A fun solo - bait'n berley bash and a bit of softbaiting on a west coast Harbour.

- With a nice weather window during the week I decided to ditch work and head out on the Harbour for a good ole bait'n berley bash. The water temp was still a little warm as I was hoping it had dropped enough for the smaller fish to disperse but it wasn't to be. With a bit of a hard morning on the bait's I switched it up in the arvo to the softies which was a great decision. Kingfish, trevs, carrots and snapper took a liking to them.
A fun day on the Harbour and a few fish in the bin......

Sweet time-lapse. You were fishing about 2ks from my really good spot. I got a 68cm there two weeks ago. The Minn Kota is great as you can fish 3/4 oz in full current.
Big ones definitely moving around the harbour at the moment, nabbed one 18lb last week. Been getting good ones around the graveyard on lures also. Softy’s and slow jigs. Cheers

The snapper have a sharp gill plat cover right where you hold them around the bottom of the face - one kicked as I released it and cut it.
