Putting my dog down after 14 years was the hardest thing I have ever done to this day...
I still shed tears missing her and its been over 7 yrs...
That morning she got to eat a whole rack of ribs til she couldn't eat any more...
I remember the car ride to my vet where I also worked, with her head on my lap knowing this was it...
The last time I will ever physically feel her heart beat, lay with her, feel her warm gentle head on my lap look into her beautiful brown eyes that had such pure unconditional love for me...
There are truly no words for that moment in my life...
My boss asked me are you ready she was the one who injected her?😢
I held her staring into her eyes and told her it was gonna be alright that she would no longer be in pain and that I loved her with everything I had everything I knew....
There she was just looking into my soul slowly closing her eyes...
I could feel the physical life leaving her body...
I wanted to take it all back...
I wanted to SCREAM!
I wanted for her to not die...
I just wanted her alive...
But I knew she was in pain and I had to be calm for her...
Her eyes n body got heavier n heavier...
Her breathing slower n slower....
As her eyes closed completely, I kissed her and told her I would never forget her...
I'll never forget the car ride home with her lifeless body in my arms...
I sobbed the whole way, I knew she was now free from her physical pain...
Yet my heart was forever broken a piece that is irreplaceable....
She was my best friend...
She was my kid...
She stole my pillow at night...
She was my everything...
She kept me alive when I wanted to die so many times...
She licked me when I cried...
She was amazing...
And now she is gone...
And I couldn't take it back...
I can't take it back...
Honestly I don't know if I will ever get over her...
I mean I will forever miss her n love her...
I have moved on from so many things since then...
I even look at death so different now, but when it comes to her I'm still heartbroken...
I don't know how to let the pain go....
I don't know how to let her go...
I buried her in the hills we used to hike so she could become one again with all....
I miss her immensely!

I lost my dog recently. Teddy died after being together with us for 10 years. I am 23 today so I grew up with him together. We share a lot of memories. It feels like a part of my life has died. I ll always miss you buddy. And when the time will come , I hope to see you on the other side.

Went on poodle-rescue site in May, and 'lo and behold!, staring at me was the cutest little face I'd ever seen. Didn't want a mini dachshund, certainly not a boy; I wanted a poodle. Well, Astro (now Benny), was calling my name. Now, a year later, 7-pound Benny, who is eight, is an integral part of my life. He's a retired 'stud'. I treat him like the prince he is.
I am a 68 year old man and I am crying. Please, please rescue a dog or cat. You will become the lucky one.

I went for a long bike ride with my friend in the valley and we found a puppy alone in the middle of nowhere... We didn't know what to do and it was full of fleas so we just left it 😢 I feel really bad about it and wonder if it's still alive

Most likely not. Take it with you or call some kind of animsl rescue next time. If it was a grown dog it might still be alive. But a small puppy is most likely dead. Was there clean water near that area? Shade? Maybe a forest were mice could live? Or fields with rabbits? Was the puppy older than 12 weeks?

@@Lea-dq2uy it looked no older than a month and the valley I live in is just a huge area with peach fields corn fields cotton fields and stuff but there are also a lot of mini forests.. I found him inside of a thrown car tyre.. Yes there are a lot of rabbits and mice but there are also a lot of foxes (I saw 5 that day) and it didn't look like it could hunt so I guess it's dead ☹️

THAT beginning, with this purebred Yellow Lab, was NOT believable that someone would place him in a bag in a river. ALL the rest of the video does hold true. BTW, we have a 1-yr old Yellow Lab, so the ending struck a chord in me.
Had dogs all my life, can't imagine my house without fur flying around, this video had me crying, its never easy to say good by to my best friends. Only people who understand the deep love that a dog brings us is a dog owner. There is nothing like being loved and loving a dog better in this life.

My dog, zorro, just died today :( he just died in a natural way because he's too old and weak. I have to watch this video so that I'll know how much he loved me. I will miss you, zorro. 2007 to 2020.

It made the eyes wet. I have 4 dogs and missing them a lot when far away. Dogs are more loyal, caring and loving than human. Only a dog lover can understand this video story.

Another vet soldier say, i totally agree. My dog are my best friends ever and the have made me pull my self together after every homecoming, out in the missions far away from home they gave me a happy spot in my mind. Love them so hard and fear the day they will go.

I never needed my Jack Elvis to speak for his eyes said everything to me. The hardest thing of my life was putting him to rest after almost 19 years. I wasn't there for his first moments but his last were filled with love and comfort. After his last breath, I cried for days. The unconditional love of a dog should be treasured.

