  • CBC's Kevin Weekes makes a terrific correlation between an unusual but very useful part of Michal Neuvirth's warmup routine and its use in the game. Neuvirth warms up by imagining a screen in front of him, then tilting his torso and shifting his stance to see around it from all angles: he goes low around each side of the screen's imaginary hips, then draws himself up all to look over the shoulders, followed with a tight blocking butterfly. Weekes then shows Neuvirth using this technique in game situations to great effect, allowing him to see around the Flames' power-play screen and pick up shots well in advance.
    A terrific technique well-modeled!
