I used to fall for straight guys all the time when I was your age. The advantage to falling for straight guys IMO is that it's less soul-crushing to hear "Sorry, I'm straight" than to hear "Sorry, I am gay, I just don't like *you*."

I fell for my straight friend during my freshman year. I remember confessing to him was one of the most nerve-wrecking things I ever did. I told him I would never make a move on him or anything and I respect his boundaries, etc. He was so understanding and told me that he loved me and that it didn’t change anything between us. I was so happy with his response. However, he had always been very touchy with me and that continued after this which almost gave me the wrong idea. I didn’t mind that he was touchy but it was kind of playing with my feelings. He also used to identify as bi and my friends all think he still is. Anyways, long story short, I finally got over him and I’m still really good friends with him

Yes I definitely think you should respond to more people. You never know what kind of connections you’ll make. I met someone on BiggerCity and we started watching television together on zoom and still do it to this day. That had to be six years ago. I would start with the guys that you find attractive and at least build a friendship with them. At least it would be good content if you had the opportunity to fly to meet somebody and have a great time in a different city. Out of curiosity how many People reach out to you on a regular basis? Are we talking a few a day or 50 today…?

Also the more people you chat with the stronger connection you’ll have to your fan base which will admire you more. My nephew is struggling since he came out & has at times felt suicidal, do you think that if he started a social media account to share his thoughts & problems, that may help him ? Does it help you ? @@StanChris Many thanks for replying, I know just how busy you are + I'm not exactly in your usual demographic, when it comes to subscribers. My nephew is 15 (16 next month), he's been physically & verbally bullied by a group of ignorant twats, they even put together a petition saying they didn't want to shower & change with him after PE classes (maybe they thought that they may catch gay) ! It's not just because of his sexuality, he also has 'size' issues if you know what I mean. His school are meant to have a zero tolerance policy on bullying, but in my opinion are not doing enough to help & protect him. Although he does have some good friends who are helping him, his confidence is very low, so I'm just exploring ways that may help him. From your reply I assume you were around 18 when you started on social media, so I guess my nephew maybe on the young side for a social media campaign. One other option we're considering is counselling, can I ask if this is something you ever tried when times were bad & if so, did you find it helpful ? Thanks again for you time & I'm sure your subscriber count will continue to grow.
