First try! V-Linking between MV-8800 and V-8.

Check out my first try-out where I use the MV-8800 and the V-8.
Some info regarding this video.
I came across a cheap Roland V-8 and I was always tempted to try-out V-Link on the MV (and will do the same with my V-Synths)
I took me some time to get it working but eventually I managed to have it connected in a proper way.
The video signals come from the MV with Pix Jam and another camera pointed on the MV and V-8.
I've noticed that you can record all the movements done with the V-8. That way your program is always the same and it can be quantised too.
About the music, this is all done within the MV.
I've loaded a patch from 1Tekneek and I downloaded an acapella from the Beastie Boys. Then with playing with the BPM-Basenote I was able to get it all in sync.
All patterns I sampled and then I mastered them with the MTK. After mastering I created the song with maintaining 112BPM.
Some reverb is added to the vocals too.
Then the complete track was mastered with the MV and I used DanceComp.
Last step was to import the complete track into song mode and on another MIDI track I placed the PixJam pictures.
At this point I only had to route the video into the V-8 to add effects.
I must admit....very addictive toys :D :D

Niiiiiiceeee. It's a lot of work but fun all the same..I guess it's all in the workflow. I have lots of samplers and daws but I enjoy sampling and resampling and building tracks one instrument at a time in mixcraft 8 pro. Yes it's a lot more work but I have a lot of fun coming up with ways to deal with the limitations..So I get it. Beautiful work,maniac. You are amazing !!!!🥶🥶🥶🥶🥶🥶🥶

Those are some sophisticated units!
I noticed that V-link is pretty nice. It's a direct connection without setting up too much.
You can also program the V8 with MIDI CC but I prefer working with System Exclusive Messages.
Let's see what we can do with it.
Would love to have A P-10 or CG-8 but too expensive...

The video is off the v link?
I used V-Link between the MV and V8. You can also program MIDI CC but V-Link gives a standard set of parameters and with System Exclusive Messages.
Just scratching the surface ;-)
