I paid close attention as you took me around that car showing me how wonderful and original it is. I can understand your vision and desire to chop that baby but just because you can doesn’t mean you should. When something has survived so long……. Look, it’s your car, just be sure because as you know, it can only be original once.
Declan O’Dwyer, Ballymacarbry, Ireland.
@gringo loco vvgggg. , ccs
I
As an Aussie can't afford to make him an offer he wouldn't refuse
Love the olds the way it is please dont chop it keep it as a very nice driver .
What an awesome Oldsmobile, if it were me I would resist the temptation to cut & chop. The car is way to nice and very valuable as a stock car with the low mileage.
I'll bet the first chop job ever made was because of crash damage 🔧
You have a beautiful Oldsmobile 1951-88 regardless they change the color the red looks fantastic. If you want to see one chopped up I'll send you pictures of my 1950 Oldsmobile two-door futuramic. Now it had to supercharged engine in it originally from what I was told it was junk. This car floated around people's garages for about 40 years. It is a tribute to Al gross. He was NASCAR before NASCAR was even NASCAR. If you like NASCAR pick the driver it should be the 13th commandment now she knows everything about Al gross if you're going to be a driver in NASCAR. Anyway Richard Petty Jr Johnson among the other contemporaries, all spoke very highly of Al gross. So the car is not just a tribute to him and his blue and white with number 88 on it also red interior. But some liberties have been taken like the modified Monte Carlo frame it sets on. Chrome reverse baby moons and so much rubber under the back there's a quarter inch Total space between the tires and inner and outer side to the fenders! It has a modified Corvette drivetrain. It has a floor shifter. Sounds cool doesn't it? But your little riddles mobile is so much cooler and nicer don't ever chop it up. There are other Oldsmobiles out there to chop up plenty of that. You know 49 through 53 look a lot alike. Mine is a example of a car chopped up and that category. Oh I know all of its shortcomings but it's a very nice of done tribute to the man. If you Google them you won't find near the information you should. This car with its factory supercharged engine was unbeatable and it was the super bird of its day! So you're 51 Olds 88 is actually in a fine brotherhood! They are the beginning of the hot rods. Overhead valves and so forth they predate the Chevy by about 5 to 7 years depending on which tripod you want to point out as performance straight off the dealership floor. We both know later in the 60s and especially today they all pale and comparison to what we can buy today if you have that much money in the bank. If I did I think I'd rather keep it there. If for some reason you think you would like mine better I talk with you but I sure like yours at 51 olds. You know they had about three different lengths for the two door and the 88 model for 1950. I need the low plastic trim around the window on the inside of the passenger door window. I thought about getting it made or trying to make it myself cutting something down because they tell me mine is the shortest. I don't know if that's all 100% correct but I've gone years without that piece of trim in my car. It's always good to have all your piece of trims in the car. Fantastic car I like what you do on your channel.
The Oldsmobiles of that era were nothing short of beautiful! I am in love!
My very first car I owned and bought and paid for myself was a 1953 Oldsmobile 2 door coupe similar to this. It was 1966 as I best remember and I paid $250 for it. Ran great! No power steering and drank the gas but still a solid set of wheels. I think also 53’ was the first year Olds put hydraulic lifters in the engine. It would click, chick, click as it idled. My advice is leave your car original. It’s a beauty. Nice video Jolene. Good job.
Beautiful Oldsmobile! Thanks for sharing her with us.
Thanks for walking the whole field for us and giving everybody a fair shake.
Love the old Oldsmobiles of the 1950s. My then brother-in - law had several of them during the 1950s. Good riding reliable cars. Faster than the average car too.
Bad Chad and Jolene, always the best show on CZcams!
Proud of you Metal artistic car designer. Good 👍😊 thank you. for your lessons.
Chad knows how to change gear like silk protecting the car from oscilating loads - sweet!
A nice Sunday outing and a nice car meeting. 👍
Nice to see different models from all eras.
Wonderful day. 🌞
Greetings from Switzerland
It's always nice going on a road trip in such kind of cars and also seeing other old cars, thanks for sharing
Love those beautiful old fifties cars.
Especially the very original ones.
Wow, that 51 seems like it runs smooooooth! Thanks for the vid. I'm still partial to the older rides (30's through 70's). Vehicles back then really had character (plus, you didn't need a degree in computer sciences to tune the darn things). Have a great day!! Blessings!!
Yes I had a 51 Oldsmobile we raced it in case stock automatic turn close to national record times do not cut that car up leave it like it is my car was gray with a black top red interior two-door hardtop the dashboard is very sweet in those cars my car belong to an old maid lady when it was new I got it used for $450 it was low mileage and I know how to make those old Oldsmobiles Hall I had a 49 stick shift you can adapt a 39 Ford transmission top and make it look like a shifter from a 39 Ford sticking way up high between the seat there's a formula to do that don't do it but it shifts like a dream with that 39 Ford top I did it because the linkage was wore out on the column
Thanks for the ride and tour of our beautiful Nova Scotia guys ....👍❤️🇨🇦
Thanks for taking us on the trip.
Chad and Jolene are a class act, may they FOREVER stay together as partners in business and remain forever fateful to each other NO MATTER WHAT!
That is one beautiful Olds, I remember when you went to look at it and the hood wouldn’t open.
Love seeing them driven.
This will be fun to see. Thanks for sharing Chad and Jolene
Thanks for the road trip and car show Chad and Jolene. That was cool
Wow! An Olds with a stick! That is something VERY rare.
Chad & Jolene thanks for sharing your day at the show. Some cool cars. Love your Buick!
What a beauty! Thanks for sharing.
Loved seeing all the cars. The loud music was too much. The countryside was interesting too. It made my day, thank you both from Australia. 🎉
Nice drive through the Atlantic seaboard and there were a nice variety of show cars, some customized and some not. As I was watching it was interesting to see the cars Chad went towards. I was wondering what was going on in his head about how he’d customize hem. Myself, I think the yellow VW would be the car I’d take home.
Very good video and love the old music…..lot of good cars and your Oldsmobile
Muito bonito. Excelente trabalho!
Thanks for the relaxing ride and pleasant conversation, Chad... 👍✌️
Car people and musicians are the nicest people amongst each other.
Absolutely awesome Oldsmobile Chad, thanks for sharing the car show.
I agree Donald!
We love Sir Chads interaction with car owners and lovers. Thank you Ms.(Queen) Jolene for video. We hope we live long enough to see your Bugatti done. Would pay $ to hear all of Sir Chads comments to people at car show. GOD BLESS.
You do you! Thanks for sharing and keep up the hard work you two

