For me, Def Leppard and Van Halen were the best hard rock of the 80’s.
People often say this, but in this case it's just fact; there isn't a bad song on this album! Much like your Zeppelin and TOOL journeys, you would enjoy this album top to bottom. 🤘🏽🔥🤘🏽🔥

Thomas Dolby was a session synth player on this track. He plays the Moog Bass Synth.
Couple more bangers, ‘Photograph’, ‘Foolin’. Also a great ballad by them is ‘bringing on the heartbreak’
Pyromania was the first brand new LP I ever bought! I was 13 and it was life changing!
Talk about anthem! This was definitely on the Friday night cruise on the strip! I was elated when I finally got all the words right (including the German intro lol)!
Saw them live & both time better than studio versions. 1st time was b4 car accident & the 2nd time electric w there drummer not missing a beat. He is incredible. The band put everything on hold for 3 yrs waiting 4 him learn how to play again.
My all-time favorite band. IMO the most underrated song on this album is Too Late for Love. If you want to hear what they sound like today, their new song "Take What You Want" is a nice mix of their old sound with current touches. And their new album comes out May 24!

There's nothing else like Def Leppard. First four albums are amazing, but I prefer Pyromania and Hysteria because I was in high school during that era and it was what we listened to. Hard hitting buttery smooth music you can't find anywhere else.
Good stuff. I also suggest “Bringin’ On The Heartbreak”, along with “Saturday Night (High ‘n’ Dry)”.

my personal fave on not only the pyro album buy their entire works is the track right before this one. the first song on side II - "Foolin'". Ahh the memories, cruising in my '68 chevy II nova with the radio or cassette tape blasting

Great stuff! You need to listen to some tracks from their “High N Dry” album (the one before this). Bringin On The Heartbreak is the one everybody has heard, but there are several sawsome songs on that album… Let It Go, Another Hit and Run, You’ve Got Me Runnin’, Lady Strange, etc.
React to Def Leppard's "Heaven Is." You'll love that one, too. It came out in the early '90's. The band had matured and sounded even better.

Taking me back to my teen years, this album was HUGE in early 80's!
I promise you this sounds even better the more denim you wear.......trust me.
They don't make songs like this today, like they did in the 80s. Everthing back, then was "big and ballsy" so to speak.
Lots of great songs by these guys. But, PLEASE, listen to the older songs BEFORE you listen to anything from Hysteria. The change in style is so big. It'd be strange to switch from old to new and back again.
