First of all, why should anyone be able to replace Ilayaraja? Ilayaraja was not the next MSV or next whoever you can name. He was the first and ONLY Ilayaraja.

It was a soulful bliss to watch you perform Ms. Ashwini.. I came there solely to listen and live Maestro Ilayaraja's music. I am a Tamil Bangalorean. I thank you from my heart for show-casing our Maestro Ilayaraja's greatest masterpieces. Also, the way you offer your tributes to our Maestro and the love and respect is so heavenly. Raja sir is unfortunately not properly recognized by his own tamil people. There are few haters who try to spread a bad image on him and only a few tamil people do this. This is hurting me a lot. But the love and support our Maestro Raja Sir gets from all other states is just amazing. Please do much more concerts. His music has to spread. People should understand the nuances of his music and know the wonders in each and every music that he has played. His background scores are a treasure. Let your journey continue along side Maestro Raja Sir. Wishing you all the success Ma'am..God bless you..!

Kalaignar TV, WHERE is the need to play those 2 songs (like "Find the ODD one out" in a logic exam question paper!), when Ashwini is here to talk about HER concert "Ilayaraja - an insight"? Hunting for more TRP or begging for brownie points for those 2 music directors? Those two parts were like biting into 2 stones at 2 different times, while having a tasty, sumptuous, divine feast! Nevertheless, Ashwini blasted her way through this very well. She NAILED it as to WHY Maestro reigned / reigns supreme! That SHOULD clear your channel's & the anchor's cloud of ignorance.

People forgot the truth of Ilayaraja music. The media overrated Sound Engineer A. R. Rahman. Now the world is trying to understand the real music is Rajas
In ilayarajas's time MSV's period finished, it is the generation gap. Accept the change Rahman also a good composer, not merely a sound engineer.
@@minusandhselvakumar2498 True. I am not under estimating A.R Rahman. But the fact is that he isn't not the replacement for both Ilayaraja and MV. Most of Rahman songs are very temporary, a month or two is the lifetime of his songs ( not all). Rahman has to work hard to compose a song. But for MSV and Ilayaraja it is very simple. You have to accept this fact Brother. I am also a listener of Rahman's songs, i do appreciate his music very much. Especially first 10 to 20 movies are excellent and exceptional in his own style but now he too has lost his touch. See how good other music directors are doing well compared to him.

If you want to listen to Ilayaraja you've all the freedom to listen to him and enjoy his music. But, calling Rahman a mere sound engineer is uncalled for. No one asked anyone for anybody's certificate here. It's the time of the 'era' - and change is imminent. Just accept and move forward - that's the sane thing to do. Shouldn't we be happy that we got two of the biggest 'Lords of music', instead of just one? :)
