âBack in the Old Corps, we just used newspapers and duct tape!â Actually serious. Granted, we were being trained on how to fight a dog, not training the dog to fight.
Most of the time super aggressive dogs are the most scared because they feel like they have to be in charge. You show them that you're not there to hurt them and that you're in charge and they'll be the most loyal companion
Rescued a basset hound with birdshot up her behind. Cancer took her back in 2019. She was as good to us as we were to her and had the best 5 years together. RIP, Emma.
Worked on a farm and there was a bull nobody else could even get near without him attacking. From my first day there him and I were buddies. At first other people were angry thinking I was just a naive city boy, but very quickly they realized there was just an understanding between us. Some of the other animals had their moments and hurt people, but even in those moments they were extremely careful with me. Many of the animals even protected me from other animals/people. It was the best job I ever had but it didn't last long enough.
My last dog Butch was a K9 Marine Black German Shepard. He belonged to my cousin, who was his partner. Together, they became a cop team. But my cousin died and no one wanted him due to his aggressive temper. And since he was a marine they didn't want to put him down because of his background record. So just to see if my family contained them.I took him in. Plus he's family.I can't send him to the pound to people to sleep no way. About two years later I got pregnant with my first daughter. Which seemed to be extra protective and aggressive towards any male even to my fiance, but he tolerated him since he is my children's father. Now my 2nd daughter came into the picture, Butch got to be more loving and caring to my girls. Now he is with my friend in Dallas. They come to visit now and then. The girls love Butch and he adores them.
Even their leash handling is wrong. You NEVER loop a leash, the dog hand should hold the leash in a bight. Almost all k9 dogs are trained on the left in order to keep the gun hand free. The technical advisor for this scene was sleeping in the trailer.
This clip might just be a mirror image. A lot of these clip farm accounts mirror-image their clips to avoid copywrite infringement stuff. I'm not sure though, I've never seen this movie myself. EDIT: I just checked the letters on everyone's uniforms and this is in fact a mirror image.
Using an assertive tone with your dog rather than being aggressive and mean if they are not following your instructions gives them a clear sign that they should listen to you and youâre being serious
My mother used to work as a dog trainer specialising as a behaviouralist. She had a german shepherd, Chloe, who would go with her to training sessions and they would do lots of shows as well, she was an extremely intelligent dog. My mum told me about this one time she was doing a small show and helped this woman who had been bitten by german shepherd get over her fears, and how chloe was so patient and gentle to the woman. There was also a time chloe saved my life when i was a baby from a home invasion. No one noticed he was there, he only got a couple steps into the yard before she flew out the door and grabbed his arm. My mum said when i was first brought home after i was born, she trusted her dog enough to put me on the floor so Chloe could see me, something she never recommends others to do when introducing a newborn to a dog, and first thing she did was lay down curl herself around me. By the time i was born chloe had already lived past her life expectancy, im glad i got a couple years with her â€
My grandma told me that there's a dog for every person, whether they like it or not. Hers was a German Shepherd named Dante, and mine happened to be a German Shepherd too. I named her Seena. She's not too extraordinary. She doesn't sniff out bombs or bite human scum in the ass. But she's a good girl that loves me the same way I do her, and that's enough for me.
My mom had a German Shepherd named Rex before my sister and I were born. He was at the pound and they were gonna put him down, so she took him home and he got so attached to her. He wouldn't listen to anyone but her, he would do everything she said like she'd trained him from a pup. He only got aggressive with people wearing work boots, holding newspapers, or riding bikes. He once chased my uncle down the street bc he was on a bike and wearing boots (he'd just come over after work), he managed to avoid being bitten bc he jumped into the box of a nearby truck. Other than that one time, he rarely had any outbursts and was super sweet and loved my mom more than anything. People were only allowed on the property when my mom said so, family, friends, strangers, didn't matter. Her word was law to him. This massive dog would stand on his hind legs and tower over her with his paws resting on her shoulders (my mom is 5'4") and loved to lay on the couch in her way so she would lay on top of him and he would just vibe with it. Everyone else was nervous around him.
Just imagine he was trained so well that he becomes docile and incapable of hurting even a fly. He is then used to calm down other dogs like him while they are trained to the job he doesn't want. Perfect ending.
Dogs aren't that hard to read generally they'll display their emotions in visible body language. You can generally show even the meanest dog kindness and it'll at the very least tolerate you generally become protective of you.
I had an Akita for 10 years, 90 pounds of fun and joy. My kids were young when we got tiger they used to ride on his back from time to time. That dog wouldn't hurt a fly until he would. He used to try to lick the meter man all the time. Had a german shepherd come into our yard after my boys tiger took after that dog and ran it out. He never barked except if there was something close to the fence. So if we were sleeping and he was barking we knew there was something close. He found a ferret in the yard once he barked at it but never touched it. Great dog best friend.
Heâs a fellow marine and needs to trust his brothers and sisters. Thereâs misbehaving and then thereâs acting out cause youâve never trusted a handler. He trusts her

