Like you I have had Tinnitus for over 20 years , had a major spike in October 2020 and had a couple over recent years , your advice as usual absolutely wonderful, did the same as you , found staying at home indoors all day did not help at all so I put on my walking shoes and off I went , the best thing I could have done walking is such a tonic .hope your spike goes very soon . Thanks so much.

Really needed this! Also going thru a bad "spike" and my tinnitus feels like 50% louder. Thanks for all your videos!

Thanks for the reassurance Jack, I’ve just come out of a nasty spike myself.
Also I’ve taken your advice from another video and gone unplugged. I stumbled across a second hand Hofner Shorty in the music shop, endless almost silent armchair noodling 🙂.

crisis at 73 a viral infection congestion displaced my eardrum a construction site in my head weeks on and finally an ENT in manhattan gave me enough drugs to resolve infection which I DID NOT EVEN HAVE A FEVER FROM telling me my hearing was damaged suggesting hearing aides. He said if necessary he could surgically place drum back. It restored to correct position but i then developed what I assume is body wide pulsatile tinnitus still unresolved than vertigo of severity landing me in hospital for 3 days for 11 weeks in the other ear. No other medical problems and my hearing came back to normal thankfully To his vast surprise hearing back to normal but no answer for the pulsatile tinnitus. Any advice greatly appreciated thanks

I'm in my second week of a very depressing spike... I have 3 young daughters and it's because of them that I find the strength to carry on and get through this, however, on the flip side to this, they don't help much with their high pitched screams and screeches and god know what other disturbing noises kids make at their age. Think I need to get out for a walk.

    Jack, do you have hyperacusis?

Why don't you contact some entities that are looking for a cure for tinnitus, and help them develop some kind of definitive cure or at least substantial relief?
It is necessary to insist with the scientific community regarding this condition.
Have you been playing live concerts?
Do you often go to bars where live bands play? If so, how do you avoid further damaging your tinnitus?
I love playing live and seeing bands live. It's something that's been part of my culture since I was born. It's really hard for me to continue doing it when I have tinnitus.

I do play shows and record . I am very careful about listening to live shows though. Has to be a good sound environment
