    Broke my favorite rod and can't find another one like it anywhere but now I know there's still hope of saving it

    My Shimano 6' poleethylene foam handled replacement, even with the same reel, just never left the garage with me happy seeing it's only slightly older cork handled medium action counterpart with his ghastly electronic SUV hatch injuries. I watched the second time today, and now I've even found some fusion multi urpose aint and not only restored my original but gave the replacement a trendy astel look! All thanks to you, sincerely.

    Nice alternative method to others that I've seen. I will save the video for my consumption later as I do have rods I need to repair. I did find however that the background music is distracting. DIY fix for that is I'll turn down the volume and watch your repair method.

    Always wrap the blank in masking tape where you plan to cut to minimize splintering of the carbon fibers

    I fixed a black rod and put some black wire shrink wrap over the spot so it wasn't as noticeable with the colored nylon line I had

  • @samtaylor5302

    Maybe put some whipping around the outside of the repair aswell just as reinforcement

  • @russian9213

    Just remove the splintered section. Seal the end with epoxy. Sand about an inch and half section till it fits in. Lightly coat with thin CA glue to seal the open fiber, wipe off with paper. It's good to go.

    I have a fishing rod that could be separated into two pieces. The top part snapped in half so I threw it out but the bottom is still fine. Where can i find a replacement for the top part?

    • @AdamsFishingAdventures

      I find many broken rods at thrift stores and yard sales. If you can find a repair shop many times they will give you parts of broken rods for free. At least in my area they will.

    • @dannad3956
      @dannad3956 Před 3 lety +1

      You should have saved the bit you threw out, it could have been fixed. You may aswell buy a new rod to replace it. You've probably got a better chance of finding a second hand key to fit your front door than you have of finding the other half of the rod you've got.

    Vídeo bom porém se enrolação porém se não descansar a massa é pré assar é jogar dinheiro fora ou comer massa dura ou crua não recomendo fazer dessa forma

    Its not as strong as a new rod but will do the Job ? Sorry fella but if you are going to do a job do it right . Use Epoxy glue and bind the ends it will be stronger than a new rod !
