    I know that I'm a decade late to this video but if your still taking comments I want to thank you for this video. I bought a Gas Gas TXT 300 trials bike and I'm 59 years old, I'm in the process of recovering from throat cancer surgery. I got a great deal on the bike and although I can't ride it yet I'm super excited to have it for when I can. Hopefully before winter sets in I can get her broken in. So many people told me to install a domino slow action throttle so I ordered it from The Tryals Shop. No instructions 😮 I really didn't have a clue what I was doing I never disassembled a throttle tube. You made it go very easily. This throttle tube takes way more twist than the factory one and I'm hoping it tames the 300 down just a bit. Thanks and I hope your doing well

    This is the vid I was looking for. I drive a cheap scooter that had throttle cables snap twice. Fortunately I was in pushing distance of home and the local mechanic but often wondered how I would access it for an emergency road repair if I were in the middle of nowhere. Thank you.

    How do you get more slack on the cable for it to reach the throttle tube. Im having to use needle nose pliers to pull in out and its barely reaching the tube.

    My tw200 has two cables, and when I put them back in the slots they dont activate the throttle anymore. Everythings put back together correctly

  • @robertbrandywine
    @robertbrandywine Před 7 lety

    So there are no bearings between the throttle and the handlebar? Seems like there would be too much friction. Also, what force is making the throttle snap closed? Is it a spring at the bottom end of the throttle cable?

    • @pawheelieboys6389
      @pawheelieboys6389 Před 7 lety

      On 2 strokes - when you twist the throttle the slide in the carburetor slides up, when you let go, the slide falls causing the throttle to snap close. Underneath the carb cap there is the end of the throttle cable wrapped in a spring which is connected to the slide.
      4 strokes - they have two cables - one is the return.

    Billet Aluminium End Cap - How many times did he say that? lol

    • @javandell8020
      @javandell8020 Před 8 lety

      +Tim Irvine He actually says "aluminum billet end cap", or that's how I heard it. The company sponsors per the number of times you mention the brand of a particular part.

    a question... how do you reverse the gas throttle so instead of rotating towards you, you rotate the throttle away... and is there a name for that? cant find any parts etc anywhere =) thank you for help...

    • @danielsoriente2426
      @danielsoriente2426 Před 7 lety

      That would be dangerous... you want to roll off the throttle, not roll onto it (in emergency)...

    • @dcrypter87
      @dcrypter87 Před 7 lety +1

      well what i heard and whats happened to my self when you loose control of the bike you tend to pull it even more and then ur doing wheelies =D

    • @danielsoriente2426
      @danielsoriente2426 Před 7 lety +1

      dcrypter87 only if your grip is wrong. Always keep your wrist lower than the bar. So when your wrist straightens up in an emergency, you roll off throttle.
      Wheelies happen when people have their wrists higher than the bar - they tense up hard, and roll on the throttle hard haha.
      :)

    This doesn't help, when you want to replace the cable... You already have enough tention on the cable, because it's the same cable!
