Late stage capitalism vs pure capitalism
Late stage capitalism doesn't exist. It's a socialist construct and ignores the fact that a capitalist economy fails from being miss managed by the government.
Helldivers 2 portrays an authoritarian government and Lethal company doesn't have an economy at all as an eldritch being is giving them busy work while throwing them to the slaughter.

Imagine a cinematic universe with games like content warning,lethal company,and helldivers. For content warning they would gather footage of new monsters,for lethal company they would sell scrap so they get money to the helldivers,and the helldivers benefit from both,getting money for funding and then new information on new threats
brooo a collab between all those game devs to sync up their games so that players work together across entire experiences would be nuts

Game theory moment: The Company is a subdivision of super earth, and tried to not have beautiful democracy. Super earth made a deal, so that half the scrap goes toward the helldivers and stratagems, and half of it goes to the big tentacle monster thing
I'll accept that as my headcanon.

Helldivers are not humans there’s just no way they are
Everything people call "late stage capitalism" is actually govt controlled corporate socialism. Here's an example. I live in bridgeport WA where orchards are the primary industry. since the 50s people have successfully operated small family owned farms. as of 20 years ago, the govt started getting involved. They banned every effective pesticide, installed "safety programs" that are neither nessesary nor effective but do cost many thousands of dollars we don't have to implement. "We have to bleach our tractors before harvest as an example", started bailing out big agricultural companies that plant thousands of acres in speculative new varieties and then post 10 million dollar annual losses, and the govt pays them to grow thousands of tons of shitty fruit that nobody wants to buy and floods the market. most of that fruit gets put in a fruit shed for a year and then dumped in a landfill. The resultant price collapse doesn't effect the big growers because their money is coming from govt wellfare. Small family growers get screwed because they can't have their costs covered by the taxpayer. little farmers get driven out of business and then the big govt connected farms buy up their land and plant even more fruit at a loss. They flood the market and get millions of dollars from the govt and the cycle repeats. The abuses of "Late Stage Capitalism" aren't actually capitalism. They are Govt controlled corporate socialism.
