    XT660R may not have the desert racer look & bling of the XT660 Tenere but it's a whole lot lighter (25 KG ) which is a shitload on a motorbike & puts the R into the light weight Adventure bike category .. very rare animal.

But have to see if my 176cm will be good for this bike?=) But yes many say this bike is realy great, and for my use to ride on gravel roads (as much as i can ) . What model exhaust you put on? and did you have to do anything with the maping?=)

      Thanks mate! The XT does have a pretty low seat hight, at least for an enduro bike & there's always the option to lower the rear end or put a lower seat on. I've got the Akrapovic Slip-On titanium pipes & didn't mess around with the mapping. :)

    Hello RichRIDES, may i ask witch crassbars are you using? Did you ever had the problem of a bended breakpedal after crashing offroad on the ride side? D
    oes the crashbars protekt the breakpedal too? thx, Dima

    • @richrides2308
      @richrides2308  Před 3 lety +1

      Hi Dima, the crashbars I've got on my XT660R are made by Hepco-Becker. I never had any problems with the break pedal getting bent after a crash, the crashbars don't directly protect the break pedal, but I don't think it is really necessary. Cheers! :)

    There are 2 options .Tow your wr250f . unload it .ride around .load it up & tow it home OR Ride your xt660z or xt66r to where you want to ride it then ride around & ride it home. Thats the reality.....

    • @richrides2308
      @richrides2308  Před 8 lety

      True words man! For sure it is more fun to ride wherever you want on your bike and go offroading there. I usually put my 2stroke GasGas on the trailer for days on the track. I find it more relaxing to just put the bike on the trailer and drive home after an exhausting day riding. Big enduro bikes also might be slightly harder to ride when terrain gets gnarly ;)

  • @dddonuthead
    @dddonuthead Před 4 lety +1

    this video was great. I cant decide between crf250l or this what do you think? i have a motocross background and i currently a cbr600. I like the idea of doing on road and some off road (mainly lanes)

    • @richrides2308
      @richrides2308  Před 4 lety +1

      Thanks a lot! It really depends on how much onroad and offroad riding you want to do. If you plan on touring and only easy offroading I'd go with the big bike. For lots of technical trailriding and only a little bit of onroad I'd go with a light bike like the CRF250L. Obviously you could still ride gnarly stuff on the heavy bike or travel on a lightweight 250cc dirtbike, because it mainly depends on the rider. I hope this does help.
      Cheers!

    I had an xt 600 z tenere, which vibrated so hard abover 100 km/h i almost had to let go of the bars. How are the vibes on this? Is it actually able to do 110-120 and be rideable for long trips?

    • @richrides2308
      @richrides2308  Před 9 měsíci +1

      Mine does that too, especially with offroad tires. I usually try to not ride faster than 110 km/h on road. At speeds like that it also starts to get a bit windy with the tiny windshield.
