There are literally hundreds of these for sale new and used. I have no idea how dealerships are still trying to sell them 30-80% over MSRP 😂
Not anymore , most of the dealers are charging around 5k more than MSRP now (not only for new order , cars that are already available) Even if they say 10k if You negotiate they are willing to come down to 5k. Soon every dealer will start selling at msrp.
Just saw one on NJ... The dealer was discounting.. it's a 2lt with odd options.. perf exhaust and mag ride.. but not the z51.. 🤷🏻♂️
For Msrp I would order one right now.

I'm sure you've already been made aware. the rear slot, which you believe to be a, "3rd cup holder." Is actually a cell phone charger. But you still present in your usual impeccable way. Absolutely impressive vehicle, isn't it? I have a, C6, and some sixteen years later! And it's still fun!

That cup holder you mentioned between the two seats is actually a wireless charger on the upper trims.

Double side note.. my C8 just arrived! Waited just under 3 years for it. So damn excited.. to put it in storage for 4 months until the snow leaves!😒

Price is coming down in sense you won’t be paying over msrp anymore. But it’s still a solid car with great bang for your buck
The C8 Corvette might destroy the used exotic sports car market. Why buy a seventeen-year-old Ferrari 360 when you can have a brand new Corvette C8 with a factory warranty? And very possibly have a nice chunk of change left over. The C8 was benchmarked against the Ferrari 458. What an achievement! I like it without any spoiler.
Ordered Z51 last day of November. Will pay $5000 over MSRP. Was on MacMaulkin list but an allocation became available 20 miles from me. A car in ATX is better than one much later in NH.
Mike, for me, as a driving enthusiast who prioritizes communication from the car, I'd say three things.
1. The car is a better package that most supercars if you consider maintainace, parts and long term ownership.
2. The car must be bought with GMs class leading magnetic dampers. It's transformative.
3. The engine is amazing. It would be an exotic in Europe being an naturally aspirated V8. Just because it's common in NA we don't value it as much. The Z06 engine is unnecessary but icing on the top.
4. What kills this car for me (and Mustangs but not the Camaro) is the steering ratio is too slow (its nearly 16:1 vs driver focused sports cars which are well under 14:1) and there is ZERO feedback from the tires through the wheel. It's like a simulation steering. This is the one area where Porsche just mops the floor with GM and of course the Lotus Evora/Emira). Drive a GR86 and then a C8 back to back and you will notice the poor steering. If they fix this I think C8 is easily one of the best sports cars made.
5. I want a manual someday. Hoping they do it once the hype is done and sales slow.

Mine is being built this week - ordered at msrp from Ciocca Chevrolet - paying msrp and built my spec for the car within a week and the car is coming from the factory in about 7 weeks later. Ciocca also has a lot of brand new C8’s as well on their lot most of the time if your not the patient type of person. Ask for Matthew and let him know Jeff sent you to him.

So actually that "Third cup holder" Is actually for holding your phone and can be used as a wireless phone charger! Great technology in the c8, they really thought of everything!

Z51 and mag ride are must for a Vette. If you like better interior you can go for 3LT and is amazing.
Mag ride is a total waste of money, in tour mode mine rides like a Cadillac and I do not have mag ride, unless you are living in Florida or you are tracking your C8 you do not need the z51 package especially that it only comes with summer tires which make undrivable in the winter...... the car has more than enough performance and comfort as is ... anything you add on it is just for bragging rights and most people have no use for z51 or mag ride and they add no value

You can rev as high as you want. it's actually the car that restricts you unil 500 miles, not the driver.

I own 23 C8 2LT Z51 Mag Ride. Never ever been a “Vette Guy” and I love this car! If you’re on the fence get one! Just don’t wear white New Balance sneakers and jean shorts like so many owners do.
To solve the back end "ugliness" the spoiler is key. Wheel spacers to.
I'm getting a corvette this year, this one I wouldn't get because it doesn't have the 3LT Z51 package. It's nice but for that price point I want more options
I just got the 2lt with z51 in rapid blue. 3lt in my opinion isn’t worth the upcharge for what you get

This or that Camaro SS 1le you reviewed a few months ago? I like the idea of the vette but I just see that 6 speed 1le sky rocketing in value in the next 15-20 years. These Vettes are a dime a dozen.
you do realize that manuals are way slower than the latest Dual clutch transmissions? There is a reason only 10% of buyers opt for the manual.....especially if it's your daily driver
Depends which model , a 3lt convertible loaded would be 150k with our luxury tax (25k) anything over a hundred k.