When I was in 5th grade my family got a German Shepard, she was supposed to be a police k9 but her trainer was moving (and unable to keep her) and the training facility didnât want her back. My family ended up getting her just after her 1st birthday. She protected the house from intruders, taught our other pups and was a good doggo. We sadly had to put her down in November 2023, she wouldâve been 10 that thanksgiving. (Her birthday is right by thanksgiving)â€đ German Shepard are amazing.
I saw this on Netflix itâs a good movie so basically what sums it up is she just join the military and went threw boot camp in high school and one day she was walking over to help out with the dogs this is the scene and this dog Rex she turned him into a good dog just by yelling at him in confidence so he would stop being a bad dog and after retiring she adopted him and became a spoiled old dog and cater that I believe she became a vet or a dog trainer
As someone who lived on a farm where we also raised police dogs this is how you train a dog for a dangerous job. This isn't your house dog that you can act all cuddly with. It's a tool first, and a pet second. I'd absolutely love to hang out and let him lay in my lap snacking on ham slices watching TV but that isn't something a true working dog does.
My dad had his friend who is k9 handler and their dog stay at our place while he renovated his house. That k9 was by far the most charming dog I've ever met. It had its own blankie, huge dog laying by the sofa chewing their blanket. I did cuddle with it a lot and treat it as a normal dog. It understood what was home and what was work. It was like any other dog when home.
In order for someone to get paid for using someone else's clip, they have to add enough to it so gets past the censors. Adding music is the easiest but it has to be loud enough to create a distinct sound profile that doesn't match the OG clip.
In the film, thereâs a scene at Rexâs sleeping space where Megan told Rex to go to the corner unless he didnât want Megan to give him his dog food for the day. Rex wouldnât budge for hours, but eventually he moved, Meganâs patience against Rexâs stubbornness paying off.
Heâs not aggressive, heâs reactive!!! My rescue dog is the same way. Heâs come so far since Iâve had him and I love him so much and you literally just need to take time to understand them and show them they donât have to be scared
I hate when people act like animals don't have feelings. Fear or sadness sometimes shows up as aggressiveness. When I was younger I was always angry but that anger was really me being sad and scared but it would present as anger because I was trying to defend myself. Your aggressiveness and anger is the part of you that is trying to protect yourself. He's aggressive because he's trying to protect himself.
I worked at a vet clinic at one point in college, and there was a police German Shepherd named Ruckus. He always had to wear a muzzle because when he was on any kind of lead, he perceived himself to be on the job and he tended to bite. He bit vets, techs, and kennel attendants there, except for me and one other girl. Iâm not sure about the other girl. I just know that whenever I approached him, I didnât show any fear. I let him smell me and get used to me and entered his kennel while talking and praising him. He was very sweet to me.
I had a dog when I was a kid, her name was Roxy. She was an Australian shepherd and was pretty old, but crawled under my uncles truck and he didnât notice her⊠itâs been about 5-6 years since then, and I still think about her.
Most important thing to show a dog is patience, kindness and dominance. Patience so the dog can open up and trust you. Kindness so a dog can show kindness back. And dominance so they know you are strong and will guide them.
Itâs insane how people think aggression and domination is the correct way to go about training and working with a dog. Theyâre smart as hell and if you work with them as an equal, respect them and take care of them, theyâre much more likely to respect you back. Respect and building a bond is the absolute best way to work with an animal. Not all negative or all positive. Some of the scariest dogs are actually just scared or have had really bad experiences with people or specific sexes. Always respect your dog and never use aggression or dominating behaviours when working with your dog. It only destroys trust and ruins your relationship!
This is literally my dog. He âaggressive, no one could handle him,â and they said they were gonna put him down because of his âbehavioral issues.â I told the guy gimme five minutes with him and Iâll have him perfectly trained. They laughed and me and said yeah sure. Five minutes later we walked out, my boy off lease and at my side. The guyâs jaw is probably still on the floor đ
I recently watched this movie, and itâs a really good one. Shows the harsh life in the military loving someone you love, and so forth. And itâs based off a true story too

I've watched the movie, the dog is not mean,he is just scared, everyone expect him to be the best at all time without knowing that he is just like a puppy inside.

