- Here we come with a new video. This time featuring the first ascent of Kout Pikle 9a+ at Byci skala crag (Brno - the Czech Republic). Features quite a lot trying hard, power screams and interesting issues to solve when reaching the anchor. Watch until the end!
Note: Getting permission for bolting in our crag is not easy and takes a lot of time. I did the whole route, clipping only two bolts and 7 crashpads as I am waiting for permission from natural protection authorities to add a bolt lower down. Hopefully, a bolt could be added in the future to make the climb safe and without the need for so many crashpads.

I see what his friend meant when he said it's a stressful belay! Amazing climb.
Was quite cool hearing Adam speak in his native tongue.
I was always of the opinion his native tongue was shouting at rocks 🪨
@@travispagent937 That's how he persuades them into submission.
No matter the language he is speaking he always has a smile. He such a beautiful soul!
As always, thank you for doing what you do. All love to you and your team!
Getting to the second bolt was bold! Go Adam
Dangerous first moves and crappy bolt that anchors, I love it. Nice to see the parts that remind us of a proper climbing day!
7:26 solid scream adam, 10/10
Always sweet when a very old project is climbed.
Another brilliant video! Congrats Adam for another great ascent!
Great video. See you push yourself is incredible, keep up the good work.
And that, my friends, is why my trainer deeply embedded into my climbing to always have at least one quickdraw with me. Sick climb, Adam :)
Thankyou for allowing us a look into your world bro, you seem like the most interesting person on the planet and I'm looking into another world I never knew existed....I hope you're making some good bank from this cause you deserve it.
Im loving the channel, Adam. Keep up the great work. Also, its good to see your subs rise after the MagnusMidtbo 1mil episodes, great business decision there as well. Keep being you, its refreshing😉
So cool as always!! The rock is so beautiful and at the very beginning, the calming introduction with the trees and nature and chilling colours... I recognized I never praise the camera Team!!! You do so great work, the atmosphere is captured perfectly and together with the protagonist 😅 and his friends these videos give so mutch to the community!! I'm very grateful that we all can participate!!! Love it!!!❤❤❤
You’re amazing bro !! Keep up the great work you inspire me to work hard and chase my goals thank you so much.
Great as usual, you deserve more views and followers!
Thank you so much Adam, for inspiring me into climbing! Without you I would have absolutely no hobby or sport interest.
Love it! You oughta put Lukáš into the descriptiuon too, belaying looked like real hard work.
Hehehe, that quickdraw retrieval was dope! AO always unfazed by adversity
Wow, great cameras work!
Adam's videos at the crag are the best.
Such a beautiful climb!
Nice send buddy! Been watching a long time!💪😬
Good job!!! Thanks for sharing
Congratulations on the send!
Another great vid, thanks!

