- We drive a classic Mustang. It's full of nostalgia from a time before our birth. This is a 1st gen Mustang. Also today is an opposite day. Roman is doing the narration and Mr. Regular is singing and rapping.

jigrodrigues accurate.

Nah, that's the GTO!
That prize belongs to the Trans Am, Circa 1981.
yes
My dad bought a '66 Mustang as a cheap, used car to drive to work. He didn't intend to keep it more than three or four years. Nearly 52 years later, we still have it.
"Instead of letting down her hair, she'll let down the English language."
I had a hearty chuckle at that.
Same
That was good.
I forgot how annoying it is/was when people (mainly older girls) call them REE-SEES PEE-SEES! GAAA!

I dunno I've seen a lot of classic mustangs over here as well. They're probably the most popular american car in Britain.
In Spain it would be a SEAT 600, then a SEAT 124
In Italy it would be a FIAT 500, then a FIAT 124
I imagine this is the next car a dealership will bring you to buying when you couldn't afford a Torino back in the day
Call me tasteless, but I liked mr. Regular's rapping.

Sounds like the dude from Cypress Hill 😂
Mix some Cypress Hill with some classic Harold Slovinski and you get Track List Bro! Part 2: Electric Boogaloo

It's better when you realize he's parodying the closing lines of Da Rockwilder by Method Man.
The hi-beam switch on the floor isn't a mustang thing, or even a ford thing. That was just an old car thing.
Jordan Wiley My dad's '77 Nova has it like that.
Early toyota land cruisers came like that too.
Yeah, my '71 Toyota FJ40 has the same thing.
my Dad's 92 F350 has that and i love it.
My 48 pontiac is like that lol
Opposite day!
Roses are red; violets are blue; my speakers went hard at 5:42. ;)
"She's like Repunzel. Except, instead of letting down her hair, she lets down the English language."
Bravo, sir. That was an excellent review of the '66 Mustang. My experience with that model Mustang began with my sister and her new husband in 1968, when just after getting married, they bought a '65 Mustang convertible. I was only....I was younger then so I never got to drive it...not that they would let me, of course.
He was a 'hot rodder' and loved that car...so I went with his judgement and my time riding in it.
Zoom ahead a number of years later and I was able to acquire a '66 Mustang convertible.
Every time I drove it was a major flashback. It still had the same feel and 'aroma'...but this time I got to drive it.
It was in less than great/good shape, so I drove it 'on occasion'...like The Summer. My boss liked it when I drove it to work because he thought it gave our small parking lot 'class' ( because despite being a rollin' wreck...my opinion...it did still Look Good. )
Especially when a client would see it and ask 'Who's car is that?"
He'd answer; "Oh...one of my employees.".
No, compared to my then 'daily driver'...the Mustang wasn't much. But it DID have style, it had History..by then brand Mustang was 'legendary'. One of the good things was my daughter grew up riding in it...now she has an appreciation for cars of that era looks, compared to what she calls the body style of modern cars as 'electric razors'.
So...Mustang Magic, I guess.
Perhaps as your review kind of hinted to; With a work of art, sometimes its what the viewer of that work brings to it that makes the Art...art.
I know my Mustang was in shambles mechanically, its body had 'some places' that needed attention and so on. But...it was My Car, it was a Mustang and the same body style of another car that was a part of a good time in my life.
All in all, a Good review.
I learn new stuff about the cars you've reviewed. The '60 Falcon...was quite eye opening.
Thanks...Keep up the good work.
I was waiting for a true RCR moment to happen and then the A E S T H E T I C moment happened and I was satisfied.
Brap Brap Now all we need is Reg and Roman harmonizing some Macintosh Plus
A E S T H E T I C
RCR means random! haha!
Mr. Regular must be a future funk/vaporwave fan
What's wrong Roman? Didn't pull a "Here's my toy car, here's my real car" bit?
Zero Shima that's a Regular special, Roman gotta create his own jokes
I wonder if, like a friend of mine who's '68 Mustang 390 GT was used by Revell to laser scan for a new kit, Johnny Lightning used this actual car to make the mold for the scale model?
