நம் அரசாங்கங்கள் இந்த இசை மேதையை சரியாக கௌரவிக்க்காவில்லை.
இளையராஜா ஐரோப்பிய நாடுகளில் பிறந்திருந்தால், இவரை தங்கள் நாட்டு பொக்கிஷமாய் பார்த்திருப்பார்கள். ஆனால் நம் நாட்டில் இவருக்கு இப்போதான் பத்ம விபூசண் விருது கொடுத்திருக்கிறார்கள். இவரக்கு 20 ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முன்பே பாரத ரத்னா கொடுத்திருக்க வேண்டும்.
சரியான நேரத்தில் இவரை கௌரவிக்காத காரணத்தால் நம் நாட்டில் இன்று இசை ரசனை மிக அதல பாதாளத்திற்கு சென்றுவிட்டது.

I don't want to compare IR with anyone else as I don't know others be it Mozart or Beethoven as much as him. At least I have grown up listening to his masterpieces he is a class of his own. Coming to Oscars , we are so much obsessed with Western recognition which we should avoid as they only consider if there is any Hollywood connection in his music. ( That's how ARR got for Slumdog Millionaire)