Man I love olds. Best cars ever made.
Leave the Oldsmobile STOCK. . .It looks so good, just leave it as a great representative of that era!

He has a whole warehouse full of his builds.
Good looking car chad and Jolene 👍
Lovely car, you're on the button about driving an old car, nothing like it. 👍
Hi BadChad, what a gorgeous car, Chad my take on this beautiful old car and this one with its history of just three owners should remain original.
It so beautiful
Thanks for your video
Thanks for bringing us along
cars shows are alway good thanks chad and jolene
Awesome. I know where to come to get the oldies.
Dad bought a 49 fast back olds in early 50’s
Had a AC in back but didn’t work.
AC didn’t last long on old rough country roads.
Had a big package tray behind back seat.
Good place to sleep for small boy on long trips back then.
Love you guys!! Videos are great and informative…really like the Olds🤙🤙🤙
hey Guys, thanks, was was fun, living in thailand, i really miss this sort of stuff!!! Cheers Cookie....
Thanks for the ride 👍🏽
Thats a beautiful car,
If mine I would repaint to original color, I learned to drive in a 51 Pontiac 4 door. Or rather that was my mom's car I drove after getting my license, actually I took a drivers education class when I was 15 and drove a 63 ford for that class but took my driving test in my mom's Pontiac
FUN DAY ...thanks for taking us for a drive and bringing us to the show.
Very nice car Chad and Jolene...thanks for the ride to the car show and walk around...alot of nice cars and a few interesting ones...cya tomorrow
Abig thanks to all those who take such pride in restoring our history for the our future.

My mum had a 1953 Rocket 88. Red hardtop, Hydromatic, body by fisher, as I recall. Nice day off.…. Beautiful countryside…..Great car show, very friendly folks…….Thx for doing vid…etc
Wow crazy Chad awesome lov to see it when done ✔️

Would be nice to see Jolene behind the wheel of that car. 😁
Russell Rankin.. it would be nice to see Jolene driving anything except having to work all the time!!
Nice Sunday drive
I enjoyed th trip, got to see your countryside, very like ireland
Jolene was probably The Best of Show.
I don't think Jolene gets enough recognition. She does an awesome job taking the pictures, editing and getting them up for us. Thank you.
I agree plus she's a whole lot better to look at than Chad, meaning no harm by that, I think we need more pictures of Jolene working and showing how to's and put Chad behind the camera, I swear you're subscribers would go up in numbers, something to think about y'all keep up the good work however you do it have a great day, this is Chill from Mooresville North Carolina
Need to show more video of Jolene. We hardly ever see her
You have to do those with new cars too.
Hey chad and Jolene, well that olds is a beaut, it really saddens me that you would even consider customizing that car , it’s one thing to take old tin that’s been setting out in the weeds for 20 years and making a creation out of it but this is a low mileage original that’s been taken care of , there were some nice rides at that show ,and as always the camera queen was on the scene 👍
I wish I would have found your channel before my dad passed! He loved older cars with 1957 Chevy and 1951 Mercury being his favorites! I miss him so much! Now that I look at this video being 4 months ago is about the time he passed, Sept. 8!
Love this Oldsmobile!
Some very nice rides there.
Even when you're not in the shop I enjoy the videos
I can’t believe how quiet that car is! Nice
Those old engines were great the old oil was poor it would sludge up easily so oil changes were very necessary.
Enjoy the Show Jolene and Chad
Cool RockaBilly!!👍😎👍
thanks for taking us with you two,fun to see cars that were at your car show in 2019....is that the green reflectors on the sound track ? C.j. & Linda
Sunday Funday. A car show is perfect. 👉😎👈
Love the Oldsmobile
