERINTENDENT! I was just .... er, writing my cue cards on the windowsil. Eidetic exercise. Care to join me?"
“Why is the audience snickering and shaking their heads Seymour?”
Little did they know they'd be doing this for the rest of their lives.
The long-term contract they had signed said they'll be making these shorts till the end of time.

Either Agnes forgot her last line or the effects folks used real fire and she passed out from asphyxiation.
Poor Skinner couldn't even get Chalmers' name out the first time. A real bad case of Steamed Fright.
Chalmers: I just feel like my character would KNOW that it was smoke in the oven, he wouldn't just leave the room without questioning it.
Director: Just do it.
CAESAR
*flip flip*
SEYMOUR
SCIZOR!
Excited to see the full version! I see potential in these actors
The firetruck driver was also reading the script too. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
No wonder why he ran over Superintendent Chalmers.
I'm from Utica an I've never heard of a costumed first run through.
Keep up the memed hams 👍
What makes you think it's a costume?!
Alternative title: "Take #24 - 🎶*'The movie director going to need his medication'*🎶 (since everybody forgot their roles [even the cameraman])
“Scizor! The house is on fire!”
Yeah, that’d be ten times more terrifying in that case
seymour's mother flipping through the script is the funniest moment i've ever experienced in a steamed hams parody
It’s actually so funny how well edited it is to be so accurate to an actual first rehearsal to a skit 😂😂
"Why is there... Smoke... Coming out of your... Oven... ... Seymour?
That isn't smoke
@@ryanwebb309 It's obviously smoke, Seymour!
I think the most impressive part of this is how much like a first read-through it actually sounds
This is genuinely an innovative idea for an edit
Good lord! What a firetruck scene.

The hand on the shoulder
The pointing at the script
DO GOOD
I love how Chalmers always gets run over in the end
The idea that Seymour stretching his legs was an improv bit is brilliant!
I fully expected Seymour to flip "Aurora borealis" and "Northern lights" ... This rehearsal went well
Steamed hams is one of those memes that ages like wine
0:40
That's so stupid, I love it. 😂
The little Chalmers & Skinner cameras were a great touch ^^
Well Seymour, you are an odd fellow, but I must say, you read pretty well the script
"22 Short Films about Springfield, 'Steamed Hams scene,' take 1. ACTION!"
2:47 Seymur search the "no" line lmao
It could be assumed there is a long conversation he did not feel like learning
0:52 They completely botched this part. 😂
Chalmers: Why is there, uh, smoke coming out of....of y-your oven Seymour?
Skinner: Uh--hoho that isn't smoke. It's steam! ... ....
Chalmers: ... It's obviously smoke, Seymour.
Skinner: Y-uh...MMM! Steamed clams!
The amount of originality you put in your videos is absolutely insane 👌
They're excellent actors -- for people just reading their lines, they get the intonation and character down like they've done it a thousand times
I like that these two eventually got the parts, they were born to play these roles.
It honestly boggles the mind at how this meme is still going strong with gems like this. Well done!
Very impressive that the whole set and all the props were ready by the first rehearsal
00:20 - This moment itself gave me a chuckle 👏🤣
Steamed Hams but... Hi Super Nintendo Chalmers.
Ralph Wiggum shows up to the wrong rehearsal.
The editing is so good on this
Thank you for making my idea!
This is amazingly well done with your custom animations and eye tracking, as well as being a good concept. Really impressive, I love it.
These steamed hams videos would have been much more popular in the golden era of steamed hams. Always on point bro, good work! 💪
This is the golden era though?
OMG You are a genius.
This is genuinely fantastic, the edits are very well done
I feel like I’m watching a piece of history. The first time this legendary skit was ever performed. To think, they’d go on to spend the next month perfecting it…
Absolutely brilliant. People are still coming up with genius steamed ham memes that make me laugh and appreciate the work put into it
Love that Seymour had to double check for Chalmers name.😂
Oh my goodness this is so creative and WELL EDITED! This is really underrated!!!
this is excellent
Goated
You are single handily keeping the steamed hams meme alive. The effort you put in is unreal
crazy that they set the house on fire and rebuild it for every take
Kind of weird that they don't know the basic lines from such a famous scene.
The mom bit really got me lol
One of the best i've seen so far! Keep up the incredible work 😀
Steamed Hams parody still deliver, this is excellent
So many Steamed bangers this year
The editing is fantastic!
this actually works better than the original
I love how you've edited them reading the scripts
I like how Chalmers is ever so slightly more competent than Seymour, but they are both absolute fuck ups
A lot of houses were burned in the making of this film.
This was fantastic. One of the best ideas I've seen. Amazing editing with all the scripts. Loved the part where he showed Skinner the script instead of the hamburger lol
Ah, a fine Chalmskinn production
Suggestion: Steamed hams but it’s grimace’s birthday
Been waiting for this.>:)
an unforgettable amdram performance
Very nice edit
This was the best one yet.
I'm pleasantly surprised by how well this is edited!
This is super well-made
YES, I was hoping for this one!
Loved when he was in the other room quickly going over his next few lines
Caught a Pokemon the other day with the ability Parental Bond that knew Overheat, Nasty Plot, Bulk Up and Strange Steam (Learned Yawn and Inferno through levelling).
Nicknamed it Seymour.
I remember I was fortunate enough to see them on Broadway, they really have come so far from their first performance.
This is very well done.. much like the roast.
I love the "Chalmers" and "Skinner Cam"
Nice, that's so well made I love it
Skinner and Chalmers cam what a world
How will they recover after this footage has finally been released after 20+ years? 😂😂😂
Pyrotechnics team went way overboard for this rehearsal!
Mother forgot her line at the end
Steamed Hams. But Chalmers goes to Albany
this is AMAZING
I like out Skinner is still botching the whole thing.
I feel a lot of the timing here wasn't quite as good as it could be in what specific words they need to check, but that Utica line flub was just Chef's Kiss. He messed up Chalmers' line in response and Chalmers' was clearly confused as to which of them made the mistake XD
The superintendent showing the manuscript instead of the hamburger to prove that they are grilled is hilarious.
isn’t this why we have table reads?
0:37 I was expecting Chalmers to miss his cue when to walk into the kitchen until I realised he had enough time reading the script :P
Here's an example of why Alf Clausen is one of the greats, he not only scores the show, but also the rehearsals.
Steamed hams but Skinner loses the script.
Well Jvan, I wish you a Happy World Autism Awareness Day, despite the amount of medication that Skinner and Superintendent Chalmers are gonna need after this ♾️ 🧠 ❤️ 🧡 💛 💚 💙 💜
Brilliant
3:11 perfectly cut moment
Impressive that Seymour did all that without accidentally burning his script. 😂
Steamed Hams First Rehearsal, as seen on "Steamed Hams DVD Deluxe Edition"
