Thank you for taking the time to mention where you got your plans and ideas from, giving credit where its due is an important part of being an honest maker, and too often people "forget"to mention their inspiration. So I applaud you for that! Great project, keep up the good work!
I DID THIS!! got all my stuff from home depot and lower. and now i have my own company and brought all new equipment.
How much did it cost you to build it?
+TheMajorPCGamer around 350 total.
I just bought ths instead awhile ago and love it...www.amazon.com/gp/product/B016VSQVNO/ref=s9_zwish_hd_bw_bs7Wb_g201_i2?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=merchandised-search-8&pf_rd_r=0DF3AZMNVQ0R4GKW6PHY&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=6df6bb6a-f883-5a2a-a20f-d2270a5c7713&pf_rd_i=12898641
$350???
Almost no way it cost you that much to build this.
home depot is expensive, you can got it cheaper on small stores and buying used wood
This is by far the best tutorial on making this. I planned on making mine soon and altering the base like you to be able to clamp to most surfaces. The two temporary blocks to line the arms are a great idea. Thx for this!
Awesome, I'm so glad it was helpful! I used this press for the first time, last week, and it worked great. Best of luck on your build!
Great to see all the work put into these videos rewarded with so much more work, views and subscribers. OG fan here, Bob! Thanks for everything.
He and with his home completed tools metal stuff..made him looked so man,!
The way of his agility operated the machine nor tools, did a fast measurements, fixing it, till the things done, and can be a useful press printer is just wonderful.
The kind of healthy and positive activities.
Wow. great build. Would love to see a followup with the press in action seeing issues that come up with it and the final product that you can get.
I've been searching for one of those turn table brackets for years... never realised its called a lazy susan, bang found one straight away. You sir are a legend!
this was cool. I taught screenprinting at UC Davis for about 25 years. in the early days we had one similar to this attached to a 55 gal drum.
What a great instructional. The time elapse photography works far better than video. And your narration is very clear.
Absolute best video on how to build a screen printer I have seen.
Thanks John
How can anyone not like this video? Really well put together. Thanks a lot :D only suggestion I'll make is that I'd love to see more of the finished product at the end and you testing out a print. I mean, I know how it all works, but it would be a great addition to your videos for viewers to see this badboy in action.
Thanks! I recently did another printing video and show it just printing a one color print.
this was so so sooo helpful, thank you so much!!
, now i have a summer project to do, once i get my silk screen material
I have seen most your videos, really really good job man. keep it up. Thank you.
I really loved this screen printing press, however I tried to look for the free plan but it’s seems to not be available:( do u have the plan to build it by any chance ? Plzz 🙏
Nice functional screen press. Like the modifications!
Thank you so much Steve Buscemi
Lol, that's exactly what I was thinking 😂
Throw in some bad teeth and a lazy eye... Pre Wedding Singer era, maybe?
So helpfull for my starting clothing business, thank's for the videos, very smart and creative
Great Tut, can not say how bloody excellent this is!
Great build beardless Bob!
man, I was really looking forward to seeing it in action.
Bob - so much gratitude for your video and guidance! I have successfully built your version of this press, and am ready for printing. Just picked up screens and ink yesterday!
I wanted to add that when I drilled holes in my C clamps, I drilled two - close together in order to avoid the jb weld - on a drill press slowest speed using a little bit of oil (just motor oil) - and my cuts went super fast. Like less than 20 seconds.
Also, I was thinking about making the platen large enough for the whole screen to rest on - don't know if this is completely necessary for most applications, but would allow for maximum printable area given the screen size. (using the 20x24" aluminum frame screens like you too. )
THANK YOU in the highest and best way bro!

Great! That's a good call on drilling two holes in each clamp!
Thank you Bob as someone new to silk screening You saved me a fortune in equipment cost just for the table itself

thanx body this video was a great help for me.Although there were some technical problems in keeping the screens at the right angle but I am trying to figure them out by replacing some parts with iron.

I know this video is old but I recently updated my screen print setup using toggle clamps and I figured I'd share that here. I'm considering building this rig myself and toggle clamps are awesome for quickly clamping down frames.

Excellent and I'm building it thanks very good work
Hi Bob:
Bob here. This is some beautiful work. Superb craftsmanship! Just a tip for anyone using J B Weld. If you can, rough up both faces you are trying to join with some sandpaper and I think you'll find that it holds a lot better. I used a ton of J B Weld when I made my one color press. Much respect and thanks a bunch!
Hey Bob :) That's a great tip! Thanks for sharing! I'll give that a go next time I use it. That makes a lot of sense because the aluminum that I was using was really really smooth. Thanks!!
thanks bob. It's great help for a start up. :)
Nice! I want to buy that...very helpful idea.

Perfectly good work
Fantastic! Thanks so much!
Hey great video! I wonder if the thickness of the pieces are critical because I live in a metric country and planks with the measurements in the guide are not easy to find around here. Have you altered the thicknesses or is it very important to use the correct dimensions to make the press work? Thanks in advance!
Can you add in the description somewhere that we can get your version? Thank you!
Thank you sir.
Good Job, i enjoy this

Great Video Bob.
Do you need to purchase the screens or can they be homemade?
+SonarIsDead They can be, but I've found over the years that the store bought ones, especially aluminum, last a lot longer.
Dude this is great
Thank you for this video sir . .
This Bob is so sad, the new Bob is happier. Cool project tho.
he is sad because he had to sacrifice his clamps
no beard..looks better with a beard
You can't use Bob Ross's name like that! It's like people in the 1,300's forsaking God's name guy! Wtf?
@@abelinkin damn straight brotha! Bearded and proud!
He looks that way as he has been a CZcamsr before the major filtering, and knows the evils of our keepers. ;-)