It reminded me of the story I had with my NEGRITA, she was a Lhasa Apso , my first baby at 6 months old, she was rescued by my sister and gave her to me when I was 6 month pregnant, she loved her baby sister, and almost a year later came her little brother Negrita would never leave their side protected them for 14 years.... how We miss her 😢

Still crying from that video , three years later I still feel like a piece of my heart is gone when my best friend, our 12 year old lab we had to let go of due to heart failure. I wear a neck a lace with some of his ashes in it. He was an amazing friend.

Aww man. 😞 I just lost two dog soul mates a month apart from each other. 15 years I had them, from crazy pups to heart failure and kidney failure. Every single memory or picture I have of my kids have these two pups are in them. My heart feels so empty right now without them. I didn’t know it was possible to be so thankful to have these amazing animals in my life and also be in unbearable grief. Thank you god for showing me such an amazing love. I was spoiled and now you humbled me in a time of need, yet I am still so grateful.

@Maya Halter not really. She was cheating on me and not even hiding it and to boot she emptied out my savings and chequing accounts. Did not contest the divorce and gave her whatever she wanted. In the ling run saved over $100k in lawywr fees
@Maya Halter yes it is. They give unconditional love and trust. All they want in return is to be fed, taken out for walks and to be loved in return. Oh yes and from time to time to go visit grandma because there is so much food there
@Maya Halter never had pure breed dogs. Only mutts. However all dogs no matter what breed are beautiful but I do have a slight fear of pitbulls because of their reputation.
If I had the power to give this film an Oscar, it would have it. Beautifully and emotionally done. We, as pet owners, all feel this. They give us all the love there is. We are "their" world.💙

OMG - I am sobbing after watching this. My baby girl is nearly 17 and is nearing her end - blind, doesn’t hear much and has dementia so she doesn’t know me. Dreading what is to come - just hope it is peaceful. Make sure you give your fur babies big hugs while you can. 😢😭😢😭😢😭
Footnote - Today is Friday 21 Feb 2020 and my baby has left me alone. Rest well my love. Cross the Rainbow Bridge and give Dad (your original owner) a big hi from me. My heart is breaking as this is not how I expected the day to go when I took you to get your annual checkup and found out you had had a stroke. I never thought I would not be bringing you home. Yulia Orme I had to put my dog down 2 years ago when it hits 20.07.19 it killed me to she her so lifeless laying there I hugged her all the way through... when the vet said are you ready... I said my last goodbyes and she whimpered as if she knew and was telling me it was going to be okay 😭 I can’t take it I’m crying now her name was pixie she’s my profile pic I loved her.... I said softly tears in my eyes.... “yes” that’s when she was gone for good... but I knew she was no longer suffering, no longer in pain I never let go of her during the process I have her ashes still that’s when the vet told me I had to go so they could get her ashes made...I let go of her paw and walked away crying uncontrollably while my mum was rubbing my back... I never felt so alone! I would really do anything just to see her again.... I know our paths will cross again but it’s hard without her I cry myself to sleep every night, cry into my pillow. I really don’t know what I am going to do without her... I just feel so depressed now she is gone I know I made the right decision... it killed me more seeing her wimpier and cry lifeless... begging for her own life she was 13 years... she’s the first I want to see when I go 😭😭😭💔💔

i had a pet dog which died 3 yrs ago....i can remember how much i cried on that day,and how much i missesld my bestie in those days...i remember my father told me he will not buy any other pet dog for me in the future after seeing my reaction on his death. While watching this video today i wept bitterly recalling each and every moment that i shared with him...his eyes, his bark,his tail moving are taking live forms in front of my eyes...i even had kept his favourite ball safe till now and his collar. We used to take long walks in the evening,he used to go with me to the park where we played a lot. I even remeber his first gift to me....his pedigree which i refused though😊😊 i only wanna say i love u Tom and u will always deserve a special place in my heart 4ever...Thnx to the creators of this short film who made me feel how deep impression and corner he has gained in my heart...waiting for more such videos....luv frm india💖💖

I lost my first dog 1 year and 6 months ago. However, instead of refusing to get another one, my dad asked me what I wanted. I decided that, because one of the reasons we adopted was to give a dog a chance at happiness, I wanted to get another one.
Why did God make a dogs life so short compared to let say a turtle? I think that it’s because he wants us to appreciate what a special gift they are in our lives. Unconditional Love!! Always Happy to see you! I have a female Golden Retriever and I cried watching this video knowing at some point this day will come. Love on your dog every day and never take them for granted.

After watching this video, I realize something:
I have never, not in my many many years of CZcams, have I cried in a video. No puppy rescue story or animal success story, nothing. I realize now that I am not made of the stone I thought I was. My cousin's dog recently died, and I was very close with him. He was almost 15 years old, and such a sweet brown labrador. The next time I go to their house or even see my cousins, I'm rather sure I will break down in tears.

