- Happy Halloween folks! I thought it would be fun to show you how I made this magical mystical crystal ball using an effect called peppers ghost. Here are some links to the materials I used. Enjoy!

So, I have been tasked with making our iconic charecter apear and disapear and be a real like ghost throughout an amusement park. After watching tons of projection videos this made it super simple and cost effective. To create one sighting. Awsome
Great! I’m glad I could help. I’d love to see your finished creation when it’s done! Good luck!
That was great! Simple, straight forward, entertaining, and no repetitive dance music. Thank you!

It looks great in your video, how big of a factor is the viewing angle? For example, would people see a double image from the both the tablet and the reflection?
I would say the best way to view it is if you place it at or above eye level in a corner. Viewing from the side and top breaks the illusion.
Awesome job! Can this illusion and materials work with a larger crystal ball 🔮?? I saw a 12” globe terrarium that would look cool, but wasn’t sure if the effect could be done at that size using the acetate you listed. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks.
Hi! It can be done with a larger globe. However, the size of the screen may have to change. You can use a bigger iPad, a laptop screen, or maybe an old tv. You just have to experiment with the size of the screen.
How is your production quality this good this early?!
So how does the video show that way if the iPad is laying flat?
How do keep the image from distorting?
When you recorded yourself did you have a black backdrop? Great idea BTW 💡 👍🏻
Thanks! Yes! It’s just a black fabric. I also used black fabric to cover my neck.
@@nikkalcaraz thanks for the info, I'll have to give it a go, my granddaughters will love it 😀
You mentioned you recorded your self and uploaded it to your iPad- did you record from say a iPhone?
I actually recorded this with a camera. I think you can just record it straight from the iPad if you’d like. I just wanted a better quality image.
How dark does it have to be to pick up the acetate? Mine isn’t picking up any reflection?
The back should be super black. If the soot is too difficult, you can also use acrylic paint. Also, make sure your acetate is at the correct angle. 45 degrees
@@nikkalcaraz Thanks so much!
I'm trying to get mine to work now. Did you have success?
Why don’t I get any reflection of the video at all?!! Help!
It’s either the degree that you angle it or you’re not in a dark enough room. It’s supposed to be at a 45 degree angle.
Do I need a projector or just the ipad playing the video?

It’s working now thank you!!! I wish I could post a picture of it
