Awesome thank you for this video I was actually looking into them to buy a gen 3 Once I move out of where I'm at the blood red one wow this was amazing thank you
@@luigiviking3667 Cool! I'm loving this one 😀
When a rifle is hot it effects the accuracy a little bit. You didn't mention if it maintained while it was burning hot
@@chupacabra4897 I wasn't testing accuracy in this video. That wasn't my intention
@@2aEdu yeah man I hear ya and appreciate the video . But I just wondered how accurate it was after it was boiling hot. 🤔 Great video
Funny thing is my GF5 couldn't make it through one mag without malfunctioning. My GF3 ( low serial number ) has over 10k thru it and she's still slapping out rounds great!
What brand magazine were you using with your gf5?
It’s funny when people use the worst most garbage magazine in the Ak and it malfunctions so they think they sound so smart by blaming the rifle
Richard Robinson probably used a magazine that he had buried in his backyard for a couple years and then when it jammed he is all like "hehe look at this gf5 malfunctioning"
@@jfuzzymans9080 lol cope much? Actually, I was using Russian bakelites, Bulgarian 30s, Romanian 30s and many other good brands. I don't use trash mags. Secondly, PSA knew of the problem and later fixed it. It was an issue with their firing pin channel being out of spec allowing the firing pin to extrude too far causing the primer to burst sending pieces of the primer into the firing pin channel. Any other questions simp?
I would also like to know what mag. Mine runs magpul and the provided psa mag just fine. Bulgarian surplus do not fit and need to be slightly modified
@@Ellienollie all of my mags fit my PSAs just fine. Bakelites, rommies, east German steelies, Hungarian tanker 20s, Chinese flat backs, bulgy steels and poly mags.
Great video 2A. That PSA "blem" AK continues to be pretty impressive. Great to see the 2A community members shooting it as well.
Thank you! The GF3 is doing great so far. I was a good time 👍
Just got one of these recently. I was surprised to see it had the 4340AQ front trunnion that the GF4 and GF5's have. PSA is doing really great at bringing US made AK's to the market
I just got 1 too. I take it by your comment the 4340AQ trunnions are better than older 1s? This is my 1st AK and have only ever shot 1 (don't even know brand or model) years ago once.
@@brentreeve7554 You are correct. The 4340AQ are much stronger than the older 4140 steel trunnions. This PSA AK is very well built.
@@blackbeardgamer5909nice,I just got a used gf3 and it has that front trunnion.
As a beginner, I really enjoyed observing all the different stances and upper body positioning of the shooters. Great content as always!
Awesome, thank you!
I have and have built several AR-15's. I tried to build a 71' AKM, and due to work and what not got in over my head. For now. In the meantime I just bought a PSA AK. Thanks for the video!
Psa makes good guns for the money. For what you pay you’re getting a significantly better gun than a lot of offerings.
I agree!
Awesome job and was glad to take part!
Thank you! I had a great time and am glad we got to hangout again.
I picked up a “blem” GF3 with Magpul furniture for $499 with free shipping shortly before covid hit and prices got crazy. I’ve only put a few hundred rounds through it, but it’s run flawlessly.
Awesome!
They are on sale for 599 rn
What is the difference between a blem and odg just the color??
@@oscarvillalobos2453 There is a slight blemish somewhere on the rifle.
That was a fun day.I was actually impressed with that ammo. While loading it(with that great loader,Had to buy one)I was looking at every round. Was thinking for a more budget friendly ammo that there might be some differences. But nope every round looked just like the last one
Was nice to finally meet some of the people that you talk to online. Thanks to you and Lynda for a great day. Also Pillbox Bunker for hosting it at his place.
I like this ammo too. That was cool of you to load all of that. It was an awesome day. I am already looking forward to next year. You are welcome man 👍 I am going to post the video with your 10mm soon. I have been super busy, and also dealing with issues with YT behind the scenes. Some of their manual reviewers restrict stuff that is totally within guidelines. It gets frustrating.
@kurt24 you're the man! Glad you got to get out - hope you enjoyed the trip! Hat is off to you for the 1000 rds you loaded 💪🇺🇸
Fancy bumpin into you here.
Nice. I have two of their AK's and I really like them. Great customer service and they are definitely capable of building good and tough guns as far as I can tell.
Purchased a GF5 about 6 months ago and have been pretty pleased with about 500 rounds fed so far. 👍🏽
Cool!
PSA used to have a GF3 AK/Dagger combo for $799. Haven't seen that deal in a while.
Great video. Had a blast hanging out and shooting it. Can’t wait for next years hangout!
Thanks man! I did too. I'm glad you were there hanging out with us 👍 I can't wait either.
Great to see you out there having a good time 💪🇺🇸
Thank you!
Good stuff. Loved seeing all the different people shooting. Ok, now on to 2000. Thanks for sharing
Thank you. It was a good time!
