Have you ever seen a politician change so much on policy, attitude and apparent ideology? Whether the issue is transgenderism, education, Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion, or immigration, Governor Spencer Cox has made apparent 180-degree turns.
Was he naive when he took office? Would he be ashamed of his decisions in his first two years in office? Does he feel bad about spreading gender ideology by declaring his pronouns to kids? Or is he just politicking?

For those of you who voted for cox, it's good that you have seen the error of your ways,
but this is what happens when you don't do thorough research beforehand and now everyone will pay the price allowing these people into office having power over us.
Just as the scriptures have demonstrated, it is very difficult to remove a wicked King
once they have taken power and can usually only be removed afterwards through much bloodshed.
Perhaps because it is america, things will turn out differently but when you consider the corruption
which now permeates at every level, I don't know how you can think it possible to have a legitimate election to vote someone out.
Socialism has been in the United States now for over 100 years and their infrastructure is strong and deep
and permeates all levels of government, in both parties, and in all factions of society.
They have controlled the course of US history much more than most people realize.
Just as Kruschev told Ezra Taft Benson, we will spoon feed communism to you and your children in small doses
and one day you will wake up and realize that you already have communism and we won't have to fire a shot,
you will fall into our hands like overripe fruit.... these words have proven to be prophetic, but the machine was in place long before Kruschev.
Joe McCarthy knew exactly what was going on but he was effectively shamed and discredited.

    • @OntheOtherHandVideos
      @OntheOtherHandVideos Před 21 dnem

@@CryptoSurfer Great! But mind reading doesn't really work, we can only go off of the words offered.
"One of the worst results of that process was the inability of legislators to understand the financial impacts that will be forced upon the Utah High School Athletic Association (UHSAA) and local Utah school districts that will inevitably get sued under this bill. The UHSAA is a private organization and runs the real risk of insolvency and bankruptcy, putting our entire state athletics program in danger. Having just completed a lengthy and very expensive lawsuit, the organization does not have significant reserves on hand. Furthermore, the UHSAA has been clear that if the state ever attempted a ban, the state would also need to provide indemnification to hold the organization harmless in the forthcoming lawsuit.
Unfortunately, HB11 provides no financial protection for the UHSAA, only an explicit invitation for a lawsuit. With several lawsuits already being litigated across the country, why would Utah insist - even encourage - expensive and debilitating legal action with no recourse for the organization that serves our own student athletes and schools? I hope you can agree that if we want to protect women’s sports, bankrupting the institution that is responsible for their participation is a bad place to start."
I find it reasonable in this very litigious time that the organizations responsible for high school sports etc can and would get taken to court by very wealthy adversaries in an attempt to make a change, thus quite possibly shutting down or at least disrupting sports for literally all public school kids in the state. Which is at least part of his explanation.
Reasonable minds can differ on this subject, but that seems like a very real and very widespread consequence - if everyone is willing to take that chance, great! But I'd also wager there are many who would adamantly hate that outcome.

This is an excellent analysis of Gov. Cox. I am in UT and there is a real push to infiltrate the traditional conservative “red state” UT with people who appear to align with conservative values, but once elected push liberal policies as a way to turn our state from red to blue (kind of like what has been done to CO). I saw this the night of the caucus. When I asked questions of people who wanted to be delegates, there were about half that were liberals trying to get elected as a conservative delegate. It’s a similar thing that is happening with the church. People are trying to change the church culture within, thinking that it will change policy and doctrine to push us more to align with the modern day fads that are plaguing our society. We need to be aware of what is taking place.

My wife & I are children of the 80’s and 90’s. We grew up in a more sane time. I started kindergarten in 80. My wife got a teaching degree In elementary ed / special ed. That was just before we were able to adopt 3 babies that are now 11, 9, & 7. We had seen our country changing and the coming storm. During my wife’s student teaching portion of her degree requirements our eyes became wide open to just how little to no say that parents actually have in their kid’s education. All that to tell you that we switched to homeschooling just prior to Covid. So when Covid happened it had no real effect on us. Every day since we are constantly reminded of the correctness of our decision. It wasn’t an easy decision because we were jumping out into uncharted territory. If you love your children, you will make sure they have a good education, irregardless of your own education, even if you have to study a lesson the day before to teach it to them. A lot of times you can learn it With them. Ultimately, we found the best way was to figure out their individual learning type. It was incredible to see them learn how to teach themselves by high school. Then they would help their public school friends with their schoolwork. My children are so grateful and will be homeschooling their own children when they have them.

