My experience with Plexiglas or Acrylic panels is you must always tape a band wider than your jig saw to keep nibs from scratching the material. Use a metal blade with a medium tooth so it sheds the cuttings. Use a variable speed saw and clamp the sheet down to keep it from dancing up and down with the blade action.

So much is happening with the shop! This car is rad for sure! I really enjoy when you guys are out talking with people like the 95 y/o who owned the suburban. Kisses to Fina! Like watching Doug and Nate work too. Also try to catch Jims videos when I can...If he gets his lights figured out he can stop scratching the new paint...Cheers!

The only thing I don't like about this build honestly is how high the engine is and the funky angle of the driveshaft to the rear end differential that's really not the best angle and can cause problems down the road other then that this thing has been a cool build so far

    • @JoeBrown-xs7fk

At the risk of being labeled a hater, I cannot understand what he was trying to accomplish by mounting the engine so high in the frame, just a 4" drop would have certainly helped avoid a lot of problems. Those u joints are going to be under a lot of stress at that angle.

I think it would have looked better to reattach the bottom of the grill after getting it cut down to size. You could have welded plate metal vertically from the front cross member and just inside both sides of the grill to support your grill there and at the bottom. The vertical plate steel then would have given you a robust mounting point for your headlights. The grill would have still looked complete and not looking like a raggedy sawed off mess. Just my opinion of course.