I placed my order two years ago and my C8 just arrived but I must be honest it was worth every year and every minute I waited.
Believe the hype, the Chevrolet Stingray, C8 is the real deal.
I’m really enjoying my new C8 it’s revolutionary memorable unforgettable incredible remarkable phenomenal.

I think to be a supercar you have to have a special engine. The Z06 has one of those. Base Vette engine is shared with a Tahoe. Still good car for money.
Yet the base C8 can beat the majority of those "supercars" with it's Tahoe engine 😂
It’s not a Tahoe engine. Same displacement that’s it. And that’s the upgrade. Most tahoe 5.3l

There’s a “used” ‘23 coupe I’m looking at with 2LT trim and lots of options such as drop front memory, black aero with the high wing (they look great with any wing or spoiler) and performance exhaust. The only thing missing is the “must have” Z51 package. They’re asking $85k US. I am very tempted.

Corvettes are like a double-edge sword. They're so fun to drive, but if you want to keep it as an investment or collector's item; you should drive it that much.
Corvettes aren’t really ever investments unless you buy an older generation C1,C2 and early C3’s otherwise you should consider the Corvette the best performance for the money out there right now and drive the piss out of the car.
Nothing like beating on a car before the break in miles are up.
People dont follow break-in recommendations all the time. Engineers know this and plan accordingly.
Love the channel and there’s a healthy growth, but realistically (and sadly) I don’t think so. Maybe 250k??

Z51 and Mag Ride are a must. It makes a different car, and a must if you are going to track. Don’t agree with your comment regarding ‘modding yourself for track’ and foregoing Z51. I’m a fan and usually enjoy your reviews, but as a current owner of a C8, you missed the boat on this one.

The blue looks great but a little loud for me. Matrix Gray or black would be my choice. But I might settle for white.

I paid 35000 out the door price for 2006 ZO6 Corvette with 2000 miles on it I'm not kidding that's a great bang for your buck it looks better than new.
I don’t know about Canada but in the US the prices for these are dropping quick. Truly don’t know why you would call a car an investment, specially when they make 1000s of these every year nothing limited about it. Lol

Ok, dude, I've popped over here to clarify a few things.
As mentioned in my comment for the SL63 you reviewed, I have a fully loaded 2021 C8 Corvette Stingray Z51 3LT Convertible. I'm a Canadian owner in Alberta and have racked up 40,000 km's and have winter driven it with absolutely no issues. No garage queens or "investment" vehicles for me. This car was designed to be driven and I have no respect to anyone who sits on theirs to bilk true car enthusiasts. Anyway, rant over.
The "rear holder" you were trying to insert your Red Bull into is a wireless charging pad for your phone. Lol.
The car you have wasn't broken in. It only had 175kms on it, which means you were not getting full power out of the vehicle. That's why the red-line started at 4500 instead of the normal 6500 rpm.
You didn't have the Z51 performance package. Dude, that changes the car completely, and if you drove a 3LT with that package after the break-in period, maybe you wouldn't have been smitten so much with that SL.
And one surprising thing that no one talks about with the Stingray, gas mileage. I know it's not an important consideration and I certainly didn't care about it when I bought mine; but dude, I'm consuming only 9-11 L/100KMs in city driving! City driving in that SL is 20 L/100KMs! It costs me only $85 a tank with 93 octane. The SL costs $130 a tank you said, ugh. That's because the C8 Stingray has cylinder deactivation. In fact, in my downhill drive from Kamloops to Hope BC, I got 4.7 L/100KM's driving 120 KM/h! That's friggin' unbelievable!
So, all this to say that his car is more than amazing that this review lets on. It's a friggin' moonshot for any car company, let alone GM, with more variants to come (Z06, E-Ray, ZR1, Zora). The genie is out of the bottle now and I find it hard to justify why I would pay any more than $200k to any manufacturer these days that doesn't deliver a full-out supercar experience.

I looked at same, and bought the Vette. What sold the Vette over the Supra for me was the Supra does not have a removable or convertible top, reviews state you can't even roll the windows down in the car due to the noise, and the Vette is much faster. Not to mention, not a fan of fake non-functional vents on the Supra. That just cheapens the car. I actually went into my search with the intention of buying the Supra when it came back out, but reviews changed my mind.

@DJUNKNOWNxx the point is the car will be fine. You can always tell someone that doesnt understand engines when they talk about break-in. Did you know there are many engine builders that will immediately break-in an engine on the dyno, change the oil and then tell you to go do whatever you want? Most of modern day break-in periods are for the brakes, transmission and rear end (this is the big one) and suspension. If you research some on your own you might learn something.

@@Forever.Remain.Nameless Hellcat and Demon are only good on a prepared track on a normal street they have huge problems to put all the power down to the street and unfortunately they are very heavy and that without AWD.
