That's pretty much normal when you go out camping. I was a girl scout and when we did cadet / senior weekend or a camping trip at least once I got so sick I didn't remember anything after dinner once. For some reason my troop leader didn't let me go home, despite my mom BEING there and like two other adults.
This is exactly what I'm fearing when I stay at a getaway cabin next month. 10 people yelling and hollering in the evenings treating it like a campground and not a quiet retreat in the woods.
I was literally just thinking, she isn't gonna put up another vlog so quickly, the next one is the cabins and it's gonna take her a little bit. But let me just check. And then BAM! SRV, you da best girl! 😂 👏👌
I'm like you I don't do tent camping. Last time we went to the mountains in Arkansas we stayed in a cabin with big hot tub. That's my kind of camping. Lol So glad you didn't hit the metal doorstop. Your fall sounded so scary.

Between the neck holes and arm holes in women's clothing I don't understand what clothing brands are thinking! Like I have bigger arms but I don't need my whole armpit exposed 😒 The cabins are SO cute! Would definitely prefer that to tent camping haha I love your family and how close you all are!
They are so expensive! We love our lake Tenkiller here in Oklahoma and stay at Fin and Feather for $100 a night. We get a huge cabin with all the bells and whistles. You gotta come see me! I'll show you a good okie time!😃
These Getaway cabins are good to just show up and enjoy "camping". Just bring food. Don't have to buy tent, sleeping bags, lanterns, etc. Or for families with young children. You pay for the convenience.
Love you sharing your family time with us! Camping is my favorite thing to do & been trying to drag my family out but maybe they will be into this sort of camping. you probably already know but altitude sickness is a thing. After all these years it still gets me. Hope Nahla recuperated well!

I hike in the fall in NH when it’s in the 30s-50s and I wear a t-shirt and still sweat. My jacket comes off within 5 minutes of every hike. I’m rarely cold generally speaking.

Its fun! I live like..5 minutes from it! They have a few small cabins in Starved Rock, they also have the old lodge options and newer hotel lodging options!
2 adults on a Tuesday-Wednesday was about $200 and yeah you do get a discount the longer you stay and the more time you go. Might go next month for my bday but I’m concerned about the bug sitch. Didn’t have to worry about that in December lol

Currently watching “Naked and Afraid: last one standing” very much interesteding.i would do this kind of camping but my husband(Micah) and i are going tent camping in July. I can't wait. We are 2 plus a 7lbs dog and we have a 10 person tent.

Loved the video. Planning a family camping trip myself. On your next trip take some baby powder with you and sprinkle it on the trash can lids. Racoons don't care for it on their paws. That's how I keep them off my trash cans. Now the puma....... Don't know what to tell you on that, Just be safe.

Haha so they didn’t come out with those tubs at that location until after we booked, I think. I was scoping out the other cabins and didn’t see any so I can’t verify how big they are

Wow. Starved Rock is beyond beautiful. I was there a couple of years ago with my family. We did not camp we just took a climb or walk. It was great.
