The time has come to finally reveal the engine and transmission that will propel Zac’s OBS 2 door Tahoe into single digit 1/4 mile times. That engine is a Texas Speed built, FORD GODZILLA motor. But this is no ordinary Godzilla 7.3. The crew at Texas Speed and Performance have upgraded the entire rotating assembly and valvetrain, ported the heads, and topped it off with one of their Titan Intake manifolds. Handling shifting duties is a Gearstar Transmissions 4L85e Level 4 transmission, backed by an NP208 transfer case which was also modified by GearStar.

Cleetus had a lot of luck with the Godzilla platform.
P.S blew up twice already, Nothing to do with the engine why its making good passes, all on the car setup! He finally figured out how to build the suspension, and fox bodies have decent weight on the rear wheels.

@@whistlinduramax7723 Both the giveaway F150 and his Peanut butter/Mayo wrapped one (except the doughnuts in 4wd duh moment) have done well. The GT500 engine in Neighbor lasted forever.
@@whistlinduramax7723 Cleetus tried to squeeze 1200hp out of stock motor, of course it blew up, and he had to deal with boost creep also. I mean if you take a stock LS it wont take more than 800hp before it throws rods on the side of the block

I think normally that motor would disappoint, but that's not a Ford motor anymore. It's a Texas speed motor, I dont think zac will have any issues :)
Cleetus made 800 on the stock motor with an awful turbo kit slapped together this one with all the good shot in it should make WELL over 1000 without a sweat
Also insisted on keeping the factory intake. Amazed that he's pushing that engine with a significant amount of boost on a plastic intake manifold.

I read Godzilla in the title and was very surprised, a VR38DETT build in a Tahoe? This makes a lot more sense.
Godzilla motor, built by Texas Speed, with turboboost, and 4wd. This thing should race the GT3 when finished.

The Godzilla is very close to a larger ls, the lifters are straight from the ls platform.

I work at a place that makes UPS and FedEx trucks. All of our Ford chassis have the 7.3. Im waiting for someone to wreck a chassis, so i can buy the engine. 😂

Dang... i guessed a 351/400m since the 7.3 is an actual big block tho he gave the hints that its not a small block and not a big block. Welp atleast i got the ford part right.
4.53 spacing.
Ford small block was 4.38
Big block was 4.9
Smack dab in the middle.
Old SB hemi was 4.56
SB Chevy/LS 4.4
OBR control systems works with indy power products and we make a stand alone ecu and engine harness for the godzilla.
I have 3 of these obs 2 door tahoes I absolutely love them and as much as it pains me to say it. That ford motor makes sense for what your going for. Would have loved to see a 4x4 supercharged zr1 motor in there but I can dig what your putting down. Also there's a rail kit so you can swap 5th gen tahoe seats into the obs
Those seats are more comfortable than the new gen gm junk seats
