I disagree on the no fun to drive comment. This little hatch is tons of fun on the road. It loves to be revved and is way more fun to drive than the Hyundai, Kia, Toyota and Honda hatches. It fares well against the Polo and the Sport variant doesn't feel ashamed of the Mini Cooper.

Its the best super mini money can buy! Japanese manufacturers like the Honda and Suzuki makes the best petrol engine for small hatchback cars!!!

1.2 in UK is £30 per year in VED (car tax). Dualjet 1.2 is £0 per year! 50mpg+ and 60mpg respectively. Good Japanese reliability with chain driven engine (less expensive maintenance) and no nonsense. Cheaper than most rivals. I think those are a few things to recommend it against the alternatives.

My partner has a 2010 1.5 Swift automatic and she loves it. It’s very nippy and still in showroom condition and is a fantastic little car. The only thing which isn’t great is the size of the boot. It only takes one adult suitcase and that’s placed upright not flat unless you are prepared to leave any contents on full view. If we go away for a weekend we quite often use my Polo instead.

What a lousy dumb comment the Swift drives like a Mini looks even from the outside a Mini it sticks to the road in cornering just like a Mini but is way more reliable , so what a stupid test this is??!!!!!!!!!! very shortsighted , the Swift gives real pleasure cornering it !!

It's not all truh, The Suzuki is better then most concurents.
Better then the Mini, the fiat 500, Renault Clio, Citroën C3, Peugeot 208.
Check liabelety, off Suzuki and youre in the top 3.
    My GLX got automatic aircodition,
    leder sites, aloy,weels.
Also it's not, slow ether, 94 hp from a 1.2 engine is very good and that without turbo.
And if you would like a bite more,
buy the Suzuki Sport with 136 hp.
The car is fast.enough only you have to go over 4000 rpm.
Than the motor change in to a litle rocket.
There are you tube video's about a
    Suzuki going 180 km/ h.
    That's 120 ml / h.
Thise days, you can buy a Suzuki cheap, but you still got a very nice car that you can drive for years.

this shape suzuki swift sport is the same price (or cheaper depending on what you paid for the car) on insurance with a black box

Is it reliable compared to a Toyota Yaris or something else. Even price point wise are parts cheaper for the Suzuki if it breaks more often?

Zylux hey, I have the 1.2 sz2 and for me at 17 it was £1036 without a box. Highly recommend this car, for a 1.2 it's nippy and drives like a go cart when you want to have some fun.

I've driven both petrol and 1.3 multi her diesel also but the diesel has more torque and pickup and gives around 20 kmpl mileage
