- How To Make A Biedermeier Bouquet
Ingredients - limonium, lisianthus, oxypetalum, sedum, Ming fern, ruskus, grasses and central rose.
Todays video visits a style of bouquet that is very popular in Europe - the Biedermeier. This is essentially a compact tied posy design. We have used interesting materials to create this one - the statice or limonium tends to be overlooked as it is mainly used as a dry flower or filler, but the colours and texture make it very interesting when you make it the main feature.
Again the spiral technique is used to create the structure to the design.

Really lovely. I liked it best with the ruscus. I like it very well as a bride's bouquet! But it would also be a cheerful bouquet for the house.

This is lovely, John! I want to say I'm not a big fan of statice, yet on reflection, given the right color(s), I've used it often. It is quite versaitle and provides just a pop of color in a quite way. Oxypetalum in my new favourite. I'm a sucker for blue flowers. Thanks for this, and I hope your week has been going well!
