    The chill music is a good vibe for this video when Oil is this crunchy. Great vid!

    Yeah, oil refining was a handful to figure out at first due to all those different by-products, especially all those fluids. Who would have thought water would be such a pain to get rid of, lol. If you haven't done so already, it will probably be a good idea to send all that polymer from refining to weavers and start making cloth, as you need a fair bit for air/gas filtration soon(ish). I would also recommend crushing the sulphur (it takes ages....) as you will need that, when you start going down the purified ores road.
    Looking forward to the next one! Keep up the good work.

      It was taking me weeks to build the factories to exploit all of that oil on that island, including capacity for overclocked extractors. Especially the power generation to consume the diesel and the fuel. And then adding air splitters for the polyaddition recipe, and getting rid of the excess methane via power generators again.
      Excess water wasn't much of a problem though - just relying on the VIP junction from the pipeline manual in the wiki to reroute that water to some input with higher priority than fresh water.

      Great suggestions, as always! Crushing the sulfur will be top priority very soon as I switch to pure metals for everything. And I can get rid of all that water using cloth! Thanks!

      Thanks! And!
      It is!
      And I love it. Although I think it...takes away from the game. It's great, and a really neat feature, but I think this will be my last time utilizing it on this scale. It eliminates the need for trucks, belts, trains, drones, and thought. It's so cool and handy, but it turns this complex undertaking into a repetitive process for setting up new lines of production.

    When you introduced the area you started building your oil setup in my immediate thought was "ooffff, that's not nearly enough space." lolz. Oil is great in Sat Plus because it also means you get power.

    • @aaavellone
      @aaavellone Před 3 měsíci +2

      There are so many ways to process all the things from crude oil that it takes hours to wrap your head around it.

    • @BEDplaysGAMES
      @BEDplaysGAMES  Před 3 měsíci +2

      I’ll definitely be expanding it. I mention in the video but I have this push to move forward but don’t have a ton of flat real estate to build on. I need to slow down and just design some flat spaces to let me design factories!
      And I have notes from a previous comment of yours about the ratios for oil. I WILL get into it. And fully deal with all the byproducts. Should be fun.

      @aaavellone Před 3 měsíci +1

      @@BEDplaysGAMES It took me about 250 hours to play through Plus. I found that building whole factories and moving to different biomes really helped to move thing along. The catch is that it takes a while to get your head around something so big with all the new items. Blue prints are a must to take a chunk of the load off your mind and the clock.

      Can you explain the mining heads to me? Is there more than one type of miner? And how many heads?
      “Beds your uncle” 😂😂😂

    • @marcbennett9232
      @marcbennett9232 Před 3 měsíci +1

      @@makergaming2022 I can help a little, although I am not as far. there is only one miner. I am not sure how many mining heads, but I have seen 3 I think. (normal, diamond and steel)

    • @BEDplaysGAMES
      @BEDplaysGAMES  Před 3 měsíci

      To add on to the other comment, each mining head increases the amount extracted. The normal mining head withdraws the same amount per minute as the vanilla NORMAL node, but split over two outputs. The steel mining head doubles the extraction. I think the diamond head is 50% more, but not double, but I can't remember for sure.

      Thanks for the nice comment, it's really appreciated. I've been feeling that. I think I have it (once again) in my mind that I have to show some amount of progress, that I seem to make up as I go, each episode so I gloss over a ton. I need to force myself to slow down, show more, and PLAY the game. It's like I'm showing the surface of what's happening and cutting out all the actual play. Since at this moment I'm 100% caught up on what I've filmed to what I've released, perhaps I'll try to show a bit more, go a bit slower, and try to get through the rest of SF+.
      Please let me know next episode how you compare it to this one.

    I do appreciate it being more complex than the vanilla oil processing but I wish it was more. It doesn't have to be realistic but a bit more complexity would be nice