Lost one of my dogs in March he was 22 years old , never was sick a day in his life and the oldest dog I’ve ever owned, held him the day he was born and held him the moment of his last breath

that's old. That's like 154 in dog years. If my dog lived the same age it would have lived to see me as a 1st grader to a college graduate. Probably would have many great grandpuppies at this point.

I lost my dog Hudson( my best friend) in may of 2020. It was the worst thing that I have ever went through. I miss him so much. I wish I could hug him one more time. I cried as hard as i did when i just lost her and even now watching this video again and reading the comments again i am sitting in class crying again.. It is a pain that never goes away till memory fades. I loves her so much and I know she loves me and she wants to thank me for everything i did but she was taken away to soon she was just 4 and she got really sick. Her medicin didn’t work and i still blame myself like what if i didn’t do this or what if we didn’t take her with us on vacation? would she had survived? She was in so much pain and she is free from it now.. But it still hurts. I still remember me feeding and letting her drink from my hands cause she was just to sick i loves her so much. I just have to agree. It hurt like you loved a person. He who does not have a dog does not understand it, but the dog is like a family member, like a human, sometimes I think he understands me better than anyone else. Now I take him as a family member and can't imagine losing him. People are trying to forget, but they just can't. I experienced it myself when my first dog, Aki, died, although it has been five years behind me, it still hurts. It is hard to admit it, and I wish strength and faith,. condolences.😔

They always seem to listen and they will always try to make you happy again when ur sad... They will stay loyal to you no matter what you do to them they come running to you when you come home and you can just tell they missed u :’( Oh and the worst part.. Having to leave the house and them looking out of the window at u like awhh do u need to leave already take me with u.. An

This was nice. Made me cry. Just had my girl put to sleep a few weeks ago and it's still so hard learning my new routine without her. She lived a long, full, happy life but it would never have been enough time with her. Miss her everyday.

Yes, you all can be assured there are many dogs in heaven, but as an added bonus, if you make it to heaven your dog will be there waiting for you and will remember all the times you had together! The difference is in heavne , they WILL be able to talk to you.
When you get to heaven sure to turn left at the pearly gates....they will be waiting there.
I don't focus on any religion because the only thing that is 100% for sure is that I am here right now. But I wanted to point out that in the bible it says that when you get to heaven that gods glory is supposed to outshine everything and your loved ones wont know who you are

Me too! I have a senior dog, 15 and a 6mo pup. They need each other. She is his ears because he doesn’t hear well and he shows her manners and she keeps him feeling young. When his time comes we will both be sad. He’s had a very good life! He was rescued from the shelter. He helped our autistic son so much through the difficulties in life. Our son is in heaven and I know they will be together someday. Thank God for our loved pets!

My little dog came tapping at my backdoor as a tiny puppy. We live in a rural area and no one had seen her before. I always called her "God's Little Gift." Of course my wife would roll her eyes but she isn't a dog person. My pup and I were like peas and carrots. I only had her for seven years but she saw me through two heart surgeries and kept me company during the pandemic. On 09-23-2021, with me healthy and her work done, she went Home. The pain I feel for her loss is simply the cost of the love I had for her. I would pay that cost many times over if I could.

I just lost my Golden Retriever 4 days ago. Had her for 14 1/2 years. I have been grieving harder over her than any person I’ve lost in my life. She was the most precious soul I’ve ever known and the greatest of friends. I’ve had three Goldens in my life to include her. They are the very best of dogs and I will have Goldens forever.

I cried so bad because I related on this video because my dog named Bane died 4 months ago bc he's sick he's only 3 years old and I love him so much. He protected me. Also my another dog named Huskie she's also sick. She died 1 year ago. She's 7 years old. She's been with us for 7 years. I love her very much. She protect us from any harm. I cried so bad that she's dead. I really lve them so much. And now we only have 1 dog that looks like the dog on the film and I don't want him to be dead to. He's the only 1 I hug when I needed one. I talk to my three dogs when I'm sad and they just listen. They're family. I super lve them.

I lost my 15 year old chow german Shepherd Rebel to stomach this year in September due to stomach cancer there was tumor that was bleeding internally inside his stomach from when he had a tumor on his neck last year in April. He was my bestest friend he has helped me with so many things that I went though as child. He was always there to put a smile on my face and losing him was one of the toughest things I have gone through it felt lile a nightmare, numbness, loneliness and many other emotions that I can't explain. Its been a month soon to be 2 months on November 25th and its still hard for me. I have two more dogs and they have been huge help for me. This video was helpful to see what its like in Max's point of view. Again the video was beautiful!
