Director: "Cut. Cut! Seymour, I know the temptation to ad-lib is hard to resist but we've got 22 short films to do and only a couple days of filming so please, stick to the script. We're gonna break for lunch but please, Seymour, have your lines memorized by 1 p.m."
0:35 Love how Seymour doesn’t check the script on “Delightfully devilish, Seymour!” after looking even more closely than usual at it for his last line. As if he was breaking character to react after learning what the plot of the segment is for the first time.
Like how you remembered that the SEEEYYMOUR is not an actual part of the scene. So many forget that part. And in this context it was recorded at a different time anyways
Like i said on the last one: But they go off script. Another idea would be to have them both read the script and then Skinner leaves his script on the oven when he goes for Krusty Burgers. When he returns, the script is too burnt to read and they both have to share one. An additional idea would be, the cameraman also goes out the window and follows Skinner into Krusty Burger. But the cameraman falls asleep and they don't know what to do. And Wiggum tells them to not touch the camera or they go to jail. And a final idea: The writers were drunk when they wrote the script. All the lines are messed up and they go with it.
For a second, I thought that when he said steam without looking at the script, I thought you were going to claim the entire steamed clams bit was improvized.
Next step, despite the fact it's obvious, both of them will read script. Next step: odd step, but would steam good: mother reads the script too Next step: firetruck brigade reads script
Am i overthinking it or does this video imply that Seymour WASNT supposed to say “No” in the script, given how he flips through two full pages of script, looks considerate for a moment, then answers no? Is there a secret third act that Seymour just hated?
this is so well edited, i really wasn't expecting it. the pupil movement, the cleverly added confusion/altered pronunciation/grabbing of the script, the actual drawn aspect of it. incredible. i love the uncomfortable shoulder touch at the beginning
@senpaipleasedonothack7709 you could literally accomplish that by copy-pasting Steamed Hams shot for shot and just leaving a longer pause between 'Seymour..........the house is on fire!' and 'Help.............help!' Would take two minutes at most to edit.
@0:28 The attention to detail here is so unnecessarily over the top. You can read the script and even see him highlight the correct part. I can only imagine how much effort it took for a "blink and you've missed it" gag. My metaphorical hat is off to you, sir.
This is a sequel to chalmers read the script, because chalmers confused skinner with his lines, skinner had to read the lines a day after rehearsing, so the directors had to delay production so skinner can read his lines
Okay this one is really well done, probably one of my favorites that are coming out recently. I love the subtitly of him reading the script even here 1:23 and the sound of the paper constantly present, his eyes shifting, him touching the paper, all of it is so good
this one is So good. but the one part i liked more in the other was when Chalmers was highlighting lines in the other room 😂 i love in this one when you can hear Skinner going over his lines backstage. but overall it's so fluid and good !
Can't wait for "Steamed Hams but they both keep checking the script but they got their scripts mixed up"
A twist very much welcome
Love that.
Steamed Hams But They Both Showed Up Drunk And Misplaced The Script.
yes yes please make it
Now that’s delightfully devilish of you
I love how skinner checks the script to see what his reaction to the burning oven should be
As if his oven wasn’t on fire
That actually had me dying ngl
same for the steamed hams.
Hey, maybe the script could've said that he burned his roast on purpose. Can't be too sure!
1:51 I like how Skinner points at the script to imply it's the recipe and not the script.
That was improv on his part, some real prop comedy.
I like how he immediately just forgot Chalmers' name.
They’re actors. He’s only heard of the Chalmers character that day on set
I think its funny how skinner clearly has a harder time with the script than chalmers did lol
now make them both continually read the script
This is the obvious progression lol
Yes
Next Seymour’s mom needs to read the scriot
@@DigitizedGalaxyAlt "SEYMOUR!!"