No parents were invited just him and the high school\middle school kids. My daughter who quit teaching on-line school a few years ago because they had to sit for hours being indoctrinated with all the woke crap and teach what she wasn't willing to teach, kept her kids home from school that day. He also went to SUU and pulled the same crap and had his newly returned missionary son there to testify with him about his policies and for 8 hours it went on with students whining and complaining the LGBT were not being treated right and the few kids who stood up to counter them could hardly get a word in to defend their beliefs. It happened not that long before they announced PRes. Holland would be the graduation speaker and the LGBT went crazy protesting and being awful and then they announced he wouldn't be speaking afterall. It was the most sickening thing I have ever heard of happening in Southern UTah. They slammed the door in his face. Also, one day the little local paper had a notice that they were going to have a dedication type event for our new inland port, which I never heard of. Suddenly we are being told what they are doing is already done. Governor Cox is a pretender. A pacifist. A Neville Chamberlain. He is no Conservative. Governor Cox's family in Fairview are Democrats. Four years ago, Cox was a "Never Trumper." During this election year, before Trump has become the GOP nominee, Cox hoped that people would support someone else BESIDES Trump. I remember the Trans bathrooms and Trans sports veto that got overturned by a wiser Utah Legislature. During the pandemic, I remember how he stood each day on TV and gave us the daily death count. Fun times. I remember when he tweeted ," Just wear your damm mask!" I remember when he mocked the caucus system and GOP caucus participants and delegates when speaking at UVU. I remember how he called GOP caucus participants, "Extremists" for standing up and voting for constitutional principles and anti-wokism. I remember how he lied and said he didn't know what "smart cities" were and then was caught telling groups of people how wonderful "smart cities" would be throughout Utah. It's an election year. Unfortunately, not enough people in Utah are paying attention. I have a feeling Cox will still pull out the primary win next week, even though my vote will be for Lyman.
Cox is the typical politician, manipulative and willing to bend in whatever direction the wind (or money) is blowing. While I agree with the underlying sentiment of his "disagree better" campaign, I still believe disagreement and public debate is healthy when conducted fairly and properly. When we don't give room for debate, we risk compromising on everything and standing for nothing. I feel like that's where Cox is now.
President Nelson did say that peacemakers are needed, yes. But he also said that being a peacemaker does not require us to agree with or support the ideas and beliefs of others that are in direct contrast with the principles and doctrines of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

@@OntheOtherHandVideos I honestly prefer candidates who come from outside the career political scene, (e.g. I preferred Vivek in the Presidential race), but those don't always exist. In this case, Lyman appears to more closely aligns with my political beliefs, so I want to give him a chance. Cox had 4 years and proved to me he's a chameleon that can't be trusted and that he's afraid to make principled stances in support of truth.
And a thought on flip-flopping. If you get into politics, you should have well thought out positions on all major/core issues. With that said, I think it's fine when people change their minds as long as they can explain in detail why they believed what they did initially and what changed their perspective. Then, this change in mind should be consistently seen in the policies they enact or promote. The problem is when people change their position solely based on their audience or what is "popular", but then vote/promote differently on proposed policy/laws.

If I am stumped as to who to vote for, I just look at whom the Salt Lake Tribune hates the most and they have my vote.

I have voted for him and really liked some things he has done but lately not so
much. He is too woke. I don't like that he uses pronouns and some other things he has done.

Chameleon Cox flips on EVERY major issue... he has less integrity than scalp hair.

Ive never been comfortable with him. Thx for brining all this to light. Im😢sure you have heard that he was bold at the convention. Agree with all other comments, especially regarding Romney1

Do not forget how he handled the pandemic. I lost any shred of respect for him when it was proven that he had taken a ton of NEA funds to mask our kids during the pandemic until 2023. The legislature finally forced that to end, but it made me realize how inhumane and immoral the teachers union was. And a governor who would be bought like that doesn’t deserve our support.