Zero Shima a l.p. ref
My god that rapping at the end was beautiful
it aint his tho
While I will always be here for the Regular voice, Roman is still an excellent writer and doesn't deserve the flak y'all are giving him
Daniel MacKinnon Yeah.
Daniel MacKinnon this.
While I have disagreed with some of his assentments of various cars...I still like his videos.
So i got this coffee machine it makes great coffee. But do you know whats better than fresh coffee .
Eating ass.
$crim eats ass.
''high level gobernment officials'' ........
I love when The Roman does videos. Mr. Regular is fantastic but Roman is delightfully different.
That sudden Aesthetic part! Pure Regular car review there!
Funny thing about that high beam switch, ask anybody over the age of 50 about those things and they will start crooning about how amazing they where and how that's where they belong
TheGarbageman22 yeah, my dad’s 60 and sure enough, he talked about a time where that was the only place a light switch would be
I can't think of a 60's muscle car that I sat in or drove that didn't have that option. I know my 67 Tempest had it.
Where God intended them.
My Fiat Grande Punto requires you to pull the light stalk back like you're flashing someone to toggle high beam on or off. Wigs people out the first time they drive it.
More like anyone over 40.
Roman was so much more natural and relaxed in this than other videos I've seen with him. Really came into his own

The last time I heard RCR and Cypress Hill-sounds...there was a Honda Accord being reviewed.
It's always a joy when Regular and Roman swap roles in reviewing.
Yeah, it's always a fun twist, and this felt quite appropriate.
Pls make more of these. Mix it up a bit. Mr Regular will always be Mr. Regular, but I like Roman narrations as well. Particularly long, essay style videos like Lee Iacoca
Every time The Roman comes on I feel a bit cheated since I was expecting Mr. Regular, but I always end up liking the video in the end. Just a bit of a surprise is all. But yes, I love Roman in what I call his "story time" videos.
Damn, why is everyone hating on Roman?
Hell, it’s refreshing to do something different. That’s the charm of this channel...doing a car review that’s outside the norm.
Ungrateful bastards!
We now have proof that all of Mr. Regular's skills are in presentation, and the Roman can do it all. Great show, loved it :D
That Aesthetic cut legitimately almost gave me a bad hallucinogen trip flashback, Jesus.
This Mustang is best Mustang
No too slow
@@boygenius538_8 who cares how fast /how slow a car is 😭 take a moment to look at the beauty
My 66 pushes 500hp
Guess it’s too slow
Who would’ve guessed the mustang was the best mustang?
@@TheChiefJudgeDredd jesus is there even any original car left
So like what happened with that intern?
TheBaconlover64
Maybe he edits the vids?
Yeah, I thought they consumed him, along with his soul and small dog.
I personally didn't like the intern.
Davinder Saini I thought he was a pretty swell fellow.
They traded him for a microphone.
Anyone else notice how RCR *ALWAYS* uploads at the same time as Jay Lenos garage???
Oguzhan Oguz
1) They both consume massive interweb fiber on Saturday to ensure an early Monday drop.
2) Mr Regular is actually the abandoned love child of Jay and Vanna White. He's trying to get daddy's attention.
Farketmemiştim aslında.
Anyone else notice this isnt a REGULAR CAR REVIEW?
Aboooo
Iki türk buldum 😀
TheStig'sTurkishCousin böyle kanalların CZcams yorumlarında yapıcı normal ve yabancı dilde yorumlar görünce sende de bi mutluluk oluyor mu
Don't change a thing Regular Bros. I live all of the reviews no matter who is narrating.
Only RCR would release a video at 3am when I'm high asf
I love channels that post yummy yummy fresh content at 3am. Other videos get cold and stale before I watch them.
Segundo angulo high asf :( I'm just drinking beer alone in the dark
Medicating at 3am? You poor soul-
Segundo angulo I’m always blown away by the amount of people in the comments claiming to be up at 3am and a Monday morning when he posts these
Roddy Dykes not everyone has a life, you know 😂
Hey, Roman, that was a really nice review! Thank you for that. Now all you gotta do is getting Mr. Regular ready for the success, because that rap is probably going to earn him a Emmy.