Now you're going to have to do one where they are both looking at the script
He knows
And then one where neither do, bringing us full circle back to normal Steamed Hams
The eyes scanning the page shows a delightfully devilish attention to detail.
The way the orchestra waits for Skinner to react to the burning oven xD
Egads! My lines are ruined! But what if I took the script, and disguised it as my own thoughts? Ho ho ho. Delightfully devilish Seymour.
He did it.
Now skinner looks like the dimwitted one.
That firetruck scene really tied the meme together. Truly unforgettable. Top tier editing on the eye movements too.
Skinner's gesture at 1:40 killed me 😂
Him practicing the yawn killed me
It would have been perfect if he'd said "Delightfully devilish ... (checks script) ... Seymour" as if he'd forgotten his own name.
I appreciate that Skinner skims over the rest of the script to check if Chalmers gets to see inside his kitchen rather than just reading his next line
Skinner putting a hand on Chalmer's shoulder is a nice touch.
now make one where they *both* read the script and eventually go "fuck it, neither of us are prepared for this"
both should read the script. "Steamed hams but it's the first practice rehearsal"
What if they BOTH read the script? Same for Seymour's mom
"SEYMOUR! eh.. _flips page_ THE HOUSE.. uh, _flips page_ IS ON FIRE!"
@@JvanEdits Uh, **flips page** no mother, **looks at page** it's just the Northern Lights.
A rare behind the scenes video of the recording of the steamed hams scene, April 14, 1996, great work as alyays Jvan!
i thought Skinner would come back from the krusty burger to catch the script he forgot behind because he forgot what was he supposed to buy
0:17 … 😐🤨🧾😨
Next they'll both forget the script, then they will get them mixed up.
Surprised the script didn't get set on fire when he walked into the burning kitchen with it
2:09 skinner’s rambling behind the door was funny
Now do it, but Chalmers helps skinner with his lines, and vice versa.
Skinner getting the upstate New York like wrong & just speaking over Chalmers is beautiful work.
Reminds me of the old animated Disney movie bloopers
I'd love to see an edit where they're both late to the recording and didn't bother rehearsing the script.
"Why is there script coming out of your hand, Seymour?"
Seymour’s hand movements are something extraordinary in this one
Steamed hams but everyone has forgotten their lines and has to do improv
That was pretty good, I liked the variations of script checking. It made it seem more realistic
0:35 Love how Seymour doesn’t check the script on “Delightfully devilish, Seymour!” after looking even more closely than usual at it for his last line. As if he was breaking character to react after learning what the plot of the segment is for the first time.
1:31 "Utica"
"Really, well I'm from Utica and..."
"Oh not in Utica"
"No mother it's just the northern lights" is an improv'd line!
Like how you remembered that the SEEEYYMOUR is not an actual part of the scene. So many forget that part. And in this context it was recorded at a different time anyways
Nice detail him not worrying about leaving the script as he runs to Krusty Burger, since that scene isn't filmed in canon.
After the time loop has happened so many times with many different alterations, it's no wonder Skinner forgot the original script.
“Steamed hams but it’s a theatre play rehearsal “
There's a million steamed ham parodies and every one of them are funny as hell.
First Superintendent Chalmers, now Seymour Skinner, and on Saint Patrick’s Day too, oh well
Happy St. Patrick's Day 2024 to you, Jvan! 💚 🍀 🟢 🇮🇪
I love how people are still making memes about steamed hams after all these years. Now we need a version, where they both are reading their scripts.
Clean sentence mixing and very seamless animation, you are an odd fellow, but I must say, you Steamed a good Ham.
Love how the script actually contains the lines, nice touch!
Hey, give Skinner a break
He's a war veteran, he's getting used to this!
Like i said on the last one: But they go off script.

Steamed Hams but Seymour's memory is still better than mine
1:40 I love that gesture xD

I find it funny that Skinner still got the script wrong at 1:37 even after checking and correcting himself because he didn't say New York 😂
YO WTF THE ENDING LMAOOOOO
great video again
Id like to think that Seymour went into the kitchen on fire not to check on the oven, but instead to read his next few lines
he should only read the script for him telling the truth
I cant wait to see "Steamed Hams but its the Bloopers"
The swallowing gulp really got me! 😂
I've seen this meme so often that Skinner not knowing his lines was deepl confusing and infuriating me.
Should really have been "Oh no, I said **checks script** steamed hams!"
this is so well edited, i really wasn't expecting it. the pupil movement, the cleverly added confusion/altered pronunciation/grabbing of the script, the actual drawn aspect of it. incredible. i love the uncomfortable shoulder touch at the beginning
I like how he actually does for real call hamburgers steamed hams
I like how in character skinner's actions with the script are
"steamed hams but skinner AND chalmers keep reading the script"
steamed hams but its just the script
The mere presence of the obviously inserted later script in the scenes makes this so much funnier.
In my theater the troupe is staging a new play. And these peeks into the script are a real-life situation.
Now they both should read the script.
I see that you're flipping the script, so to speak. Yesterday you had Chalmers reading the script, and now you have Seymour reading the script.
What’s next? Mother reading the script?
@@senpaipleasedonothack7709Both Seymour and Chalmers are reading the script while the mic was close to Mother.

Was waiting for a part where seymore finishes chalmers lines or silently mouthes his part
I want one of these where Skinners mom keeps reading the script just to see how it'd be done
Thank you for leaking the rehearsals
I love how skinner flips two whole pages when chalmers asks if hecan see it, implying that there was supposed to be more lmao
Very good! I thought Superintendent Chalmers will scream "SEYMOUR!!!" at the beginning for reading the script.
Good, good... now combine them.
Nice of the oven to hold off on burning the roast until skinner figures out what his lines are
I was expecting the script was going to be burning at the end.
Thought of that idea many times throughout the editing!
Now make his mom read the script.
I kept waiting for Skinner to forget his own name.😂
“Steamed Hams but the burgers are way underdone and they both get E.ColI”.
@0:28 The attention to detail here is so unnecessarily over the top. You can read the script and even see him highlight the correct part. I can only imagine how much effort it took for a "blink and you've missed it" gag. My metaphorical hat is off to you, sir.
Next one: the cameraman keeps reading the script (and the camera angles are all off in timing/location)
You caught me lacking with that steamed hams Axel in Harlem at the credits💀
“Steamed hams but skinner forgot to memorize his lines over winter break.”
Steamed Hams but Skinner keeps reading the script and losts it on the way to Krusty Burger
This is a sequel to chalmers read the script, because chalmers confused skinner with his lines, skinner had to read the lines a day after rehearsing, so the directors had to delay production so skinner can read his lines

And again… comedic gold. Keep up the good work, Steamed Hams community! And thank _you,_ Jvan!
_And, holy crap, that ending credit scene…_
After 6 years (or however long this saga has been going on), Seymour still hasn't memorized the script.
the editing is masterful
Nobody Steams a Ham video like Jvan. 10/10 Edit
I think we all know what comes next.
This is real life and Skinner has the power to see into the future, but neither of them know what's going on.
You madman. You've done it again.
Now we need them both reading their lines
this one is So good.
but the one part i liked more in the other was when Chalmers was highlighting lines in the other room 😂

but overall it's so fluid and good !
You should make it that they pronounce some words wrong the first time and then they check the script and pronounce it properly
I don't know why, but at this point make the fire read the script