Iam not going to be one of those guys who makes the statement that this rifle is better than XYZ high tier brand; but I will say that this has good deal of ammo through it and I have not had one issue. It just runs. Thanks for the test!
What a great family. Much Love.
Thanks man!
Great review. Haven’t seen one better. Helped me make my decision!
Thank you!
I'm glad I still have my PSA AK-47 GF3. Looking to get AK47-P. Nice way to get different shooter testing 1k rounds!
Was experiencing light primer strikes kind of frequently in my GF5. Dropped in a polish firing pin & haven't had one issue since. Prob the ammo in your case though. Nice job
Love America built products. Thanks PSA!
Me too!
Before I saw the video i saw your review and yess you are Sir!
man, that one guy with the camo has was deadly that boy can shoot
That was me. Thank you
That is my friend Jeremy 👍
Can't wait till PSA gets their 7.62x39 line up and running!!!
Or AAC 😊
Thank you so much for making this video. I just bought a PSA GF3, making it my 4th AK, but first from PSA. Glad to know that I made a sound purchase. I'd love to visit the factory, but it's pretty far from Pittsburgh 😔
I feel u im in pittsburgh pa what r the odds live in bethel
Bout to buy one myself
I was recently considering getting the PSA AK as a “holy shit the world is collapsing” gun to use in some pretty harsh environments considering the AKs widely known reputation for their ability to not give a shit about any environmental factors and still shoot.
That’s exactly why I ordered one
If the misfire was caused by a light primer strike there would have been many more in 1000 rounds. I think PSA guns are great. They are doing a great job at what they want to do ...provide affordable firearms that work.
I talked about the "light primer strike" and clarified it as hard primer in this video. I agree that PSA is making great guns. I have seen all of it behind the scenes and am even more impressed with what I saw.
It's a firing pin issue, some like to get stuck especially on the hi spec red army ammo. if you take a punch and widen the pin hole it fixes the issue. It was common in there original gf3 series
@@2aEdu
Agreed.
I'm watching your video 5 months out. But I'd tend to agree.
Hard primers are true of alot of mil-surp or "new" ammo made off of old Warsaw Pac machinery.
So if the rifle was fed Western or perhaps higher end, Eastern European, brass case ammo?
Much of the light strike phenomena might disappear.
The only alternative I could think of would be a firing pin replacement.
Or perhaps a smoothing or cleaning of the firing pin channel inside the bolt assembly. Sometimes dirt, unburned gunpowder, and general carbon/metal debris from firing a rifle can cause trash to collect inside the firing pin channel, causing drag on the pin and thus retard or slow its velocity down just enough to cause a light strike or no strike misfire.
All in all.
I'm glad to see ANY American manufacturer turning out a decent, "off the rack" AK copy.
Hopefully one that can compete with any AK builders gun using Saiga or other "original" former Soviet or Warsaw Pac AK parts.
Such AK's are sometimes very nice if properly put together by someone who has both the time, parts, tools, and knowledge to do so.
But are often out of reach, cost wise, for an average working class guy or gal on a budgeted income.
I just got a PSA AKM-47 GF3 with the imitation bakelite furniture. It is wood under the paint because bakelite is environmentally destructive to make. I am very impressed with the fit and finish. Rivets are all pressed flat and strait. Both front and rear site appear to be strait. Optics rail looks level. Came with a single plastic mag but I prefer metal. Getting Bulgarian mags with the bolt hold open. I have blank rounds. I ran the 2 magazines I have with the blanks. Magazines fit perfect, cycled perfectly, held the bold open and ejected right. 4 more supposed to come in today I will check them as well. Going to the range at the end of April with 7 full mags to shoot.
I own and love this rifle. Such a joy to shoot.
Great review! Nice rifle
Thank you!
Good information as well review, Sir.
Thank you!
That was a fun day! Can’t wait for next year
I know! Me too 👍
Really nice. Looks like a lot of fun.
It was!
I remember a video featuring Jim Fuller in which he talked about AK's made by state sponsored arsenals that do not have to concerns themselves with profits and private companies that do have to make a profit. That said, Jim Fuller did praise the PSA GF3 for being a good quality firearm for the money. Having a forged trunnion, bolt and bolt carrier. Those features solidified that statement and make for a more robust firearm.
this is a fantastic Public Service Announcement
It is a great PSA.... lol
Was looking more like a kit to build one but ended up buying the whole unit with a collapsable stock, still slightly under 1k, so not too inexpensive for an AK, but I do prefer them if they are made here.
Hey 2a Edu! Look it fun! Very good AK
It was!
I Ordered a blem GF3 after watching this. Thanks for making this video!
Hope you enjoy it! If you want to email me your order number, order date, and order sub total, I can get credit for it to help keep the channel going. I have affiliate links with PSA, but I cant post them here. I do on my Locals community though.

