  • Yamaha XT660R Rally on motocross track. New mods, auxiliary fuel tank.
There is final stage of MotoRallyCupUkraine 2021 ahead and XT660R has got some new mods such as extra fuel Acerbis 4L tank. It has 12V low pressure fuel pump and some kind of protection. Now Yamaha has 15+4L of gas that's enough for 170 km of sand track. Exhaust canister was moved higher to avoid contact with swingarm. Used Protaper clutch perch with bearing in the lever works perfectly. Everything is fine and I hope to have good race and result.

Very nice build! I hear that you have a popping sound, I got rid of it on my XT by removing the AIS. Take care and good luck.

Very nice bike. The LeoVince is usually on both sides/2 exh.muffler. is this a special construction or original LeoV.?

Thanks! My buddy has such LeoVince slip-ons on his XT. But my one seems to be just the canister from other bike attached to the header. But I don`t know the manufacturer of header. It was bought used.

Hello from New Zealand. I have 660r and I see you have steering Damper on your bike. Can you please give me some advise on model and modification needed so I can fit damper on my bike. Thanks Mark

Hello! You have to use model specific mount with your forks (WP, KYB,Showa, etc) and to weld another part to the frame (the part with pin).

@@kiwipilot407 So I reckon the most simple way is to make it yourself. The mount from Yamaha MXer doesn`t fit. You can easily fabricate over-the-bars mount just from any small sheet of steel. Just look chapter 3.4 www.scottsonline.com/litrack/257.pdf to make holes in right place
