After 5 years I am still stuck in phase 2 but I have a foot into phase 3… looking forward to the day the sound doesn’t bother me. It’s still such a shock to me, even after all these years, that my body can produce this noise. Thanks again for sharing!

this is a very good video.. i experienced the exact same three phases. i have tinnitus since 4 - 5 months btw. I`m 26 years old and i got to phase 3 where the sound of the tinnitus is still here but I'm so busy by other things like my job, my hobbies and private life that I don't have the time to think about tinnitus. In the night I hear it it's obvious (no sound around everything is quiet) but I use tinnitus masking videos on youtube so I can sleep. In the beginning Tinnitus made me feel anxious, sad and angry but with the time you learn to live and accept it as it is. Right now I'm feeling much better and can live life again.. so for everyone who is dealing with tinnitus.. DON'T GIVE UP. Of course you can try medication or other things like therapy (I did that too without any success) but it's also a mindset that you have to learn to live with the ringing in your ear. If you come to Phase 3 where it doesn't emotionally affect you, you already get back your life!
LAST BUT NOT LEAST I CAN SAY DON'T GIVE UP AND I WISH YOU ALL A LOT OF STRENGTH FOR THE FUTURE

Thanks Jack, your videos really give me strength, especially when the road is bumpy.
I guess I’m in phase 2, but now you’ve made me aware of phase 3 I’ll continue my journey with renewed energy. Over the last two weeks I’ve been living with a “weapons grade” spike, but I know I’ll overcome it 🙂.
Keep up the good work, and stay strong 😎.

You are a real one jack, no BS just straight facts. This is exactly the info we need. Tinnitus really sucks but we have to keep ahead of it. I have been in and out of phase 2 reached a phase 3 the last 3 months and had my first major spike since achieving some peace and acceptance. And I have to say it kind of shocked me But because of what I did go through to try to achieve peace, I have a better understanding of what I need to do. Keep these videos coming you’re a godsend, thank you. Finding a balance of keeping your stress levels down and keeping yourself busy is key. ❤

Thank you so much 🙏 and I really hope you find some stability again with your ears . I’m really glad that you understood what I meant by phase 3. Phase 3 is fluid and not set. I think it’s important that people know that . I had a whole other 3 minutes of video where I talk about the fact that P3 is fluid but I edited it out cause otherwise it would To too long . Perhaps for another video l. But yeah, so glad the meaning was understood. Stay strong man 👍

Great video!! I've been through 1 and 2 and can't believe that now after a few years and loads of work I'm finally in phase 3! Exposition therapy helped a lot, also joining the Tinnitus Club by Frieder Kühne. I can also recommend Glenn Schweitzer's work.

I joined the tinnitus group Jan 2023 because of ear virus and let me tell you it’s been a extremely hard journey. The first 6 months I went through very bad depression and anxiety and I still do sometimes but I am trying to be positive.
Questions: is phase 3 when you don’t notice it anymore because I’ve had occasions when it feel like I don’t have it anymore and it makes me extremely happy?
Second question do you believe tinnitus goes away or volume goes down with time and diet or that it’s more habituation? Lastly, would you try devices like the Lenire or white noise hearing aids and have they worked for you?

    • @thetinnituschannel
      @thetinnituschannel  Před 5 měsíci +1

Hi there . Sorry you have been going through this with your ears and I hope it all settles down soon .
      Re your questions
      1. Phase 3 to me is when you don’t fear it anymore. This change in how I feel about my tinnitus means it no longer has control over my emotions. And yes it also sometimes helps me to not notice it as much.
      2. My t volume has not gone away at any point and has not gone down. It’s only gotten louder. Diet has not changed this. But audiologists believe that too much caffeine can have an effect on it so might be an idea to keep an eye on that.
      3. I have not tried Lenire. I have used hearing aids with white noise in the past and they have been a great benefit. But I don’t like to be dependent on things so I made sure to not use them too much and now I don’t use them at all .
Hope that helps. I have a website with some free tools and interviews that you might find interesting. Helpmytinnitus . Com
      Thanks. Jack

Hello Jack! My tinnitus appeared in my life 3 weeks ago. I just REALLY love to listen especially loud music through my earbuds... and before the day when my tinnitus appeared I was listening music really really loud and regularly... I also have other "problems" with my health and I thought maybe they are the main problem (Sooner I catched cold, also before my T day my I felt pain on my neck, but then it stopped... also GERD could be a reason...I don't know...) I immediatly stopped listening loud music after Ive got T (I stopped even wearing my earbuds everyday) and I tried to avoid loud noises as possible as I can. It is strange. I mean...after a loud noise exposure (for example after a loud concert) people have only temporary tinnitus... my tinnitus is not severe and so loud. I have like hissing sound in my ears (also the sound is always changing... my right ear can be louder or vica versa... also only when I go to sleep my left ear starts "whistling...like wind". Maybe the problem is not from loud noise exposure? I was searching a lot information and found out that a lot of people who have T because of loud noise... they have specificly "ringing" not "hissing or whoosing". Also I am 17 y.o. and I read stories of young people who said that their T had gone after several month...just because they limited loud noise exposure and they are young......
Sorry for writing too much... and maybe if I have some mistakes in my English (English is not my mother language)
But I really hope that my T will go away... I still can't handle it every single morning. But I understand that I need to accept my T and I need to not be stressed.

Hello Alexander. So, first thing to do is stay calm. You have only had it for a short while and perhaps it will go away. And even if it doesn’t, you are going to be just fine . I speak to people all the time who have tinnitus and they live perfectly normal lives. Even musicians . So the most important is to stay calm . Second. You should probably take it easy with the ear buds and loud music for a while longer . Just until you get used to this new situation. But soon your brain will adapt and it will become much easier . I have a website calore helpmytinnitus. Com which also have an email. So if you want to ready out to me with any questions just email me . Or I am on Instagram with the same title . I’m always happy to help . But remember, stay calm, you are going to be just fine 👍

Minimum 3 years u can get silence. Also take supplements like zinc copper b12 vit D3 Taurine magnesium helps . Tinnitus is not for life, definitely you can come out of the noise.
