I grew up having girlfriends and had multiple female sexual partners and relationships. However, I have never considered myself bi-sexual. I was able to "perform" and had orgasms but never looked forward to having sex with girls. It was something I felt like I had to do and never really enjoyed it. I was engaged to be married but realized I was making a huge mistake and called it off. I did not want to ruin either her life or mine. I changed jobs, left town and explored my sexuality and confirmed what I always knew. I was gay and love men. It took me a long time to come out but my life got better immediately. Even with the "problems" from family, etc. it was still better being true to myself. Pretending to be straight made me miserable. It was such a relief to come out and be myself.