Battlefield Los Angeles had a GF3 hit 17,000 rds.
@@punisher9oneone I’m hearing good things about the PSA. Battlefield LA had a WASR with 115K through it

Love the video. Thank you. Never pour cold water on a hot gun though. That can cause damage itself... Just my thoughts.. But I love the psa you bought. I want one.
Thank you. It's all good with the water. It didn't do any damage. The steel would need to be glowing to mess it up with water.
@@2aEdu OK. Cool. I was worried
I wish I could have been there with you guys Howell Michigan is not that far away from me about 2hr south
Ok now I need to save up! It has sparked my interest……a lot!

Good video defenetly reliable
Thank you! It ran great so far.
Probably the only US made AK I'd buy. Nice ejection pattern as well
It's a very nice piece I bought one myself
Probably the only one I would buy as well. PSA AKs I mean, because I just got another one today. lol
@@2aEdu very nice. They have nice barrels. I'd love to get a tula kit from them but a little to deep for my pockets unfortunately.
This might be my next one I buy my first one I just bought not to long ago is a damn sweet rifle Zastava ZPAP m70 or a good ol yugo
@@kyletaylor2741 Great rifle. Ive got well over 3k rounds through it, the only trouble i had was the cover release pin got stuck. I sent it to Zastava on a Monday and had it back in my hands that Friday. Fixed.
I keep an ove-glove in my range bag for this kind of shooting
Works like a champ
Hell yeah!!! I didn't know Kurt24 was loading for you, he's a great dude. Next time, this kinda thing goes down, MurphyzLaw wants to be invited...!!!
Love my PSA AK103 n my PSA 57 Roc. Got over 7k of 762 rounds, a lot of those b n that Global Ordinance. Love PSA, psa all day! Stay ROCKIN the Roc! 2A all day, arm America! FJB FJB!!!!!
Nice! Lets Go Brandon!
I've had my GF3 for about a year now. Pumped a little over a 1000 round. So far, no. Malfunctions.it is a very good starting platform and b. Eing an AK very cheap to upgrade.
Hard primer... Rifle is great 👍
The guy in the black t-shirt is definitely an AR guy and or army trained 😂 he was shooting the ak with nose on the dust cover and shoulder back …
I'm not sure, but I think he is more of an AR guy. I think he did a fine job shooting it though.
Hello! I am stuck between getting a Pioneer Arms ak47 with polymer FDE furniture, similar to yours, and a rifle with the traditional wood furniture. Although most AK's weigh around 7.3 pounds, would polymer furniture make the weapon lighter? How much does your GF3 weigh?
Don't buy the pioneer. Buy the gf3 if you cant afford a Romanian wasr or zastava
Great video
Thank you!
@@2aEdu I want to buy a 2A sticker
A true light primer strike can also be caused by the primer seating depth being incorrect.
It was a common issue dealing with the firing pin sometimes getting caught. Alot of people changed there pins or widened the hole and never saw issues again. Great rifles just gf3 was the start of them making ak platform weapons
See, I like Jeremy. Jeremy don’t give no fucks
I just got a used gf3 with the redwood and cheese grater upper gas tube cover.
Guy said its had 1030 rounds through it total.
1 thing that sucks is the front sight is canted.
Its still lined up but as far as itll go to the right to be zeroed.
Of i ever gotta send it in i will tell them to fix it.
Mine has been great 👍
That's a true klak -a- lakking endurance test!
Will take more than a few hard primers to stump Minnie Pearl
Someone in the comments told me I needed to do 5k rounds. I told him if he is going to send the remaining 3900, I will shoot them all in a day. lol Minnie Pearl 😀
I like the redwood and nutmeg versions.
Me too. I just picked up a Nutmeg GF4 today actually.... I will review it soon.
I'm very happy with mine it shoots well. I think it was only like 569.99 I had gotten five percent off.

