but i do agree that timing and luck is everything. even 200 was ruined, but they TRIED, Nate vs Conor, Jones vs DC, Brock vs Hunt, Nunes vs Tate, etc. but 2 of those got ruined.

That's because Dana loaded the fuck out of UFC 299 to overshadow Francis Ngannou's next boxing match the day before. A lot of these fights could have been put on 300.

UFC 300 will be a great card, so many superstars in there. i dont know what fans want really. almost all the fights would be main events or fight nights

Planned out within that month ? Fighters usually have 10-12 week fight camps though and book their fight then going in to training camp when everything goes to plan .. i know that gets messed up with injuries and stuff though

Its a great card, just put the WMMA fight on the prelims. Most people dont want a smoke break mid main event and given how a 100 card comes around every 7 years or so, I think they can arrange that.

I don’t think they’ll ever catch lightning in a bottle again. I’d rather them focus on constructing good cards throughout the year instead of holding onto matchups and saving big names for a card like 300. As far as I’m concerned I prefer the current outlook of ufc 298, 299 and 300 as really great events each with an engaging matchup at the top of the card and great fights underneath. It’s just the universe when you put all your eggs into one basket some will break. You saw that with ufc 200. It was a complete bust.

The UFC 200 debacle is far worse in comparison than what 300 has lined up. I feel that the UFC has actually taken the safest route by guaranteeing good fights as opposed to name fights. What's the point in getting a Diaz, Masvidal, or McGregor when you can make new ones?

@@kman9884 When you really break down the 'Transcending the sport' superstars, there's really only Brock, Ronda, Conor, Nate and Jorge, and all for different reasons. Beyond that, the UFC has never really raised a superstar beyond the scope of fighting. 4 of them are aged out of the sport now, and Conor is a drunken roid monkey. I'm hoping UFC 300 brings attention to guys like Jiri, Gaethje, Holloway, and so on beyond just the scope of MMA

I am so annoyed with UFC fans regarding 300. This card is absolutely insane. Every fight announced has at least one big name fighter in it. Izzy returning for the headliner or Perriera defending his LHW belt for the headliner make it a 10/10 card and there is 0 valid argument against that
I think Izzy is done at the top - he got a fucking DUI right before his last fight where he lost definitively despite being an overwhelming favorite. Something going on with him and I will be very surprised if he gets back to the top.