God made human being name Adam Ondra to have some fun for watching him climb
Impressive route :O
Never be afraid to be afraid - AO
Awesome!
I felt those clipping the top troubles hard
Incredible climbing Adam……always a pleasure to watch a master at work, and the distortion out of that knee bar was other worldly!!! I am curious about one thing though? Isn’t that a back clip at 8:32? Know it doesn’t matter, just curious to know if I’m seeing the right thing. Great video regardless Adam✌🏽😃✌🏽
There is a ring bolt, which is a discipline on its own. Generally the rule is it should be clipped with the gate of the biner away from the rock and with rope going out in the intended direction of further progress. Adam clipped it with carabiner the right way and with his rope going to the left where the ring of his original route was, I would say it was the best solution to the situation.
well spotted, but no back clip. As Al Cupone already stated, it's because of the situation there. One could argue that Adam vould have clipped from right to left instead, but I'm pretty sure he assessed the situation and thought this is the better way. In this case you can see from the following footage that there was no danger of unclipping or side-loading the biner, so in the end it's fine.
amazing!!
Quick question, Was giving the other quick draw a safety thing or because it doesn’t count unless you anchor of the finishing point? Even though that you clearly made it up there
seems like it was a safety thing :)
He could not clip the left one (unable to screw it open) - thus he clipped to the right (other route) and got a biner up from more below. There is also 1 bolt missing, see description.
Apropos of nothing - was there not a bolt right at the start, that he didn't use for the send go? The one shown at the beginning? Or am I misunderstanding something?
@@TrackpadProductions Some climbers tend to skip some holds in parts they feel secure at
@@quelandil5738 The boulder problem at the beginning is both the crux, and the most dangerous part... maybe the clip was just too close to the ground to be worth using?
What shirt is the first guy wearing???? It's so cool!
new vid less goooooooo
Next step, add a sitstart for a 9b. ;)
Nice adam
Krása
I want to go climb right now
is the 9a+ grade including the fetching of qucikdraws from adjacent routes? :D
My favorite thing about Adam is if he thinks it's 9B while looking at it, he'll think it's a 9a+ while at the top after first accent, and then decides it's a very intensive 8c by the time he makes it to the bottom again lmao
so nobody's gonna ask for the name of the song which starts at 3:24?
Hahah little hurricane's song
Wait i'm confused. Are you still working with Black Diamond? I saw a post you made about you cutting ties with them. Now I wanna know
Adam, where did you get your knee pads for knee bars? Or if anyone else can answer this question: I have seen this same style of knee pads in many climbing videos but can never discover where people get them. Is it actually a knee pad for a different purpose being used for climbing because “climbing knee pads” and similar phrases yield no results online.
Most people get their kneepads from Send Climbing. Pretty sure that Adam's wearing one of theirs in this vid, don't know the exact model though
who is gonna take the quickdraws usually when you climb this hard routes? going up again?
I'm completely clueless so curious what exactly happened at 8:15 mark? TIA for the info
how often do u get new shoes
My dad knows a guy that knows a guy that campused this climb and it was an on-sight.
absurdly hard
Ok video
hooooieeeaaay
What was the deal with the anchor situation? Why couldn’t he have just clipped into the one and be lowerd, why did he have to put two anchors like it always is?
It's not considered a "send" until you clip the anchor.
Did someone understand the issue with the final hanchor ? Why did he clip on the right first?
The anchor carabine was stuck, so for safety he clip anchor on the rigt, then want to clip corect anchor, but it was stil stuck. So he climbed again for free carabine and finaly clip the corect anchor. A lot of climbing ... I thing cliping the right anchor was enought, but Adam has poor etic..
I'm confused, was this a climbing video or a yelling contest between Adam and his belayer 😂
Savage ..
Watching Adam's videos should be marked as NSFW :D
Only video I have to put the volume down in case neighbours think something weird hahah
I love that he ascends all these boulder problems amd immediately downgrades their difficulties haah
pls nemuze jednou ao prichazet ke skale jenom s igelitkama?
8c boulder means v15 right? madness
I dont speak a word of Spanish but I enjoyed it anyway
Spanish won't help you here.
@@middle-agedclimber i think it was supposed to be a joke😅
I speak spanish fluently but still had some troubles :'(
What company Adam has a sweatshirt. This is not black diamond.
TO JAK?
Really need subtitles as I have no idea what’s being said. 👍🏻
just turn them on
Adam not speaking English was actually better 💯💯💯❤️❤️❤️
lucky f5))
adam please see this you are my inspiration in my eyes you’re to good to be true
i have a question how can someone get better from 6a to like 7a
and how to be able to do lead comfortably without being scared
practice^^ i think we all had the struggle to climb higher grades. I was stuck quite a long time on 6b/6b+ and after climbing regular 7a (boulders) and 6c routes i am still not satisfied hahaha
probably not the most encouraging words but yeah i think the only truth is practice and hard work. beeing conscious of your own movement and condition is kind of key. reading the beta regularily even when your not climbing atm reading betas in your head (i call procastination climbs) actually helped me grow quite conscious of how exactly i now my body.
work on your weaknesses and learn to utilise your strengths to the fullest. take rests and accept defeat, to grow stronger than you were yesterday
There exists a channel called "send edition" and while the person running it isn't the literal best in the world, she provides such a magnificent wealth of information specifically for beginners like us :) even as I push into the 7b/7b+ territory I still find immense value in her videos!
I think, you answered yourself - learn to fall (search for "fear of falling" videos by hard is easy), and get into sport routes harder than your current level.
Try the grade you want to climb and you might surprise yourself. Lead up a route thats hard for you and if you start to feel scared, take smaller test falls to show yourself that its safe. Don’t expect to send the route or for it to feel easy. Just try to figure out the moves and you’ll get better. And keep in mind that onsight attempts will feel much harder and you shouldn’t be discouraged by them. Honestly my point of view is if you want to climb harder, try harder climbs. But if you’re climbing 6a you should also try to climb a lot of different routes to gain experience. You could just alternate between trying hard routes and trying a lot of different easier routes and you’ll get better.
Understood none of it. Enjoyed all of it.
Hahahah same
There are subtitles available when needed. :)
When you can't send the root cause the clip is frozen...
Please add english subtitles 🙂
4:20 make it stop.
5:35
La Sportiva ad, climbs with Scarpa.
Wow, you really suck at recognizing climbing shoes. Even the pic at the end isn't enough..
😆 😆 luego viene otro y con menos lamentos y menos paripe te encadena sin esfuerzo y graduandola con menos grado... hoy en día ondra está más quemado y sobrevalorado en el tema de la graduación de vías
Great attempt but went wayyyy off route at the end :/
Don’t mean to be rude but it would be really nice if you could speak in English man! Or at least put subtitles on it 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Hit the cc button for subtitles.
Why put the title in English when the whole video has zero English?
english subtitles are handmade, so they are of quality

To contrast the "hearing him speak his native tongue: stuff... The amount of non-english, non-subtitled dialog really makes me want to exit out of these videos early so much. To most like 20 to 30% of the video is worth watching. If there were at least subtitles included it wouldnt be so bad.
There are subtitles, just turn them on lmao. Adam puts subtitles in all his videos when there's non-english dialogue, be it Czech, Italian or other languages..
Hit the cc button my dude.
Wild guess: American?