@@randomruss651 No prob. Thanks!
Wow thinking of getting one hows it holding up still?? Cool review I’m a subscriber..
It is in great shape. I showed the inside of it on a Locals stream after I did this video.
Thanks now when they have the gf3 Zhukov O.D.G. on sale, I'll know to get it
No prob 👍 I hope you are doing good.
They are even less expensive if you by a BLEM (blemished) gun from PSA, which many buyers say comes without any blemish visible to them.
This one is a blem
Love buying way marked down blem rifles that usually at most have scratches or paint chips missing
Very true I just got a Blem AKP from them. I dont see a mark on it! Saved me 200.
I got one and the blemish is the little scratch where you move the safety from safe to fire mode . Lol you have to have a magnifying glass to see it . They are really brand new rifles and about $100 cheaper than one thats not blemished the only thing that slurps about them is the furniture the grip especially but I grabbed me a us palm grip and Atlantic stock I just ordered an aim sports long handguard for it. They are awesome rifles and very affordable and upgradable ,👍
Just a question were you using steel rounds?
Well you steel ammo later in the video my bad
How do the high mileage oil do for the gun? Good idea if u ask me
Excellent!
So where’s the follow up on parts wear you referred to?
Nice 👍👍🏴🤝🇺🇲

They have it for $619 rn on the website
Looking forward to seeing the internals after 1000 rounds in 1 hr. I'm sure it will look pretty good but it will be interesting
I said, I am going to do a follow-up showing the inside. This video was already long enough. I will get it posted soon.
It will be fine Jmac on CZcams shot 4k round full auto no problem
Bulk 7.62x39 has a higher primer failure rate. Just a fact.

I said there is a follow-up coming of the inside 👍 This vid was long enough already.
We should've gone and got a few eggs from those nice chickens he had to see if the barrel would've cooked them!!
Can an AR do the same? 1,000 rounds in an hour without problems? I doubt the AR platform could compete. ❤😂
Looks like a nice
Thank you!
I like PSA merchandise. The only bad part is they're too tight ass to include a cleaning Rod that would cost them $5. When you can buy one off of Amazon for $9 delivered and they want to charge you $26 plus $9 shipping for one when they should simply just include it. This is one of the biggest complaints about PSA it's just like their new Spiker rifle it's over $1,000 but it doesn't have a $18 butt plate with trapdoor setup you can buy off of eBay. Corner cutting is psa's name of the game. When it comes to ak's there's only one word in the game. Arsenal
Good for home defense
Hard to beat American copies of Inport arms.... Turnabout and all. 😎🇺🇲
Yep!
If it's really any kind of AK it should last at least yours and your kids lifetimes!
Should.... but all of them don't, but this one has been good so far.
Does that have a machined bolt or a cast one?
Forged bolt
Nice locals is great

I talked about it near the end. GO Bulgarian made. Check the pinned comment for my Locals post with more info on it.
I didnt see any light primer strikes.
I seen operator error that was obvious in the so called last light primer strike as he pulled the mag thinking it was spent without firing the last round.

@@2awarrior ?
I watched the entire video. I'm sick lol. I guess the rounds went off the second time. Lol. Don't be a dick
I ran each of the 2 rounds with hard primers in this video. They each fired the 2nd time.
@2a Edu yea. Sometimes they won't run 2nd time. Kinda was thrown off when you showed primer back in the shop at end of video and forgot you fired them again. Lol.
Ooh aaaand high mileage synthetic oil. My boy is not playing 1000 rounds in an hr. And 4 minutes... Yess. Love the crossroads we each have in our lives. Ok am listening.
I would like a PSA ak-105 at some point they are nice, but I'm still not interested in their prices it's too high for what it's worth in my opinion for a consumer Market grade range AK.
You won't find um cheaper bro. What do you want someone to give you one ? 🤣
I really wanted a pistol from those guys but now with the whole brace thing...
Some braces are basically just lightweight stocks. I’ve got an ar pistol and the brace simply cannot function as a brace but it makes a fine stock, definitely doesn’t look great.
@SAIDER206 it may get a lot easier to buy one now cause people might not want them anymore due too circumstance. Yeah the AK pistols are probably better because of no buffer tube!
What's up brother
Hey 👍
What ammo did you guys run?
GO. It is a good price. I have posted it on my Locals Community recently.
Maybe it's just me but, except for those whom live in Government housing (who have a lease restricting firearms ownership, which violates the law of the land!) One must be creative to retain their right! I just don't see how a person outside of a war would shoot 1k rounds without maintaining their tools. Love seeing your content 2AEDU!!!
People often want to know if a gun is "go to war" ready. I haven't even shown the inside of it yet. I don't think it is fair to say I'm not maintaining it.
It’s nice to know that once you lube it, it’ll run n run. Bc nobody is going to stop shooting so u could re-lube in a prolonged gunfight. That’s the whole point man
Hey brother, been gone for a while, but I'm back, lol. I would like to have one of those. I need a rifle other than my .22.
Hey. I hope you are good! I'm loving mine so far.
