    Excellent video! all fix videos should be set up just the way you did. No fluff, clearly showing what you're doing, and nicely marked.

    Had a kid message me on a lawnmower he got to play around with and fix. He asked where a spring went, likely for the governor, and I couldn't find a good clear pic. Your video gave him a perfect show of how to mess with the carb and where that spring went he sent me a photo on. Most people move camera's around so much, you can't see details. Good job!

    It's nice us viewers don't have to fast forward on this one - so boring watching somebody loosen or tighten a bolt in real time. Excellent production Thanks!

    thanks Jim. I bought a mower for $25 an the spring and rod that attaches to the governor was a-danglin', and you showed the location !

    The carburator choke and valve is the same and is located on the out of the carburator before the intake pipe. The engine governor controls the carburator choke via a small rod. The second rod w/spring is for set up the RPM engine. The carburator doesn't have any set up. Use only super 91-93 gasoline w/o ethanol. The ethanol produces the gomme. A valve on the gas pipe from the tank to carburator will be a good ideea.

    You saved my arse brother, even with Stabl it wouldn't start. Carbs are so cheap these days it was easier to replace and then use my ultrasonic for the other that came off to replace next time. This video was perfect too. Right to the point, no mucking about. I added an inline fuel filter since the replacement came with one.

    Parts are available to rebuild these carbs. Very cheap easy to do , nothing runs like a QEM carb.

    Is it normal for one of these carburetors to have gas leaking out of that red straw into the filter and then out of it? I bought a 4000psi water pressure sprayer dor 6 bucks and I can not figure out if that is normal or not or why it would do that.

    • @bbbjim1fixedit
      @bbbjim1fixedit  Před rokem

      The only time you should have fuel coming out of the bottom red tube is when using the primer. Constant leaking is not normal

    • @bbbjim1fixedit
      @bbbjim1fixedit  Před 24 dny +1

      the problem on this one is the needle and seat was leaking causing the crankcase to fill with fuel. A new needle and seat is around $6 and assuming the float is good this carb could be fixed. The replacement carb was about $11. I had good luck so far with after market Tecumseh carbs and hit and miss with Briggs. I wish you the best on your repair