As a canine agitator, this is bunk. No agitator would go on the field without a leather jumpsuit as well as a sleeve or even the UC jacket.
She was originally wearing the pants but some guy told her she could take them off right before this happened.
omg thereâs a name for this? âcanine agitatorâ lol? i hope you have really good health and life insuranceâŠ.
It's a movie nothing is real.
Idk if you're trying to say "without a full bite suit" but no, there are plenty of times I and other handlers I have seen have decoyed without a suit and just a bite sleeve.
âBack in the Old Corps, we just used newspapers and duct tape!â Actually serious. Granted, we were being trained on how to fight a dog, not training the dog to fight.
âQuit whining and act like a god damn marine!â đź boy was hurt đ
That is such a Marine thing to say!
RIP, Emma.
Thereâs no such thing as a bad marine dog. Only bad marines
amen
Worked on a farm and there was a bull nobody else could even get near without him attacking. From my first day there him and I were buddies. At first other people were angry thinking I was just a naive city boy, but very quickly they realized there was just an understanding between us. Some of the other animals had their moments and hurt people, but even in those moments they were extremely careful with me. Many of the animals even protected me from other animals/people. It was the best job I ever had but it didn't last long enough.
So Roscoe was a Marine before becoming a police officer in Margrave, that explains why she wasnât intimidated by Reacher
those are two different people this is Kate Mara
Dogs know who respects them and who doesnât. If he bite that manâs hand, it was because he didnât trust him.
Megan Leavey is so underrated. Definitely the female equivalent to Channing Tatumâs Dog for the bond the lead characters build with the dogs
Even their leash handling is wrong. You NEVER loop a leash, the dog hand should hold the leash in a bight. Almost all k9 dogs are trained on the left in order to keep the gun hand free. The technical advisor for this scene was sleeping in the trailer.
I don't think they had anyone familiar with dogs on this show
Maybe the dude is just left-handed
This clip might just be a mirror image. A lot of these clip farm accounts mirror-image their clips to avoid copywrite infringement stuff. I'm not sure though, I've never seen this movie myself.
EDIT: I just checked the letters on everyone's uniforms and this is in fact a mirror image.
Just watched it last night and pretty sure it's mirrored video to avoid copyright and not get taken down. Plenty of training scenes in the movie.
I had a dog named rex and he was one of the sweetest dog i had had, he died a few years ago and i still miss him Rip Rex.
Was that Malfoy there towards the end? đ
Malfoy joined the muggle Marines!

Yes
Am I the only one who noticed draco malfoyyy
But she's a good girl that loves me the same way I do her, and that's enough for me.
that was the most poetic shit ive read all week
I thought he was gonna say "HES A MARINE"
Wait is that Draco Malfoy?!?
You don't pick an animal..... an animal will pick you, they know who they want
Their are no bad dogs only bad owners
Even animals deserve respect and when you give themrespect they listen
Just imagine he was trained so well that he becomes docile and incapable of hurting even a fly. He is then used to calm down other dogs like him while they are trained to the job he doesn't want. Perfect ending.
The dog knew his commanding officer has changed.
He trusts her
I donât think anyone else noticed that the actor for Draco malfoy AND the actor for professor Mogonegle was their to

The ruff life is real!

What is the name?
As someone who lived on a farm where we also raised police dogs this is how you train a dog for a dangerous job. This isn't your house dog that you can act all cuddly with. It's a tool first, and a pet second.
I'd absolutely love to hang out and let him lay in my lap snacking on ham slices watching TV but that isn't something a true working dog does.
There is no excuse to be scared.

Stop this music, for every thing, always.
In order for someone to get paid for using someone else's clip, they have to add enough to it so gets past the censors. Adding music is the easiest but it has to be loud enough to create a distinct sound profile that doesn't match the OG clip.
@@patricksanders858Then perhaps they shouldnât be playing these clips to begin with.
Itâs annoying.

This movie is fake
Well yes it is a movie after all
ALL movies are. Even when it says, "Based on true events."
I LOVE THIS MOVIE. ITS ACTUALLY SO GOOD AND BASED OFF A TRUE STORY
She showed authority and respect. The previous handler didnt care.
I had a Shepard named Rex. Loved that dog
My GSD is also "Rex". truly a king

Some people have a way with animals.
Common in this scene is hilarious đ all that unnecessary shaking
Draco Malfoy even made an appearance