That moment when they serve you Dr. Pepper accidentally instead of coke. That's what this review feels like
simio1337 So you like Roman reviews more?
Aperson156 Why'd you assume that, Dr Pepper is garbo
Christian Wertti Because it's a stupid analogy.
Roman has done multiple reviews before. Mr. Regular has said, in multiple occasions, that roman literally writes half of every review (or half of all the reviews)
so its not bad but its not what you wanted?
Roman's voice is borderline ASMR
That outro song is my new ringtone
Send me the mp3
I'm watching this at work, and I almost screamed out in laughter when I heard Mr. Regular say "Opposite Day!"
Prefer these to the fastbacks, somehow they've aged better.
I agree. The fastback is fine, but the coupe is downright dreamy!
I agree with ya
fastback II is sick
Mustang II is...ehh, it's OK, but it always looks kinda frumpy next to the original
Slightly obsessed with trains I always thought they looked super hard, I grew up with em, while they're not a 67 Shelby or anything they look way better than a pre-new edge SN95 or even both fox body styles imo
*percussion*
Opposite day!
Oddly enough, that dimmer switch on the floor was the norm for that era. It was what you would find in Chevies, Plymouths, Ramblers, Lincolns, and pretty much anything else you can name that came off an American production line. When the dimmer switches began to migrate up onto the steering column stalks it rubbed a lot of drivers the wrong way. It felt wrong that it wasn't there on the floor a bit up the firewall from where your left toe normally rested. The left-toe tap that was used to switch between high and low beams was a move that a lot of us had grown up with and it did not seem wrong or weird in any sense at all at the time.
I had a 67 convert right off the showroom floor. Red. 3-speed, six. That car cornered fast and flat.
The hardtops were like driving aunt Gert's car.
The word for the feeling of nostalgia for a past that you have not personally experienced is called anemoia. It's quite an unusual sensation, to feel as though you're remembering fond memories of a time you never lived through.
Mr. Regular listens to Cypress Hill AND can emulate the style???
Well fuck my virginity, there's perfection.
Loved it guys, very well written :')
Very well done review Roman, you're getting better with each one of these!
People forget what the Mustang is, was and was always meant to be. It’s a regular car, with two doors and a V8.
S H E M A L E P O R N A D D I C T I O N
When does Mr R's EP come out?
Good job Roman, the first 5 minutes of this in particular were gold!
Getting a Roman review is like looking through the hole in the truck stop stall. You didn’t go in looking for it, but while you’re here you might as well stick around.
What a gorgeous car, beautiful colours.💙
"Sporty" car versus sports-car, really... But I always thought it did well for what it was intended for - a snappy looking but otherwise average and livable daily driver.
I've got a 67 with the same specs. For a car that you can buy all day long for < 20k, it gets all the looks. Every two blocks somebody gives you a thumbs up or a "nice car".
Fuck yea! Finally! A 66 Mustang Review! And with Roman! My life is complete!
That is a mint af mustang. respect
BUT THE HOMIE GOT SHOT, LALALALA
"She's like Rapunzel. Except, instead of letting down her hair, she's letting down the English language". Holy cow that's some awesome "sick burn" material. Thank you, Roman!
It always makes me chuckle when I hear people talk about older cars and the high beams switch being a button on the floor. I mean, I've never driven a car with this but I remember most of the cars the adults around me had when I was child that had these.
Solid video, Roman.
Helpful hint for Ford engineers: Please have someone sit in your cars before putting them into production. True in 1966. True today. (See "ergonomics".)
See: sit on the floor and have to pull yourself up with the Oshit handles to get out ofv the car...
i honestly enjoyed this alot i really like hearing nick speak really smooth and soothing great job on this video guys i loved it
I'm 18 and was fortunate enough to be able to completely rebuild a 66 mustang that's black and red. I love it. This video is perfect. The gas cap, high beams, and the heat controls make the car so unique. I don't have power steering and the transmission is indeed weird. As for the hazard lights, mine are on the steering column which is aftermarket to replace the "spear o matic" oem part. I love it at the base level and plan on changing a few things, might swap a 5 speed into it some day. Many younger guys like me don't appreciate the classics.
