My husband got braces in April, it’s something he’s wanted his whole life and now in his 40s he did it. So I learnt not to depend on anyone but myself. The negative of that is now that I am married to a great man I have a hard time asking him for help or allowing him to help me with anything. He gets so frustrated with me, but he also understands that I just don’t know how to ask for help. I’m not used to having someone be willing to help me.
Girl, you are absolutely not alone in feeling the way you do about not being able to relinquish control. It is SO HARD to let down your guard & be vulnerable with anyone when you’ve been MAJORLY SCREWED OVER by the one person who was supposed to be the one to “hold you down”. I can't believe how expensive everything health related is in the US. I work in the med field and still can't get over that basic healthcare is locked behind a big check for a lot of people (not just talking about braces). It is expensive but the kids will apriciate it. I had my braces removed a couple of months ago and I'm almost 30. Im finally smiling with confidence.

Since you are coming up on open enrollment at the end of the year, you might be better off looking for a dental policy with a higher coverage for ortho. You’ll end up saving tons of money. I try to plan in advanced what my family will need for the year when choosing a policy. I am in the medical billing field btw! 😊

Hey Sarah! I am not sure what insurance you have now, but United Healthcare and Blue Cross Blue Shield usually has pretty good coverage. I have sold insurance for a couple years now; I mostly work with people who have Medicare/Medicade plans though so I am not sure how that differs from ACA plans. Most employers and indivduals are really happy with their coverage through those providers and I believe both have dental and vision options as well. Hope this helps!!!

When you played the old footage of your kids, and hearing you say how happy you are to have moved on from those situations and how it feels like a different life, hit home with me. I've watched since around that time, and went through sucky boyfriend stuff in my own life for many years and finally made it out, and now I have a partner who is lovely to me lile LG is to you, and I look back on those years of my life, and it really does feel like a different life or like I'm thinking of a story of another person, it's hard to believe at the time I thought I would never make it to the better side of things, and now I reminiscence and view the memories from the better side of things. I do this when all the wicks are burnt but I still have candle left, I just cut them up into tiny pieces and use them with our wax warmer! Hope it helps. 😊

Try to go directly through the health plan instead of Obama care. Delta dental is pretty good coverage but not all plans cover orthotics but it definitely covers cleanings and you pay 20% of fillings and stuff up to a certain amount. Definitely call Cigna or Aetna directly bc that’s a lot of money if your still having a deductible amount.

Regarding dental insurance, I have it through my employer and it still isn't great. It's basically because there are very few/no pre-negotiated rates in the dental field so dental insurance companies can just cover whatever they want.

I’m convinced there is no such thing as good dental. But I just heard about surest insurance (in a diff state but maybe still applies) and with it you know full price upfront before you go anywhere. You can do a demo online and type in “sinus infection”, “pediatrician,” “braces” or anything and see people in your area and what it would cost you to go there. supposedly you never get an “after” bill.
I work as a nurse and our insurance is pretty good we have Aetna and for my kids it covered 2500 for braces for each one it’s not much when the final cost is so much but it does help and we pay 100 a month. Covers almost the entire cost of meds for healthcare too so can’t complain too much

My situation exactly. Husband of 18 years wants separation and moved out. I have nothing to fall back on because we agreed 7 years ago when I quit my job I'd stay home and take care of my son and the household. So lost and need to find a way to get out this hole. But the financial situation is not as hard as the heartbreak. 😢
Warming light or plate, you still cover it before it sets up, and it'll retain the fragrance longer. Shut off the heat lamp, put on the lid, and let it resolidify with the lid on. It retraps the fragrance into the wax instead of letting it out into the air. As far as what to do with the vessel, you can melt the remaining wax and dump it in the trash. Never down a drain. Then wash it with warm, soapy water. Use for whatever. Holding whatever will fit into it. Paper clips, mints, hair ties/elastic bands, whatever.
I know this is easier said than done, but, let go of the past... It's severed It's purpose It's made you the person you are today... Without it you would have missed out on the life you have now, including the two best things that have come from it... Most dental insurance not real good .Usually cover only 80% of basic dental .Anything above fillings,cleanings,simple extractions ,basic exrays is like they cover 20 to 30 if at all.Some employers have Health savings account where you save your own money per pay for health items.Its not a great healthcare system we have.

I am a stay at home wife (no kids) I have 2 bachelor's and multiple licenses (bartender, funeral director, embalming, real estate) I was SCAAAAAARED to quit work and just allow him to pay the bills. We do have an unconventional life (pipeline) so I live in a big 5th wheel camper and we move around. ALOT. But my house is on wheels. So I don't really realize because my house moves lol

Hey SarahRae!!!! I worked for an insurance company... what I have learned working there and personally... Insurance usually will only oay a big lump or cover braces once in a lifetime. Hope this helps! You are a great mom!!!!

I actually used to work for the Health Insurance marketplace and I worked for United healthcares Medicare side also so if you ever need help understanding what a plan does or doesn’t cover I would be happy to take a peep at plans and explain the basics. I don’t sell insurance but from having to explain it to your average person I have a pretty good understanding of the jargon. 💓

Regarding dental insurance, I have it through my employer and it still isn't great. It's basically because there are very few/no pre-negotiated rates in the dental field so dental insurance companies can just cover whatever they want.

I’m convinced there is no such thing as good dental. But I just heard about surest insurance (in a diff state but maybe still applies) and with it you know full price upfront before you go anywhere. You can do a demo online and type in “sinus infection”, “pediatrician,” “braces” or anything and see people in your area and what it would cost you to go there. supposedly you never get an “after” bill.
I work as a nurse and our insurance is pretty good we have Aetna and for my kids it covered 2500 for braces for each one it’s not much when the final cost is so much but it does help and we pay 100 a month. Covers almost the entire cost of meds for healthcare too so can’t complain too much

My situation exactly. Husband of 18 years wants separation and moved out. I have nothing to fall back on because we agreed 7 years ago when I quit my job I'd stay home and take care of my son and the household. So lost and need to find a way to get out this hole. But the financial situation is not as hard as the heartbreak. 😢

Warming light or plate, you still cover it before it sets up, and it'll retain the fragrance longer. Shut off the heat lamp, put on the lid, and let it resolidify with the lid on. It retraps the fragrance into the wax instead of letting it out into the air. As far as what to do with the vessel, you can melt the remaining wax and dump it in the trash. Never down a drain. Then wash it with warm, soapy water. Use for whatever. Holding whatever will fit into it. Paper clips, mints, hair ties/elastic bands, whatever.
I know this is easier said than done, but, let go of the past... It's severed It's purpose It's made you the person you are today... Without it you would have missed out on the life you have now, including the two best things that have come from it... When you do look back, try & think of all the great, good times that where part of it.... Don't let it hurt you or those you love any more... Or just ignore all of this & call me crazy 😊
