Lexus LS460 control arm failure and knocking noises are a common issue and complaint on these vehicles. Watch my videos and you can fix that!
2007-2009 (and 2010-2011) Lexus LS460 RWD CAN upgrade to the revised 2012-2017 control arms. Lexus does NOT advertise this. Maybe they just want you to buy a newer car!
    1) The steering knuckle is the same 07-17. This is good news if we are going to start swapping different part numbers control arms. That tells us the geometry is going to be the same.
    2) The front lower arm was revised from silver to the black painted version, per the TSB related to knocking noise when braking.

    3) The original part numbers for this front lower arm are 48620-59015 and 48640-59015. The revised part numbers are for the 2012+ fitment and are 48620-59035 with 59055 replacing that one and 48640-59035 with 59045 replacing that one. Based on the TSB, Lexus confirmed that 07-17 lower front arms interchange, but websites only show the new part numbers as fitting 2012+. Beware! If you have a 2007-2011 there is a great chance that Lexus will sell you the old, original silver arms referred in the TSB.
    3) Lastly, while there is nothing official, the same conclusion can be said about the revised lower main arms that only show fitment for 12-17. Original 2007 part numbers are 48620-50070 and 48640-50070. The revised better bushing versions show on websites as "only" fitting 2012+ and are 48640-50131 and 48620-50131. Beware! If you have a 2007-2011 there is a great chance that Lexus will sell you the old, bad arms seen in this video.
These are the part numbers you need to order:
Lower main RH 48620-50131 RWD only 2013 upgraded arm
Lower main LH 48640-50131 RWD only 2013 upgraded arm
Lower Main RH 48620-50081 AWD only
Lower Main LH 48640-50081 AWD only
Front Lower RH 48620-59055 RWD only 2013 upgraded arm
Front Lower LH 48640-59045 RWD only 2013 upgraded arm
Front Lower RH (2) 48660-59016 AWD only
Front Lower LH (2) 48670-59016 AWD only
Front Upper RH (1) 48610-59125 RWD / AWD
Front Upper RH (1) 48610-59135 RWD only
Front Upper RH (1) 48610-59145 AWD only
Front Upper LH (1) 48630-59125 RWD / AWD
Front Upper LH (1) 48630-59135 RWD only
Front Upper LH (1) 48630-59145 AWD only
Knuckles with pressed in ball joints
    43202-59075
    43201-59045
The video doesn't specifically cover the upper arms, but there are old part numbers of the upper arms. Unsure if the rubber or design was changed to improve longevity, but the part numbers above are the "2012-2017" revised P/Ns.

Had my struts done all away around!! Noise stopped on passenger side now its on the driver side!! And now my driver tire at the top leans inward!! I believe the strut is bad on the front driver side!! UNITY struts!! Can you tell me why my driver tire is leaning inward at the top?

Are you noticing this only after the car sits awhile?
Use some sort of precision measuring device like digital calipers (cheap ones from Harbor Freight works fine) if you suspect leaks.
Raise the car on "Height High" and take several measurements at each wheel at several intervals.
If one corner is dropping slightly quicker then it could indicate a leaking strut or at the very least a leaking line nearest that wheel that needs investigation.
I once received a leaky Arnott when I changed my fronts.

@@joshriver75 Now when i turn the steering makes a creaking sound!! I think the strut is busted or bad, Cause I didn't have these problems before I changed the struts!! Going to go with the Strutmaster struts!! Should've bought them right out the gate!!