When is Mr. Regular dropping his own Mixtape?
On opposite day
Roman is RCR's James May.
All the high beams on cars from back then were on the floor. When you get used to them its actually kinda nice.
I really enjoyed this Roman review! Feels like I can hear him coming into his own style more.
The problem is you got the secretary's first Gen mustang, my first car was a '66 coupe with a 3 speed manual, no power anything, and a modified 289. It was a poor man's v8 mustang and was fun as hell. It turns well if you have balls and is just quickly enough to be dangerous. (BTW I am 20 now and It definately has a love from people from my generation)
More Mr. Regular rapping please.
My grandparents owned a 66 Mustang and my dad wanted it so badly. But, his younger brother wanted it too, so my grandparents sold it to some rando on Craigslist.
That car was cool. My grandpa installed A/C (they live in Texas after all) and a handcrafted wooden center console.
Riding in the back of that car with no seatbelts in 2010 was like a dream. What a cool car. Wish I knew where it was now.
Will somebody PLEASE center that steering wheel!?! It's nearly as easy as hitting the floor mounted high-beam switch that was standard on literally hundreds of older makes/models. How is this a surprise to car people?
THE PEOPLE WANT MEAT!!!
Primusdragon IVE HAD ENOUGH OF MY VEGETABLES
More Roman. I like him.
I love all of this. Nice work, guys!
OMG that trippy bit, love it. Keep up the amazing videos!
Why is it Roman who gets to have an album? Mr. Regular is clearly the superior musician.
Love the interiors of 60s Mustangs, think they're beautiful. Don't know why Roman wasn't impressed.
OMG YES! I have a '66 Mustang. Can't wait.
When you watch these videos to see how many places I can recognize. I see collageville exit for sure as well as the onramp at Oaks. lol
Anybody think about the book Outsiders when they see this car
"Here's my toy car..." Literally.
I was not expecting that Johnny Lightning Mustang model at the end there. As a die-cast car collector, props for that inclusion.
I am left wondering if this is the first American car from the 1960s the gentleman doing the voiceover has ever driven. Back in the 1960s, most American cars had the headlight dimmer switch on the floorboard.
Mr R’s outro 😂😂😂😂
I want a full version of that starting song
I like trains
RCR does my dream car! This was absolutely, totally, unironically worth staying up until 3 AM for.
Also, Mr. Regular is a way better rapper than I expected!
Hahaha the “Opposite Day” song clip made me lol
Cypress hills vibes on mr regulars scene
Why do you guys always complain about the dimmer switch being on the floor? Its nothing special, damn near evey car I've ever had from the 60s and 70s had it on the floor. Its normal for that era.
30 year old male, I drive my 66 Mustang daily and turns heads each and every day!
when the aesthetic kicked in i honestly thought someone drugged me
Am I the only one that likes Roman’s review every now & again?
Once in a while is fine but Mr. Regular needs to stay regular
Regular Cypress Hill Covers
Best Roman video yet he spoke slow enough for me to understand 😄
This opposite day was better than the last one.
Roman's lady and the tiger bit and how it was tied in at the end, and a cypress hill cover by Mr. R. Loved it all around!!
MR. R's *R A P P I N G* MAKES MONDAY MORNING GOOD
I get a black G37 sedan a year ago and RCR makes a video on a black G37 a few months later. I buy an 85 white C4 Corvette 2 months ago totally forgetting that Mr. Regular made a review of an identical white C4. My dad bought a 65 silver blue automatic 289 Mustang back in May and now he makes a video on it. Oh and my dad has a red 65 Falcon and Mr R has a red 60 Falcon.
T h i s i s g e t t i n g w e i r d
fast bareback!! haha So glad to be the custodian to one of these ... hard top coupe.
Great review man. It brought a tear to my eye.
I was waiting for Mr. Regular to add "BALLS" at the end of the opposite day 'song'. Disappointed.
"but instead of letting down her hair, she lets down the english language"
I'm really glad that The Roman stuck with his own style in this video. I was a bit worried he'd feel pressure to emulate Mr. Regular's style. I loved this, thanks guys!
Best intro to a car review I've ever seen. Thank you 😂🤣
