Def Leppard popularized the power ballad with this song. And they were very, very young in this video. They are still a great live band.

    Excellent band 👏 🔥🔥
    Thanks for the great reaction❤❤❤❤

I date back to the music of the 60's and as much as I adore the music of the 70's, the 80's were supreme! And my favorite 80's band has always been Def Leppard!!!

Most of them were teenagers when they released HND. Rick Allen was 15 when he started playing drums for them.

Average age of band was 20 years old during this LP. Both guitarists and bass player were 20, drummer was 17 and lead vocalist was 21. Very talented musicians and all can sing well too. Live shows and even to this day, vocals and harmonies are amazing. Catchy sing along melodic hooks over harder crunchy guitar centered music at it's best with these guys. IMO, their very underrated and don't get credit they deserve in rock genre, because their music is so popular and had many billboard hits. They set the blueprint for 80s rock not once but twice with Pyromania in 83 and Hysteria in 87.
Some other Def Leppard tracks to check out:
Hysteria (live in the round '88)
Animal (live in the round '88)
    Love Bites(1988)
    Armageddon it (1988)
    Rocket(Hysteria live at O2 2018)
Promises (live Vegas to London 2019)
    Let's Get Rocked ( Hysteria live at O2 2018)
    Just a few...lol
Keep up great work. Enjoy the reactions to my favorite band

This was my first introduction song to Def Leppard too... I think 1st time I smoked weed too lol we went to my friend's at lunch and she busted out her older brother's albums and we skipped a period laying around listening to new (to me) music. It was worth getting in trouble for!😉

They are great performers. ❤. I seen them 7x and each concert was AMAZING. I just seen them in July at Miller Park in Milwaukee WI
They are really young in this video, one of the earliest one.
    They have Ballad and Bangers.
    Please listen to
    Foolin
Love Bites, base line and vocals, one of their best
    Let’s get Rocked
    Rocket
    Pour some sugar on me
    Too late for love
    Rocket
    Stage fright
    Women
    Armageddon It
    When Love and hate collide
Have you ever needed someone so bad
    All I want is Everything
Oh I could on and on. I first
Seen them in 1980, I was 16 and I’ve seen them every chance I could. These are my boys and they still are. They are all in the 60’s, except for Rick Allen the drummer. He was 15 when he joined the group. He is 57 I believe. Rick lost his left arm in a car accident, he went through his sun roof and his seat belt severed his left arm off. The band never thought about replacing him. The group Queen was doing electric drum kits. So they waited for Rick to heal and to build his drum kit. True Brotherhood.

Loved your reaction to this! I was 20 when this came out, so it's pretty nostalgic to me - so many good times and DL was definitely a backdrop. BTW, I would not have minded if you played the remixed one, too, and tried to find the differences; I think it would have been fun & interesting. Looking forward to more DL.

This is a live version, you should do the real video as it's pretty epic czcams.com/video/4g0CJdt-auk/video.html
This was my intro to them and I have seen them in concert multiple times and they are fantastic. All members born in the early 60's so in their late teens, early 20's. All of their videos are amazing.

    • @FrozenRose816
      @FrozenRose816 Před 2 lety +2

This is definitely not live. It's the original album version from 1981, over lip-synced video shoot footage. In 1984 there was a re-release of the High N Dry album that had a remix of Bringin' on the Heartbreak with synths which is the video you linked. (The remix also did not segue into Switch 625 as it does on the original release, you can hear it being faded out at the end of the video above.) There was also a new song called Me & My Wine on the re-issue that also has a hilarious video.
